I drive from Freehold to Farmingdale PO. I see John (Jack) at the window most times. All of my letters or packages arrive on time. I haven't lost one yet. Plus their suggestions helped me so much.Clean and I never have to wait in a long line. A hidden treasure. And I have to add all of the employees there are so nice. Its a drive for me but so worth it.Thank You Farmingdale PO.

Called because I had an issue hoping to get a answer, the guy working this afternoon was rude and condescending. No wonder the postal service is sinking.

Beware! If you live at the end of a cul-de-sac and the town plows all the snow on the street in front of your house into a 5-foot-high pile, they won't deliver your mail unless there's 15 feet of clearance space. I went out and plowed as far as I could through a wall of ice until I was physically exhausted and left more than enough space for the mail truck, yet I have not received mail in 4 days. Guess there's also not enough space for a 2021 Xmas gift either.

I'm not close to this office, but I'd rather go here than the Howell branch, which is less than 5 minutes away. Farmingdale is small, parking isn't great, there is no box outside to deposit mail, and yet, I still prefer it to Howell, which has all those things, plus an Automated Postal Center self-service kiosk! Here's the reason: Whereas Howell used to have 3 or 4 clerks, and good ones, as they retired or quit, they were not replaced. Now, there is only one poor soul left to handle lines that are out the door. She looks as if she would give her eye teeth to get out of there. They have a phone, but refuse to answer it, EVER. Hours at Howell are shorter than at Farmingdale, probably because of the kiosk, which is either full, or out of order too many times; outside boxes are sometimes overflowing....how's that for security? Farmingdale is worth the trip, staff is efficient & friendly.

I sent a certified letter to the IRS three weeks ago and still have not received my green card confirmation of delivery. I can't get through to any human at the post office in Farmingdale or any human at the CS 800#. I should have used UPS or FedEx !! HUGE mistake to use USPS as they don't have any system in place to guarantee delivery or investigate a lost CERTIFIED letter. They take your money and that is the last time they care about you.

It's a Post Office how good can it be? 3 stars is a pretty good rating. I didn't invent "going postal", there's a reason for that. Anyway a few years back, before I was doing Yelp, I was here a lot, doing a bunch of eBay mailings. There was one particular surly clerk with zero personality, soporific, no sense of humor, no patience, and always in dire need of a cigarette and grumpy he had to wait for his break to have one. At that time I would have rated it a two. Today was fortunately better. I needed to pick up and sign for a certified letter and was greeted with a smile and was asked what I needed. Now the card that was left in my mailbox the day before said they tried to deliver it but no one was home, etc. Now I was home all day, no one tried to deliver it. It was easier just to leave it in my mailbox. Although I was told that my letter would be at the P O, I secretly was expecting the clerk to say, "Oh, the carrier has your letter. It's out for delivery." It's happened before. That did not occur. It so happened the letter was on an adjacent desk so there was no waiting. I signed for it and I was off. I was expecting a lot worse so 3 stars really isn't that bad. Now my carrier.....that's a story for another day.
