As a member I was delighted to recieve an email from them saying I was pre-approved for a $5000 personal loan, all I had to do was enter the promotional code provided. Well that turned into having to fill out an entire application as if I was not already a member of the credit union in good standing only to be quickly denied the loan on bogus grounds after they pulled why credit to reveal a 760 rating. Financial Resources Federal Credit Union wasted my time and an unessacery credit pull in a bate and switch drag net scam. They fraudulently advertised I was pre-approved for the loan to induce me into applying only to be denied, that is not good banking, good business, or good faith and I believe when applied to however many of us members they sought to induce and deceive, it may even be criminal. I intend to file complaints with the State Banking regulators and better business burea. This treatment is simply unacceptable, I will be banking elsewhere. Thank you and Gzhemnedo (Great Spirit) bless. <3

I like the bank a lot, the people are nice and friendly and even though they're a bank they don't feel as corpo as the others. That being said I got huge gripes with their bank app. I know they didn't create the app but since I have to use it so much it's a problem. The app feels outdated and archaic. Other banking apps have streamlined mobile services and bank utilities that are easy and intuitive to use like Capital One and Chase, but the FRFCU app is a drag and is one of the reasons why I feel like leaving their service. Things that should already be implemented and in use are not even included like base notifications about deposits and withdrawals, upcoming payments and the like.Until those things are fixed I can't really give FRFCU a higher score

Terrible customer service. I've heard the place is filled with more trash than the garbage truck that just rolled past my apartment.

This branch is a well oiled machine. I came in looking to secure an auto loan and was shocked with how easy and transparent they were to work with. Emilio showed up as a vested partner in my situation; as someone who empathized with me. He explained the process, outlined what was needed, and secured me a loan at a fantastic rate. I look forward to banking with this branch in the future!

Financial Resources Federal credit Union went into my account twice since June and stole money. They took two payments for 1 month of car payments, 2 separate months. Then after robbing me, they added late payments to my credit and dropped my score by 40 points. The customer service is TERRIBLE. Nobody cares about customers or fixing their own mistakes. Stay far away from these crooks.

I have been calling them for 5 hours and have gotten a busy signal. I am nearly blind and so I'm going to take the train from Brick NJ up to Somerset to see them because nobody is available to get MY money. The worst.

Have been a member for a few years. Customer service is beyond awful. Had a major issue with them a year and a half ago where my account were all frozen by mistake by Chuck Wojo at the credit union. After trying to deal with it for over a week I finally had to send the President of the credit union a message through LinkedIn just to get the issue resolved. Now I have had a secured credit card with the credit union for several years. Never missed any payments, and account has always been in good standing. Apply to obtain an unsecured credit card and due to the credit unions beyond liberal underwriting guidelines I am declined. Granted my FICO score I receive on the denial letter is plenty high enough to qualify for a credit card with other major banks. Call the credit union to receive an explanation on the decline. You would think I was trying to talk to the president of the United States. After over an hour on the phone I finally find out that Janet Hitchcock is who made the decision on my application and I am given her phone number. I call and leave 4 different messages with Janet and to no surprise never received a phone call back. Call back into member services and they cant tell me if Janet is in the office or not, or if she is out on vacation or anything. So on Thursday morning 4/11/19 I call back into member services again and the rep tells me that she sent an email to 4 different people to give me a call. Surprise!! I still received communication from no one. By mid-day Friday it had been 24 hours with no call from anyone. At that point I called back into customer service and just asked them to close my secured credit card and deposit the funds into my checking account with the credit union. The guy said no problem he would take care of that. I look online and see that the account was closed five minutes later, however, funds were not put back into my checking account. So on 4/12 I closed my secured credit card, and now today is 4/15 and the funds are still not in my checking account. Then today out of the blue who calls me??? Janet. She advises me she only works two days a week - Monday & Tuesday ?!? So instead of your member services team telling me that they just let me continue to call. Janet confirms with me that secured deposits are placed in an interest bearing account, and that was my thought to begin with. So, since Friday 4/12/2019 until so far today 4/15/2019 the credit union is earning interest on money that does not belong to them. So I am going to give them to the end of the day to put the money that does not belong to them back into my checking account before I file a formal complaint with the NCUA & the CFPB. No sense is telling me to "reach out to someone" as I have already done that over 50 times with no success. WORST CREDIT UNION EVER is Financial Resources Federal Credit Union.

