WE JUST RESCUED A KITTEN, AND CALLED OUR LOCAL FRANKLIN LAKES ANIMAL HOSPITAL TO GET SOME INFORMATION ABOUT SPAYING THE KITTEN. FIRST SPOKE TO AN EMPLOYEE NAMED "TANYA" WHO WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. ***READ OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON RUDE RECEPTIONIST** EVEN THOUGH I WAS VERY POLITE IN MY INQUIRY SHE ANGRILY SCREAMED THAT PRICES ARE HIGH ON EVERYTHING AND ARE GOING UP EVERY MONTH BEFORE I EVEN FINISHED ASKING THE QUESTION. SHE YELLED TO HOLD AND NOT INTERRUPT HER AND THEN TOLD ME THAT SHE WILL NOT SPEAK TO ME OR GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T LIKE THE TONE OF MY VOICE AND HUNG UP.??? I CALLED BACK AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER, "ANGELA CAME ON AND POLITELY GAVE ME A PRICE OF $989..TO SPAY A KITTEN. NOT SURE IF $1000 IS A REGULAR PRICE OR "GO AWAY" PRICE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

Literally the best experience at a vet I’ve ever had. Dr. Greenhut was absolutely amazing with my cat who is definitely not the best behaved when it’s time to get checked out. Between her and the vet techs (who were also incredibly sweet and patient) they were able to get her through an exam somewhat peacefully (which was a miracle). I usually don’t write reviews but I had to share this experience because in the past I’ve actually been sent away with her half way through the visit because of her aggression towards the staff. Dr. Greenhut really worked her magic though and I am so appreciative.Side note the entire staff was super friendly and professional. Overall great experience, highly recommend.

Hello all pet lovers,I can't say enough about the Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital. It's really second to none. I've been involved in animal rescue for thirty years. I've rescued animals on the street. I've trapped animals for rescue. I have between 5-8 rescues in my house at any given time. This place is special. If you take wild animal to any animal hospital in our area they euthanize it, yes the big places too. This hospital was started by an amazing women that really cared for animals. Unfortunately, her life was take too soon. The vets and the care they give at this hospital are second to none. They are compassionate and knowledgeable. Also, they have the ability to run a lot of diagnostics in house. That being said I want to thank Donna personally. Donna is probably the most dedicated animal lover I've ever met. She has saved so much wildlife. She made me feel great that people like her still exist. I've brought her so many rescues, even a baby field mouse and she never ceases to amaze me how she rehabs all these animals with amazing love and her connections. I've worked with at least ten animal hospitals and this is the best hands down. You should support Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital and this is not because of any other reason than they really care about animals better than anyone else out there.

Absolutely wonderful facility. Folks, experience counts much more than textbook knowledge. These are experienced doctors who know and understand clinical signs and how to read them and translate them into a proper diagnosis. Competent, caring, experienced, and professional - this place IS what you should be looking for in an animal hospital.

This wonderful animal Hospital was one of the very few that was willing to take and care for young injured wildlife. Donna is so unbelievably kind for taking abandoned baby animals and nursing them back to health. I am so so grateful for places and people like this! I can not even express how amazing these people are.

I noticed a lone gosling living outside my window at work. I called several places and FLAH was the only facility that responded with urgency and kindness. Thank you for helping this little guy! Thank you Donna and staff!

This hospital is one of the best ones I've been to and I've been to many places in the area and in NY. I've seen multiple doctors at the practice and has been satisfied every time. They take extra care of all my pets. The staff is all super friendly and very accommodating even when I had emergency visits. I just recently brought my Guinea pig in to see Dr Ward. She was truly amazing. I usually see Dr Onesies but she wasn't available this time. She is also amazing and super sweet. Dr. pomerantz too, all excellent doctors. They treat my pets like their own. I highly recommend this place. I trust my pets are in great hands. I'm very thankful for all the information they have given me even when I call with just random questions about food for my cats and issues they were having.

The front end person that I dealt today with was the rudest person I have the misfortune of dealing with. She never even looked up and literally walked around as I was speaking to her. I am going to request my dog's records and find another vet. She is the first impression and if a place allows that, I will go elsewhere. That is NOT acceptable..

I think the doctors in this practice are good, however the practice's policies are SO unfriendly and discourteous to their customers. They seem to not value people's time at all. After you are done with your appointment, you can't just pay and leave, you have to sit in their waiting room for an undetermined amount of time until the chart comes out and then they have you come and pay (this has taken up to 15-20 minutes at times) They won't do electronic prescriptions for prescription food or Heartworm meds with Chewy... they actually make me take time out of my day to go there and pick up a PAPER script, and snail-mail it to Chewy. This is unheard of in this day and age. When I complain, they literally don't care. I wrote them an email to ask for a one time exception and when i got an automated response i emailed again to say i was very dissatisfied with their lack of customer service and they happily told me they could send me my pets' records. They don't even care that they're letting their customers down and that they have unhappy customers. And i have literally 7 pets that i take there, so it's not just a little bit of money. If you want a vet that's pretty easy to get an appointment, they're pretty good. If you are busy and value your own time, find another place. I know I am going to!!!!

I unfortunately had to put my senior rabbit to sleep. Everyone at the hospital was very caring, kind and compassionate. The experience couldn't have been any better for the situation. Thank you to the staff.

The only reason I am giving one star is for their wildlife service. Other than that I would never take my dog there again. We saw Dr Kozak for 10 years. And.Dr Jack. Then suddenly she was always to booked to see my pet. We tried other vets in the practice but were always dissatisfied. She was sick one day and we had to take her to another practice because Dr Kozak prescribed tramadol without seeing her. Many times we asked the vets if her breathing was normal. They assured us that her noisy breathing was seen in short nose dogs. Just before the Fourth of July weekend we called because her breathing was over 125 per minute, very loud like a loud snore and she was laying on the floor. They put us on hold and she came back and said the dr said that’s normal because she’s on prednisone. They didn’t ask for us to come. Not long after her breathing was worse. We rushed her to Oradel hospital. By the time we got there, she was in respiratory distress. They took her right away to an oxygen cage and sedated her. They had to put her in an induced coma to incubate her. After x rays and exam. The prolapsed palate was blocking her airway. They did surgery to correct it. She was there 3 days and 2 nights. This was something the vets heard for years. It should have been diagnosed years ago. The surgery then should have cost app $1500.00 and not ten times more at an emergency vet. Especially when we called our vet and he said she was breathing fine. Oradel told us to make a 2 week check up with our vet. Once again…. Dr Kozak said she gave our dogs case to another vet there. And she could check her back but not her surgery and go back to Oradel. Oradel said a vet could check it.We are definitely never going back to Franklin Lakes. They have to many patients, they can’t properly provide care for all of them. We are extremely happy with the vets we now go to at Oakland Animal Hospital.

Brought a downed baby squirrel there after calling and getting permission. Met with Donna who is basically an angel on earth. What a way for a business to give back! Extremely impressed.
