I really dislike coming to this ShopRite, but when it’s the only nearby store that has what you need, it’s sometimes unavoidable—especially when you’re on a time crunch. I’ve lived in this area for 10 years, and unfortunately, this location has only gotten worse. There are rarely any registers open, and customers are practically forced to use self-checkout.
More concerning and the reason for this review, is the behavior of a few employees, which I’ve found to become increasingly prejudiced. Today was the last straw. A male employee hovered over me so closely and obviously that it made me extremely uncomfortable. I understand the need for loss prevention, but there’s a line between doing your job and making a customer feel targeted and disrespected.
ShopRite of Flanders, please train your employees to treat all customers with respect and dignity. Theft can happen from anyone—regardless of race, color, of their skin and or appearance. Sadly, this experience has solidified my decision: I will not be returning to this location.

Working for ShopRite was a wonderful experience, but I think the hourly wage for people who work the night shift should be at least 20 an hour. I think that would be fair. Less than 18 an hour is very little money.

Need to hire employees. Only one register open. Thank goodness I was not buying much since I didn't have a quarter to use a shopping cart.

Reducing my rating...
This reset has been slow an has made walking the aisles difficult as there is a complete lack of room.
While the process is temporary, the new locations of items does not make sense.
Lastly, you can't have anything on the bottom of the cart when you go back to your car as the off-road conditions of the parkinglot will shake it right off of the cart.
Guess it's time to join our friends that have moved to Weis!

This is my local ShopRite. We’ve been living here for 7 yrs now. I’ve never had a problem. This store is always stocked and have friendly workers. Recently I’ve been buying lunches, dinners and oh I can’t forget the Mac and cheese my kids love from the food bar.
I think I met the chef today and let me tell you sir your cooking is slamming. I had the beef empanada today and wow. It was perfect! I love the roasted veggies. I’ve had salmond, and beef strips today (I think it was skirt steak)yum yum yum. I saved half for dinner tonight. Thank you ShopRite!

Shoprite of Flanders will not slice rib roasts without charging rib steak prices. Other ShopRites accommodate their customers.

The store itself is good. The checkout area is a complete mess…. To the point that I don’t go here if I can help it. 1 or 2 actual cashiers, they have a lot of self check outs but less than half give change. On top of that, they must have done something with the software on them. I used to buzz through without an issue. Now the machines freeze or they stop and call an employee over because it thinks I didn’t scan items. Can we get actual cashiers back or at least give me a discount for doing the job for you?
We went from getting 5 cents off per reusable bag to customers running a register while bagging their own groceries without a discount.

Today around 1PM on 6/22/24 Brittney helped me out at the self checkout. She went out of her way to hold my spot at the register while I went to grab ice that I forgot. When I came back she was putting things in my cart for me. The world needs more kind people like Brittney!!! I hope she is generously rewarded =]
