I made an appointment a week in advance with the agreement they would confirm the day before. I did not hear from them so l called. The man who answered The phone said he was out on a test drive and would call me back. This was at noon time. At 5 PM I tried calling back, and the line was busy the rest of the day. Never did hear from them that day or the next day. Lost a whole week and now I have to make an appointment somewhere else.

They rebuilt the transmissio on my 1970 Corvette and the car is a totally different animal. They did an excellent job and the car is just better overall.

I own an early 2000’s Honda AWD with a lot of miles and I needed some advice along with work done on my transmission / filter / hoses. Let me tell you, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a transmission/mechanic shop from the jump. Chris is very knowledgeable was very kind to me, patient with me, and helpful. He gave me the rundown of all my different options & prices without trying to sell me to death and let me know if it was worth spending my money on. I really appreciate that kind of honesty.
For the first time in a while, I do not feel like I was taken advantage of or given some astronomical price like I was from basically every other shop that I’ve called (especially corporate shops!!)
This is a hometown business, ran by honest, hard-working individuals, and they will forever have my business. Give Chris a call if you are having transmission troubles! please don’t waste your time elsewhere.
For those who do not know a ton about cars - have no fear, they will walk you through every step and penny you spend without having to wonder. Thank you ACCUTRANS Franklin!!! Thank you Chris!

Let me start off by saying I want to give them more stars I really do.
I took my car there because It was jerking and stuttering. I use the vehicle for work and told them more than once I need it back. A few phone calls to set a good time that works for everyone and boom. It gets dropped off.
The entire day goes by and I decide to call them. No answer. Wait like 20 mins, No answer. Wait a little then call back Then I get "I'll call you back.
It's getting towards closing time (as in like 10 mins till closing )and no call back.
I call yet again only to be told They'd need another day to "Really look at it" and that "They'll get it taken care of first thing in the morning".
I get it, sometimes things come up. It's inconvenient but I take the next day off. Again, all day, same thing, no answers, no call back. When I do eventually get it back, the main issue is fixed. Great! but Im told I need other parts which they will call me back with a price for. Ok. Over the next 2 weeks I call a few more times. Either 1; No one answers or 2; I am apologized to for being overlooked and not getting a call back.
This review is to point out the fact that over the course of those first few days and the following 2 weeks, Including the initial phone call to set up the appointment I have 17 outgoing calls and 0 incoming calls from this place. I even got one of the 2 problems fixed at another mechanic and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and fix the remaining issue. NO call back. I had time to schedule 2 different mechanics and get ALL the work done since I've last heard from them. Do they not want my money? Do they not want me as a customer?
3 Stars.
They fixed what I asked them to and did a great job.
I would never have spoken to anyone if i didn't have to play phone tag on the offensive. It always felt like they were overwhelmed and made me start to feel like the bad guy for calling so much asking about the one vehicle that I needed for work.

After having my transmission fluid serviced at Accutrans, my 2008 Accord drives like a new car. Customer experience was great and the staff was very informative. I understand now that the best way to service the transmission on any car is drain and fill. Also, they use the recommended OEM transmission fluid. Parking lot is always full so plan ahead.

Accutrans is a great place to take your vehicle for repairs/maintenance. They are always pleasant, helpful, honest, fair upfront pricing, professional. Always respectful of you the person (they will explain the problem/required repair so that you understand the entire situation) also respectful of your time/scheduling. They will also shop for the best price/most economical way to get the job done. My Dad was an auto mechanic & rebuilt engines, cars were big part of my life so I’m cautious of who cares for my vehicles & I am very comfortable with Chris, Larry & Carmine- (all my compliments apply to all the guys) thank you Bill-you have a great crew!!

If you need anything done, you’re in a bind, or have been putting off that oil change, seriously, look no further. I’m a newcomer from Minnesota, and these guys are a home run in both work completed and customer care. I recently brought my truck in for a full transmission rebuild. I’ve never been to a mech shop nor been more eager to want to give my hard earned dollar to.These guys, specifically Chris, have been an absolute pleasure to work with. You’ll get an honest appraisal of what you need to get done with no extra toppings that the dealerships or competitors will try to flavor with what you came in for.Even if it’s something as simple as an oil change or lines replaced, do them a favor and drop your vehicle off with them. Well deserved and you’ll thank me later.

Very bad service went there about 3 weeks ago with my car with a bad transmission and I have car shield so they said that they called and never did and finally after 2 weeks they called and were supposed to send pictures and info to car shield and never did so after all of the calling back and forth we have our car back unfixed and will be going to a different shop

I've been taking my cars here to Chris for a few years now. Three different cars. I travel from Andover to go here because I know I can trust him and the price is always reasonable. He always takes the time to diagnose even the weirdest things is friendly and always manages to get things done when they are over booked. My cars have always been fixed correctly the first time.

I can't say enough good things about Chris and Bill from Accutrans, they are friendly, fix the problem fast, accurately and also they are reasonably priced.First I had them fix a leaking trans tail seal, which is still dry to this day and this time they replaced the water pump idler pulley and serpentine belt.Friendly, fast and prices right, Worth a 5 Star review.....Stephen D.Service: Transmission
