This shop is dishonest. I took my car in for a check engine light. Before I agreed to let them fix it, I asked if they were familiar with car make and model to which the man said yes. He even mentioned to me that he was the lead technician at one of the dealerships and decided to buy his own shop. So I agreed to leave me car there and use this shop. Here's my issue with them- they never called me to tell me my car was ready. I had to keep calling them back every few days for an update. The guy behind the counter is useless. Then when I finally picked up my car, the check engine light came back on a half mile down the road. So I turned around and went back to the shop. They told me "oh we need to get our guy to come back and reset your computer. It's a special device only he has". I'm already down $1000 for the sensor they replaced so I'm committed at this point, so I agreed to come back when their guy was available to reset the computer. Fast forward to weeks going by me calling them over and over again to ask when can I bring it back to get the computer reset. They kept stringing me along. Finally I took my car to the dealer. They showed me the sensor this shop installed. First it wasn't an OEM part, and second it had pins that were bent. These guys not only didn't tell me they weren't using OEM parts, they installed USED DEFECTIVE part on my car. So dishonest! If you've read this far and are a Yelp user, you clearly care about where you spend your hard earned money. So please be wary of this shop.

Flemington Auto Care is the place you can be assured they will not try to sell add on “extra” charges. You go in for an oil change, you come out with only oil change—no ohh by the way you need this or that. They are honest and trustworthy, with quality services.

Quick service and knowledgeable mechanics. They provided great customer service as well. Issue on my car was still occurring after initial repairs. They took the car back in the same day, found the issue with the initial repair (small issue where wire wasn't full connected), and completed the fix the same day free of charge. I would gladly, and am prepared to when the inevitable occurs, give them my business again.Services: Electrical repair

Customer service is very good… mechanics are not…I moved to Flemington in February of 2022. This is the closest mechanic to my place, so I really wanted to be able to use them on a regular basis, and I really wanted to like them. Below is my unfortunate experience with them… I have no ill will towards them, but I find that what happened is inexcusable.Sometime last year I took our minivan to them to get a battery replaced. They replaced it for a fair price, and they even offered to drive me home since it was raining, which was very nice, but I ran home anyway. When I picked up the minivan everything was fine, but the next time I tried to start the car, it wouldn’t start. I popped the hood and saw that some thing on the batter was loose. It wasn’t installed properly. A neighbor with a ratchet helped me tighten it and all was good. I figured that I would use them again even with that little mistake because I thought that their customer service was very good…A few weeks ago I noticed a leak below my 1999 Toyota Camry. I hadn’t gotten the car looked at for a year so I took it in for a general maintenance check up and asked them to take care of what I thought was an oil leak. They ended up finding a few other things on top of the leak which ended up being like $1700. The price seemed fair enough for the work that was being done, so we went forward with that. A day or two later I noticed the car was still leaking what looked like oil to me. I waited maybe a week or two and gave them a call and brought it back. They looked over their job and said that the oil is leaking from another area. I needed the car, and so I kept it for another few days, and then brought to them to get the work done. Apparently, the oil was leaking from two other places, which cost me another $600. At this point, I am up to $2300. And I was a bit frustrated that they missed it the first time.I drive it for a day or two and I noticed again that something was leaking below the car. I called them again and they looked at it… apparently they missed that two other things were leaking outside of the oil. To be honest, I wonder if they fixed a non-issue the first two times (or failed to fix the issue) and won’t admit to it. The cost of this fix is over $1000. The car probably isn’t worth as much as I have now put into it. But now I am faced with paying $3300 just to fix the thing. I won’t get this fixed there. I simply can’t trust them, and I don’t think that is an unreasonable takeaway from my overall experience with them.I am frustrated because the mechanics should have seen this stuff the first time I brought it in, and now I am on the third trip over. If I had known from the beginning what I would be paying for all of these fixes, then maybe I sell the car and buy something else. Or maybe I don’t. But at least I would have known what I was dealing with.Unfortunately, I won’t go back there again, and I can’t recommend that anybody use them. Maybe my situation is an outlier, but maybe it isn’t. You can make a decision for yourself.Again, I want to say that the customer service is great. I like the guy at the front a lot. But the mistakes on the part of the mechanics have put me in a financial hole that will be difficult to recover from.

