wish I could give 0 starsTitle: Disappointing Response to Identity Theft Incident - BCU's Lack of SupportMy experience with (BCU Baxter Credit Union) following an incident of identity theft has been utterly disheartening. Someone illicitly opened an account using my personal information, leading to a whirlwind of frustration and inconvenience.When I discovered the fraudulent account, I promptly contacted BCU to resolve the issue. Despite their eventual closure of the account, the process was marred by an exhausting and incessant series of calls, adding undue stress to an already taxing situation.My ordeal was further exacerbated by the demand from Trans Union, requiring a statement from BCU affirming the account closure was due to fraud or identity theft. Seeking this crucial document, I approached an employee named Amanda, identified as Teller Number 2568. Regrettably, her response was shockingly unhelpful and unsympathetic. She callously dismissed my request, claiming that the institution "doesn't write letters."Subsequently, I requested to speak to a manager in the hope of escalating the matter to someone who might offer more support. However, this promise of a callback from a manager turned out to be an empty reassurance. No one reached out, leaving me stranded in a distressing and uncertain situation.Adding to my dismay, BCU displayed a lack of transparency regarding the specifics of the fraudulent account. They failed to provide details about the type of account or loan that was opened using my identity, leaving me completely in the dark about the nature of the breach or how it occurred.This situation is immensely distressing and overwhelmingly challenging. The reluctance to provide the necessary documentation for resolving issues with credit bureaus and the refusal to divulge critical information regarding the fraudulent account only compounds the problem.BCU's dismissive attitude, lack of support, and opacity regarding the incident have only added to the already burdensome consequences of identity theft. Such an experience does not reflect a responsible and customer-oriented financial institution, leaving me feeling disillusioned and stranded in the face of an issue that demands urgent resolution and support.I would caution others to be wary of BCU's response to identity theft incidents and their readiness to assist and provide necessary documentation or information in such distressing situations.

I am so so upset with my banking experience with BCU. I opened this account as it was offered thru my employer. NO customer service and all chat agents are rude and there are NEVER resolutions to any of my issues. I just got an auto loan thru BCU where payoff was made almost 2 months ago and they've been charging me all kinds of fees. Called my loan handler and he is never there. Always voicemail or he is on vacation. This is so frustrating and such bad business on their part. I really really hate this bank and need to start looking for better credit union

No customer service. You get automation calls or a chat on the app. They constantly turn my card off for bogus fraud. Just spent 40 minutes waiting at the grocery store checkout to get it turned back on. I ordered a card in April for my wife, still don’t have it. My chip also does not work on my debit card. Absolute clown shoes.Edit: ironically they didn’t shut my card off in time for my account to get hit with a ton of 9.99 charges on July 8th, 5 days to get a new debit card after my account was hacked. That’s absolutely pathetic and that’s “ Rush “ with next day air shipping!?!?!? I don’t understand how that’s a rush on something that is printed not embossed. Chip function don’t matter it never worked anyhowStill haven’t received my spouses debit card or added her to our account.The list goes on and on with issues from Baxter Credit Union. Frankly I’d be embarrassed to even say I worked there if I did.Please avoid to save missing a mortgage payment from then screwing up literally every single step of the way

merged with my work credit union and was told it would be smooth. bcu lost my title and now that i have paid the car off i have to do their job to get my new title. they are full of i am sorry but that does not help AT ALL. im sorry does not fix ineptitude.

Literally the BEST bank everrr you wont EVER regret having an account with them they are SOOO efficient and kind. Ive been with them over a year and ive NEVER experienced such great service like this from any company. I dont have a branch near me and yet they still make my banking needs super easy and convienient !!
