Transmission Repair near Fords, NJ

“OK so I have a Honda pilot bought it in for service wholesale transmission they told me that I need a new transmission that my transmission had failed…..ok at that point I decided that I wanted to get the transmission rebuilt that’s what I decided on. They had the car a week and a half. I got the car a week ago Friday and I’m having drops on the ground of transmission fluid and antifreeze, so at this point, I have come in today for service to let them know that antifreeze and transmission fluid is leaking from my car had no leaks at all prior to bringing the car in for service. Even when the transmission had failed I had no leaks so at this time I’m here for service. I will let you guys know what’s happening further. I’m gonna leave the car here for service today and I’ll let you know what’s happening further when I pick the car up. At this time I’m being told that they gonna put it on a lift and they’re going to see where the leak says an in-service whatever needs to be taken care of. Again, I will let you know what the results are when I pick the car up.. will give a further review when I pick up my car . Not a good experience right now…….. UPDATE got the car back drove it a week everything’s working perfect like never before I’m so happy yay team wholesale transmission and they made me feel so good, because they were so tentative getting it right right from the door I must say ! I must say they were very communicative with the whole ordeal ,and I can appreciate that.”

“It was nice getting to meet Harry today. We got a lot done today. He knew right away I needed two new front tires and both front/rear brakes were about done. He then showed me my battery was corroded and the serpentine belt had little cuts in them. I mean initially it was just for an oil change but he diagnosed what truly needed to be done. I drive 600 plus miles a week in a Mazda 3.. have to prioritize my safety. He even ordered the parts that were needed in a good timely fashion. I gotta say there's a nice strong difference in my car. “Decided to save money and diagnose my own car.. spent 2 hours on YouTube watching video after video before I gathered up enough courage to get under my truck and replace my 02 sensor and oil pressure switch. Even spent money on a special socket to remove the 02 sensor… I get under the truck and spend two hours trying to get my oil pressure switch off before I damage a surrounding sensor. I came crawling into Matawan Auto with my tail between my legs…. I should have just called them in the first place! I now spent more money on parts and broke my back, only to cause more damage. I generally look for three factors when taking my vehicle to an auto repair shop; 1) Honesty, 2) Knowledge, and 3) Speed of Service. John's Automotive excels in all three aspects. “I took my 37 year old car for diagnosis. Cranford Auto correctly diagnosed my car and charged less than what my previous mechanic did. They were also willing to work on my old car. I will be taking the car back to complete repairs. Finding mechanics to work on 20 plus year old cars is a rarity.”

“Unfortunately my transfer case broke one night on my way home from work in mid September 2021. I had AAA tow it to a local shop. That guy didn’t have the capability to fix it so he sent it to a well known franchise transmission shop who’s initials are LM. Well LM gave me a quote of $3000 to fix the broken transfer case with a 30 day guarantee! Me not knowing much about cars knew that was a very bad deal. I then reached out to my cousin who works at a Chevrolet dealership (I have a Chevy) to see if I could purchase the part from him. I could but with the supply chain issue, the part wouldn’t be available until mid November (a 2 month wait). I relayed this message to LM and he told me I had to have my car towed back to my house until the part came in. Problem with that is I don’t have driveway parking and wouldn’t be able to move the car if needed (such as for the never ending street repairs or snow). I asked him to give me a day to figure out what I could do. The next day I got very busy and didn’t get to figure something out. Late afternoon, LM called and said he had put my car on the street and in Union where he is located, there is no overnight parking so the car will be impounded. I googled “Transmission Shops” and found Dr. Marv’s. He had great reviews so I called him. I explained about the 2 month wait for the part and asked if he would be able to store my car. They said yes and couldn’t have been nicer! So I had the car towed to Dr. Marv’s! More supply chain issues and my part didn’t come in until the end of January 2022. I kept Dr. Marv’s informed of this. As soon as the part was received by them, my car was fixed a day later! Not only did they do a terrific job but between the cost of the new part and the installation by Dr. Marv’s, my cost was far less than the $3000 quote from the other transmission shop! “I've been going to Thrust Performance with my vehicles for more years that I can remember. They are excellent at what they do, they will never rip you off, and I feel that their prices are very reasonable. I was there this morning (11/17/23) to get my oil changed. I had an appointment and the oil change was done very quickly. I've taken my vehicles a few times to other garages before I found Thrust...you know the garages that will change your oil in 10 minutes or less...and because I'm a woman after they get my car up on the lift, they'll come out and rattle off things that my car needs. I don't know what they're talking about and I can't spell what they're telling me to look the problem up. I find it very hard to believe them and they're just trying to get me to spend more money. I especially hate it when they tell you that they greased something underneath the car and you know damn well they haven't! You have none of that with Thrust. If Samar or Mike (the owners) think your car needs something they'll certainly tell you what the problem is and explain it in detail so you understand. They definitely do not put any pressure on you to do it while you're there. I have never felt that I have been taken advantage of at Thrust because I'm a woman. I think Thrust's reputation speaks for itself.... I'm very pleased with all the work that they have done on my vehicles over the years and will continue to use them.”

“I recently had my 2015 Nissan Sentra (CVT) transmission replaced with precision transmission and repairs and the service was exceptional. I walked into the repair shop and noticed how neat and clean the workplace was. The customer service was above and beyond I received calls regarding the repairs my car needed. Not only that but they full inspected my car for further service. They asked my permission for any additional repairs. The general manger test drove my car before my repairs so he could better understand the problems with my car. Many mechanics around this area wouldn't do this for me.
