I wanted to give a review in response to the previous review for this office, nothing can be further from the truth, Candy is the kindest, most helpful and knowledgeable person that worked at the Augusta nj post office, chances are that the customer didn't get his way so he lashed out on here. he probably had nothing prepared and it was time to close so it was suggested if he needed time to prepare that other offices were open later. it's actually comical to see a bad review about candy if you've ever met her or had the pleasure of doing business at this post office when Candy Shannon and Erik worked there, unfortunately Candy and Erik retired and Shannon transferred, best of luck to all 3 of them, they deserve nothing but the best

Augusta Post Office is the BEST!!! They will assist in any way they can to make your mail & parcels deliverable with ease... a wealth of information re: all possibilities to best serve you !

I was forced to go to another Post Office, because Candy behind the counter didn't like the two trunks that I was carrying in to mail. She said we are closing in 5 minutes so we won't have time for you. There were two other people in there, and two behind the counter. The Post Office I went I asked what they would do if 10 people walked in 5 minutes before closing, and they said at 5pm they close the doors and they would take care of everyone. To make matters more stressful I was leaving the Country on a flight, but happy I made it to the local Post Office - however, a strong work ethic was not common at the Augusta, NJ Postal Service.

I have never felt more disrespected and it came from the man who works at this post office. Where do you get off thinking you can treat people like this? I work for a company that sent a package to customer who has a PO box at this location and the man behind the counter refused to give him his package saying he had not paid his shipping when clearly he had and the customer called us to clear up the matter puts this employee on the phone and the man just starts screaming at my like a crazy person so I requested to speak to his superior and she gets on they phone and is to scared to say anything. We ended up having to have UPS reship the package because we could not be helped. Absolutely disgraceful

The man with the gray hair behind the counter is extremely rude making nasty comments to me about my packages. I was returning a package from a company in the EXACT SAME BOX I RECEIVED IT IN. with a prepaid label from the company matching the original label EXACTLY from when I received it. And he was extremely rude to me at the front counter. Making nasty remarks. I told him it was identical to how I received it to which he responded "two wrongs dont make a right" and even went as far as to write on my label as if I couldnt see what it said.