They are the best. Gina is awesome to deal with- very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional, even going as far as mailing deposit slips when we ran out. It's nice to walk into a financial institution and be known by your name and not just your account #.

This year after moving states, I had to make a few large withdrawals. FRFCU noticed my transactions were unusual and the Fraud department immediately put a lock on my card. I called in and I had to verify my information with unprofessional agents, but after many incompetent failure on their part and many unnecessary calls on my part, finally they restored my account. Not to mention every time I called the Fraud department they could not find my information. Uh? why did Bridgewater FRFCU transfer me to them or gave me their number??? For the past 4 to 6 months, I noticed whenever I got Craig, at Bridgewater, he would handle my calls rudely before he even verified me to go into my account. When I could finally get past the intimidation air he would deliberately create to discourage from getting helped, I would then tell him I have a secure loan and the payments on it must be done from my bank account from the main office. I have never seen this man but for some reason, I feel targetted. About 2 weeks ago, he picked up my call, and when he identified himself. I quickly told him that this payment must be done from that office from my account. He goes oh (knowing very well, what I meant) and he said hold on; to my surprise he transferred me to the credit card company. Craig is a Manager; he knows very well payments made by them onto my secure loan card is free, but if the credit card does this transaction, they charge me a transaction fee. Since my first complaint against him (which needed to be done, because the way he handled my very first call with him was so uncomfortably strange that I thought I had dialed the wrong place), he always tries to transfer me to the credit card company. Perhaps my accent gives away my nationality or my race hmmm, but there is definetely an irrational reason for this man to have it in for someone he has never seen and who has never provoked him. Over a week ago, after I filed a second complaint against him, the next day, my card was supposedly hacked. When I called the Fraud department, the lady verified the charges and location, then she told me all of the charges were denied because the perpetrator did not have my cvv. I told her that I needed access to my card immediately, and she said to call Bridgewater. The next day I called Bridgewater to see if they could expedite my new card. Fyi, there are reasons I use/rely only on this card. Anyway, feeling suspicious, I asked the agent to tell me the charges that were denied, and to my surprise the charges she mentioned were not the same that the Fraud department had told me. I then told her that I did not believe that my card got hacked and that I thought it had everything to do with my complaint against Craig. I didnt expect her to agree or disagree, in fact that agent handled the call well. Generally most of them are helpful. I am now heading toward the 2 week without access to my money only because they would not send it at their cost. I am told if I need the card to be sent quickly through secure/trackable channels I would have to pay 50 (some lame explanation about we have to make the card; as if when they send it for free, they do have to remake the card). A long time ago, when I first opened up this account, this bank ran efficiently and staff was so helpful and pleasant, now I have to deal with retaliation by a Manager, agents at the Fraud department who think their job is to intimidate when they see you are at their mercy to get access to your card, and some agent by the name of Day who asks me with an attitude, Are you upset? Do you think I am upset (some street tone, while I am obviously upset that I am still waiting for my card) To be honest, I think Craig used his managerial influence to inconvenience me. Xmas is in a few days, I havent had money for over a week and it looks like I will be without money for Xmas. I ALWAYS get their letters in a few days, I am sure Craig has is the root cause of this and to show me their power, they did send the card, hoping to force me to pay 50$ to get my card.

The manager of this institution who is in charge of my account is the worst ever!!! He has done everything possible to take our property because it has a lot of equity. I am trying to pay off the loan that is scheduled for Sheriff Sale Monday (today is Friday). He has refused to give me the information I need, and has given instructions preventing anyone at the credit union to provide me with any information at all. Unbelievable!! Have tried to speak with his supervisor, but am not able to do that either. Stay far away from this terrible place. BTW, we were good customers of the credit union for about 20 years prior to making the mistake of taking out a HELOC with them.