I cannot warn you strongly enough to NOT TRUST YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP.I write this review as a total “car guy”, I love cars and I understand how they work. The number one most important thing I think we all want when we bring our cars to the mechanic is trust. Right? We want to know we can trust the people working on our cars to be honest and trustworthy. And for the shop management to be trustworthy and customer-focused as well.If we can’t trust someone, or a business, then the easy solution is to not go there, not deal with them. The tech handling my car lied to me. Repeatedly. His name is Brian. Specifically? They replaced shocks and springs and suspension components at ALL FOUR WHEELS. When you do that, of course you need to align the car. It’s common sense, it’s so basic it’s obvious. Well, when I picked the car up they told me “we didn’t charge you for the alignment” as a courtesy because they took over a month to even finish the work!! Ok, fine. Well driving it home from the shop I noticed the car pulled strongly to the left.I contacted the shop and they said we apologize, bring it back and we’ll redo it. So I brought it back. In addition they had recharged the AC and that too was a fail! So they checked the AC and said “oh, you need a new AC compressor. Really?! But ok. Just do the realignment. They said hey, I know you’ve been waiting here for three hours but can you let us correct the alignment when you come back for the AC compressor? Reluctantly I said ok.I bring it in a third time and the install the AC compressor. Oh… and at that point I’m informed “we can do the alignment because the car is too low to put on the alignment rack.”Wait, what?! Yep. They never did align it the first time! Brian lied and said to the guy at the desk that he test drove it and alignment was fine. No, it wasn’t fine! And you can’t replace the suspension parts and not align a car. Ever! There is even more to the deception and lack of integrity of this shop. But I can’t write about everything.Look, the only reason I’m taking the time to write this review is to hopefully help someone like YOU know the truth, and to warn you against doing business with this shop.Of course not 100% of their dealings with customers will involve deceit and dishonesty. But clearly that’s a risk you should be aware of before choosing this place. They are also one of the most expensive places out there, fyi. Their current labor rate is $144 an hour. And they charge you the full amount, based on the “book estimate” (which is put out by the auto repair lobby so of course it’s always inflated) even when the actual repair time is much, much less. I heard other customers talk / argue with them about the shocking bills they were presented with during the many hours I sat in their dingy lobby waiting for my car to be done.Choose wisely, my friends. I wouldn’t let anyone I know go to this shop. Not friends or family. Good luck.

I know most people post when they have a complaint or a bad experience, But I have to take the time to compliment Flemington Auto and staff for EXCELLENT service. We have used them for several years, several different cars, several different issues and we have been so happy with the staff and the fair pricing of our repairs. They were kind enough to point out additional repairs that may be needed in the future, but were never pushy about it getting done right now.

Well, the tour to the US was a bit of a mess for us due to sudden brake failure, and I was with my family on the roads of Flemington after 6 pm. I just dropped off my car in their parking lot, and the very next day, I received a call from their staff. I came to know that the rear braking system needed to be replaced and was quoted a price. I didn't have a chance to shop around because I was unaware of the market, but I feel that the price they quoted may be a bit higher than the market. Their manager, Broodie, discounted it for me by around 15% of the actual price. The services were great and they were friendly. They waited for me after closing time because I was stuck in traffic, and then they got my car fixed and running. Thanks to Flemington Auto Care.

Been here often for the regular oil change, etc. This past week I had an emergency that couldn't wait, they took my car in checked it showed me what was wrong and approximate what would cost me, I told them to order the parts and had me come back first thing in the morning and my car was done in an hr. Very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. I highly recommend themServices: Air & cabin filter replacement

I live in MAINE! Let that sink in I travel 421 miles to take my car here! (I also visit family, more importantly)I have a fiat and I always get nervous about taking my car anywhere about getting work done on it because of the parts. Everyone who works here is so polite, kind and most importantly understanding! I got an oil change here a few months ago and they noticed before I did that my breaks needed to be replaced! This is my favorite auto shop period and if your car needs work done you’d be a fool not to take it here! ?Services: Brakes
