This is a poor excuse for a bank.The FDIC and banking industry needs to take a look at these banking practices. The staff is unprofessional and uninformed. Provided my social to look up an account. Unable to locate it, then asked where I opened it. THE SAME BRANCH. STILL UNABLE TO LOCATE MY INFORMATION. EVERY OTHER BANK CAN LOOK UP ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION WITH YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY. THIS ONE DOES NOT. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? THAT MEANS SOMETHING CORRUPT IS GOING ON. SEEMS LIKE THIS IS A WAY TO ADD FEES TO ACCOUNTS.

Korean staff needs to be replaced. Purchased a house and the loan officer said no to refinance without even looking at documents. Every bank gave us a better rate with quick letter of intent smooth transaction. Amazing how this bank stays in business. So many better choices IMO

Absolutely horrible bank. Moved most of my money out. Only reason I keep some money in is because they're convenient. Move your money out! They don't know what they're doing.

Absolutely horrible experience with a mortgage. They dragged their feet for 5 months on an approved mortgage and finally they said the application expires after 30 days. As an existing customer, I will be moving to another bank. These people have no idea what they are doing.

I had been a client of Hudson City Savings Bank since I was 14; I'm now 60. My parents, grandparents and children all banked at Hudson City. Now, none of us do because since M&T took over, we've had nothing but aggravation.
