“My husband and I got married at Tourmaline on 3/13/26. We are both from Forest Hills, and it was so special to us to have our small 45-person wedding held in a location where we met and grew up. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience preparing for our wedding dinner as well as how it all went on the big day. Rebecca was extremely communicative and clear throughout the planning process. She was always available to email and speak on the phone to address any questions we had, big or small. We did not hire a DJ and instead chose to provide our own music, and Rebecca walked us through the process of bringing our own playlists (they even provided us an additional speaker for a small fee). The venue was spotless, beautiful, open and airy, with warm lighting that was both welcoming and intimate. The service was impeccable and staff was friendly and helpful. As food and beverages are one of the most important parts of an event for my husband and me, I won't cut corners on describing how that side of things went! We chose the family style/buffet dinner option with 2 cocktail hour food stations, as well as the top shelf full open bar. I can say that absolutely everything was incredible. We went with: 3 Mains: -Chicken Cordon Bleu -Short Ribs in bordelaise -Vegetarian Paella 3 Sides: -Potatoes Dauphinoise -Penne a la Vodka -Garden Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette Our two stations were the cheese and charcuterie, as well as the elegant raw bar (oysters, shrimp, clams, mussels). Everything was absolutely outstanding, with a crowd favorite being the short ribs and a personal favorite of mine being the chicken cordon bleu. However, I could not name one thing that was subpar. As a big seafood fan, I was tickled pink to be able to have oysters at my wedding. (Even more tickled pink to wake up the next morning and have leftovers for breakfast, neatly packaged by staff).Also to note: they were willing to make almost anything gluten free by request, and they even prepared a separate bowl of plain pasta for my stepson. My guests all commented how friendly the bartenders were and how nice it was to have them remember their drinks each time they went up for more! We added the additional hour to our package and were so happy we did; the 3 hours would have flown by; 4 hours really seemed to be the sweet spot for dinner, drinks, and dancing. Overall, the care, attention, and service that were provided in our wedding experience was top notch and I would give Tourmaline nothing less than 5 stars for making our wedding day unforgettable. “We just had my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah at Rain and honestly couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. Scott and Miriam were incredible from start to finish. They were extremely helpful and responsive during the planning process and were there the entire night making sure everything ran smoothly. You can really tell how much they care.
The space itself is perfect for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or any event really. The atmosphere is fun and modern, and the layout worked really well for both the kids and adults. The entertainment was absolutely amazing and everyone had such a great time. The extras like the photo booth, popcorn and cotton candy machines, air hockey, foosball, etc. really added to the party and gave it an extra kick.
We were also able to open up the outdoor space for dinner since the weather was beautiful, and that ended up being such a huge plus. Overall, Rain made the whole night special and easy, and we got so many compliments from our guests afterward. Will be doing more events there in the future. Highly recommend.”

Every single person we worked with was perfectly accommodating, professional, and genuinely kind, making us feel completely supported throughout the entire day. Our wedding attendant, Monica, deserves the highest praise and biggest shout out— she was attentive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead of my needs (especially with the many outfit changes). Without her, I don't know what I would've done. My husband and I were able to relax and fully enjoy every moment without worrying about a single detail.
Our wedding coordinator, Samantha, was absolutely amazing throughout the planning process. She was organized, responsive, and incredibly helpful, guiding us with care and expertise every step of the way. Having her support made the entire experience feel seamless and stress-free.
And the cocktail hour food...omg truly the best ever. It was abundant, beautifully presented, and unbelievably delicious. We still hear our guests raving about it and telling us it was the best cocktail hour they’ve ever experienced at a wedding.
The grounds were stunning, the flow of the evening was flawless, and every detail was executed with such precision and heart. It genuinely felt like the entire team at Florentine Gardens was invested in making our wedding perfect — and they absolutely succeeded.

“Go see Rocky horror picture show. This is such a weird show that celebrates weirdness. don’t dream it be it. It’s the kind of celebration of creativity that we need more of in the world and I’m so grateful that I got to see this show. I saw it when it was on Broadway last time back in 2001 and this incarnation wasn’t the same, but it was really incredible. I also really appreciated the diversity and inclusion within the Casting. Well done will be going back!”

“Sal the owner took care of everything we needed, was flexible, and was very welcoming & pleasant. Communicated with us immediately whenever we reached out. The venue itself was spacious & perfect for our party of 30, and it gave a very nice vibe almost club-like. The staff was friendly, and helped us with whatever we needed and the DJ provided was great as well. Definitely will be referring people here and booking again for future events.”

“We had a great experience working with Midtown Loft & Terrace! We booked their rooftop venue for our wedding reception in late March and although the weather was cold so the roof and glass walls needed to be closed, it was decorated so beautifully and our guests had a great night. Not only was it a convenient location for people to get to, it also has beautiful city views and guest photos turned out amazing. The venue worked really seamlessly with our caterers and other vendors, and they were very easy to talk to while planning and asking questions.
Loved working with them and was so happy we could have our wedding there!”

I bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a thank you for one of my organisation's volunteers. Bill and his team are so helpful and friendly. I was made to feel very welcome and had a lovely chat with Bill and team.
It's worth walking down 139-West 28th Street just to see all the beautiful flower shops. There used to be 45 wholesalers in NYC Flower Market - now there are just 8 (hotels keep buying up property in this area). So important we keep supporting these beautiful and unique flower shops!!! Do pay them a visit.
I really hope to go back when I'm in NYC again.
