I had the absolute pleasure of working with Omar Marte, a Personal Banker Customer Service Representative at Valley Bank located at 1372 Palisade Ave, Fort Lee, NJ 07024. As a new customer, I must admit that I initially had some reservations and doubts about the validity of Valley Bank in comparison to other institutions like Chase. However, from the moment I stepped into the branch, Omar went above and beyond to put all my worries to rest and ensured that my transition to Valley Bank was as smooth as possible. What truly stood out to me was Omar's exceptional professionalism and dedication to his role. He patiently guided me through every step of the process, from registering me with both a checking and a savings account to effortlessly getting my debit card in my hands promptly. His attention to detail and extensive knowledge of the banking industry were truly remarkable. I could tell that he genuinely cared about my financial well-being and was committed to providing me with the best possible banking experience.Omar's exceptional customer service skills were evident in every interaction I had with him. He not only answered all of my questions but also took the time to explain various banking options and services available to me, ensuring that I made informed decisions that aligned with my financial goals. What struck me most about Omar was his ability to make a newcomer like me feel valued and welcomed, which is a rare quality in today's fast-paced world. In an era where good customer service can sometimes be hard to come by, Omar Marte is a shining example of what it means to be an outstanding customer service representative. He consistently went the extra mile to ensure my banking needs were met and exceeded. Omar, your dedication, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to your customers do not go unnoticed. You are truly a great worker and an asset to Valley Bank. I am grateful for the exceptional service I received from you, and I look forward to continuing my banking relationship with Valley Bank, largely thanks to your efforts.I wholeheartedly recommend Omar Marte to anyone seeking exceptional customer service and a smooth banking experience. He has made a loyal customer out of me, and I am confident that he will continue to do the same for many others. Thank you, Omar, for your outstanding service and for making my transition to Valley Bank such a positive and memorable experience.

Absolute worst bank, do not trust them with your money. Customer service, without warning or reason, blocked my 87 year old mothers bank account and told me I had to go to the branch to unblock. I go there with my mom, immediately show our ids and ask them to unblock. I informed them I didn't have much time as i had to catch a flight. They precede to say they can't do anything without the branch where we originally opened the account. I explained the back office told us to go to any branch to unblock but they wouldn't listen. They continued to waste our time and call the branch we opened it at, and after wasting another 15min, the branch told them exactly what I told them, the back office needed to lift the block. Then an absolutely horrible employee Omar Marte, accuses me of kidnapping my mom and forcing her to take out the money for me!! Then he refuses to let her withdraw any funds from her account even though she was there in person with picture ID. I would like to file a formal complaint against Omar Marte. The amount of stress this branch gave me and my 87 yo mom today is unacceptable. The fact that they did not allow my mom access to her money is unacceptable! Me being accused of being a criminal is unacceptable! Also, the people at the branch do not know what they are doing!!

I'm working with this bank from abroad. I had some difficulty with them during Covid, but they seem to be reasonable.

The worst experience I’ve had. Do not work with Jason Balaban from Valley national bank. You need to chase him for answers. He doesn’t not return your calls or reply your emails. You have no idea if your rate is locked or not. He wasted two weeks of my time and because of him I missed out on the best refinance rate. You’re better off taking your business elsewhere to someone who actually cares

I have no problem with Valley as a bank but I have never seen a manager anywhere so unwilling to help with basic customer needs. Really, I thought I was on a hidden camera show being pranked. I am glad there are two other branches close to my home so I can avoid going here. Another manager in the Edgewater branch helped me in person in 3 minutes what took the other manager 52 minutes to NOT accomplish. Mind boggling.
