This is by far the worst vet I've ever been to. Everyone in there is nasty and they don't care for the animals that go there, they're purely just trying to make a buck with no sympathy for anyone. My dog has been a patient there for 12 years, since we got him as a puppy. He's now 12 years old and he's either sick or dying of old age. We made an appointment with Fredon and they called us a few days earlier to say they had a cancellation to bring him in a day earlier. We arrived on time for our scheduled appointment and when we called to tell them that we were in the parking lot, the receptionist, Laurie, acted like she had no idea what we were talking about. We were counting on this appointment because my dog is not doing well and I'm not sure how much time he has left. Laurie was extremely rude, unhelpful, and just nasty in general. I've never talked to someone who didn't care for animals as much as her. The mistake was made on their end and Laurie did absolutely nothing to fix it or help the situation nor did she have any sympathy or empathy for my dying dog or our feelings. They called to make the appointment a day earlier and then Laurie told us to go home and just wait but my dog doesn't have time to just wait and we had a scheduled appointment. The veterinarians aren't any good nor do they care about the animals they're taking care of. We've had many problems with this place over the years, as did many people I know. We only stayed with them to be consistent with who we took him to, but that was a huge mistake. Laurie was the last straw and I will never go back to this place again. I recommend not taking your animals here, as they aren't genuinely cared for. And if you speak to Laurie, all I have to say is good luck.

To say I'm upset with them is an understatement. They put in place a cancellation policy ever since coronavirus that was never even fully explained to me. Being frontline workers, my husband a cop and I a nurse, we are two very busy people. We had an appointment that we completely forgot about especially because we both worked the night shift prior. When I remembered the appointment later this afternoon we called immediately to explain the situation and apologize. The receptionist on the other end of the phone was immediately rude and nasty to us. She wanted to collect payment, 54 dollars for our missed appointment before even speaking with us. While this new policy they have is frustrating, what's even worse is the way you get treated by their receptionists. We bring our 5 pets there and have been clients for years. We spend a lot of money annually there and when we recently moved, we chose to drive over an hour out of the way because we love Dr. Grau. They could really care less about any of that and it was clear all they cared about was their money. It's unfortunate that it has come to this, but it's apparent that it is time for us to find a new vet. They just lost 5 clients.

I was told by many Dr. Grau is THE Vet to see. They said she is compassionate about the animal and their owners. They were right as I discovered today. Over a couple of years my dog has been to different vets (over 4) with an issue of a torn ACL. I had settled with one I thought was decent. Now that her other leg is showing the same signs, I lost all confidence with that vet and felt so patronized. I went to see Dr. Grau, who gave me the much needed confidence, and they were very fair for the price of the x-ray, visit and future surgery as well. I could have saved time, thousands of $'s, pain and suffering both for me and my dog with unreliable holistic medicine, elevated egos with their elaborated facilities and unneeded multiple tests with overcharging fees. Fredon Animal Hospital sets a perfect example for what a vet and facility should be. I am so so grateful to the entire team at FAH. Owning a dog who is ill shouldn't be taken advantage of especially with corporate hospitals and vets popping up all over the county and thankfully Fredon Animal Hospital is NOT one of those.

Best vet I've ever been too. Treated me and my pup with respect and patience. Staff was friendly and very understanding of my not so friendly pup. They have a way to separate any "issues" in the waiting area and are super attentive to the owners as well. They are VERY reasonable with their cost and I definitely think they put the health of my pet first above making money. Makes me happy to see a vet treating animals instead of treating his own luxury. The office is quite a joke for me to get to (about 35 minutes) but I won't go anywhere else.

I've been taking all of my animals here as a budget friendly option. Never did I know that these people working here would be so friendly and accepting! I just got a puppy and sadly he had fallen off our bed, I called them as soon as it happened and they were able to squeeze me in to see the vet tech to make sure he was okay. They were super fast and found out it was just a chipped tooth and sent me on my way with NO CHARGE. All the ladies at the front desk were super consoling and made this new dog mommy feel much better about the situation. Now for my favorite vet, DR. Roche she is so amazing and kind, you can really tell how compassionate and caring she is about every animal she sees. She is very informative and keeps you on the same page. I honestly love Freedon Animal Hospital and I hope for nothing but good experiences for everyone and anyone who thinks about going to this vet!

