Be aware of these people!!! Rude unprofessional I wanted to rent the office they’ve told me that they would give me an answer in three days after that that three day I was calling and visiting them to know decision.No answer, sometimes nobody at the office and the last answer finally someone answers the phone and told me not to give me the office because the reason was “I don’t know much about you” After filling all the paperworks and visiting them 6 times F U

Great locationGreat communityGreat restaurants with entertainment (the band White Rabbit is awesome!)Clean with good facilities. Why only 4 stars? Not floating docks but worse no transient slips. They would not accommodate us even as tropical storm Ophelia was approaching.

Been keeping our boat here for 3 seasons, bathrooms are EXTREMELY clean and always well stocked, dumpster is right near slips for easy cleanup after being out on water. Family loves the weekend bagels and donuts. Plenty of parking, fuel dock is super accessible and staff is always a pleasure to deal with.

I wish I could give zero stars instead of one! Terrible unprofessional management... Especially from the head of service department -Jim Knoeller Jr. The way he speaks to people and threatens them with " his daddy being the GM" ... is absolutely disgusting. I did not feel safe having my boat here being around him. Horrible horrible experience... Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

So first things first I don't ever want to be one of those coming on here to start drama or complain . I'm coming on here to make all boat owners, like myself , aware of a horrible marina and to help save them their money , time and stress . My husband and I just bought our first boat and we're actually excited to be at south winds marina . We had a great season until one day in early august . We were coming in from Tices one day and our neighboring slip renter had one of their friends on a jet ski in our slip . After asking them nicely to please get out of our slip so my husband can back our boat in , the kids on the Jetski started to put their middle fingers up at us on the boat and started to curse . I then immediately started to curse back at them and told them to get the f&$k out of our slip . I did not think anything of this incident . No one from the marina said anything to me ... no calls, no emails . So I thought the whole situation was squashed . We were also there a couple of times after to go out on the water and not one person came up to us to discuss the situation with me or what happened . Let me remind you our other slip owners on the other side of us even told me how messed it was on what the people on the Jetski did and actually took sides with us . September 15th was our slip renewal day and I was actually looking forward to renewing my slip with them for next season. I go into the office and the general manager was behind the desk . ( I did not know that , he didn't even Introduce himself to me ) I told him that I was there to renew my boat slip for next year and to put down my deposit . he looked at me and told me he had to get jimmy . I looked at him all confused and said oh alright . Let me remind you that jimmy is the SERVICES manager there and has a slip like three over from us and is best friends with the other people on the boat that was next to us that had their jet skiing friends in my slip . jimmy comes up the office and says " what are you doing here ?" Like all surprised to see me or something . I told him that I was there to renew my slip . He goes oh no your not. your not getting back into that slip and you are not welcomed back here anymore after that incident that occurred. Let me remind you ... not one person reached out to me , contacted me ... nothing . And this was over a month ago . I'm looking at him all baffled . He also goes on and says how they already sold my boat slip for next season ... WHILE my boat was still currently in the slip and the slips weren't going to be released for next season until after September 15 when they let the boat owners put their deposit in for next season . He also goes on and says how everyone said I was acting completely out of line ... even my neighbors . I could not believe how I was treated and how I was disrespected .also I could not believe that I was kicked out of my slip without any notification . He also went on to say how it was all in contract under conduct but after all said and done ... none of this was in the contract . Also nothing in the contract saying how they can break contract and sell our current boat slip without any notification and not before September 15th either . They also would not let me get in touch with John cavalier , the owner. Jimmy is the son of the general manager and he also threatened me and said that the general manager is his father and I would not get far with this . Why can't a boat slip renter get in touch with the owner when an issue like this arises ? Telling me that the owner can't take any phone calls or personal meetings . Trying to cover up all of this so I will expose to all of the public instead . I'm here to save everyone's time and money and stress . Don't even bother booking at southwinds. They treat you with disrespect, won't notify you as an adult when an issue arises until the day you go to renew your slip , won't let you speak to the owner and allow others in your boat slip and penalize you instead of their "

Bad Service/ management experience. Thanksgiving day and we had a reservation for 3 people for 5 pm - sat down at a wobbly little table at 445 and watched multiple waiters : management walk passed us not even offering water. We made eye contact with the manager as he passed to ask another table how the food was. Four bartenders/ waiters standing around the bar talking as we watch them. After 20 mins and multiple people just walking passed us we just got up and left.

Purchased fuel from Southwinds Marina. The fuel dock attendant was extremely polite and very helpful. Fuel prices were very very fair.