The doctors are great been going here for many many years however the tech Robin was so horrible to me while my cat was sick she should not be in this line of work. It was hard enough to put my beloved cat down to experience Robin and her rudeness was awful I hope no one else ever deals with her like I had to.

I did not even want to give this so called veterinary business a rating! Was recommended by a friend, drove a 1/2 hr for emergency visit because my dog has labored breathing, not eating/drinking, vomiting, diarrhea and this joke of a woman acting as manager tells us (while putting her earring on casually) they will not accept our dog because we're not an existing client...WHAT?!?! So if my dog is having heart failure in my arms you simply state sorry we can't help you. DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT take your pets there!! This was the most ridiculous non caring experience I have ever had...5 thumbs down to this business UPDATE: my dog has now passed...thank you Fredon Veterinary Hospital...you suck!!!

Our dog has been going to this vet for over 11 yrs. We referred several of our friends and family to this vet. We made an appointment to have our cherished dog to be put down due to his failing health. The vet tech took us to the examination room. Asked why we were there. We explained the situation. She flat out told us 'NO' we won't put down your dog, we don't do that here, we aren't that type of establishment and left the room. This left my husband and I feeling even worse than our heart wrenching hour ride to vet and having to make this very hard decision for our 12-1/2 year old family member. The doctor came in and examined our pet and reviewed our options and agreed with us that our wishes were appropriate. The doctor escorted me to the reception desk instructed the one staff member with which paperwork I needed to complete providing the necessary authorization. Two other staff members in reception very loudly said "We were told we aren't putting that dog down!" I had to explain the doctor provided this instruction to your coworker. Being already being heartbroken to make this hard decision and then being treated in this manner is certainly NOT EXCEPT ABLE! Both my husband and I have tried calling and left numerous messages requesting that one of the doctors please return our call. We have yet to receive a call. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised by their staffs unprofessionalism if the doctors are doing the same. We hope these doctors and staff do not run into people like themselves at their time of need for compassion. Wish we could provide no stars as a rating. Beware.

When my 12yr old dog needed to see a doctor, we asked around and several local pet owners all said to go to Fredon Animal Hospital. I immediately knew why, they were terrific from the start. They were upfront with available schedules and fees. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. When the time came to make the final choice, the staff, especially Dr. Dana, were very supportive. They made my puppy very comfortable and gave us the time we needed to privately say our goodbyes. I will definitely continue to go here for all our future vet needs. Important note: this is NOT and emergency vet clinic.

I've been to several animal hospitals and I can honestly say I've never received better care for such fair prices for the care of my furkids. The staff is friendly and compassionate. THEY CARE!!! wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

I just wanted to make an update from my previous post. I continue to love the service Dr. Roche and Grau offer my dogs. However, once again when I called, I am not sure who I spoke to, but the woman on the phone had such an attitude. I would chalk it up to having a bad day, but each time I call, whoever I speak to is rude on the phone. If it weren't for Dr. Grau and Roche, I would stop coming. Please assist your staff on how to speak to your paying customers.

Our 4 year old dog is prone to seizures, and anyone with knowledge of seizures knows that if they begin happening one after another, it is a medical emergency and time is key due to the possibility of overheating. When my wife got home from work early and witnessed our puggle having a seizure when she walked in the door, and then another, she called me at work to let me know. We live 30 minutes from Hampton Animal Hospital WITHOUT traffic, Fredon is about 15. I told her to get to Fredon as fast as possible and I would call the vet to let them know there was the emergency and that she would be there shortly. The woman on the phone simply stated that they would not take him because he did not have an appointment and we would have to go somewhere else. Are you kidding me?!?! Ladies and gentleman I'm sure this is a great business, but to turn away a dog that severely needed medical assistance in the middle of a rural area with next to no options? You're going to tell me some 75 year olds cat couldn't wait another thirty minutes to have its nails clipped so my dogs life could be saved? Unfortunately great business goes hand in hand with being heartless. Imagine driving with your seizing dog, by yourself, and getting a phone call you had to drive double the distance because the only vet in 15 miles turned you away. Shame on you for telling my dog no. You're disgusting. To hope you're put through the same, Sean and Alexandra.
