Verily, I am most pleased to pen a glowing ode of praise for the esteemed Builders General Supply. In this age of modern marvels, they hath proven to be a beacon of excellence in the realm of construction wares. With a treasure trove of materials and tools fit for knights and lords alike, their emporium hath aided me in erecting a stronghold of grandeur. The artisans of Builders General Supply didst provide sagely counsel and assistance, guiding me through the labyrinthine choices with courtesy and expertise. Their wares, stout as a castle wall, didst withstand the trials of time and test. Thus, with a heart full of gratitude and a tower of satisfaction reaching to the heavens, I declare them worthy of a full five stars in the annals of commerce. May their reign of quality and service be eternal!

I go here to have my LP tanks filled. They actually momentarily bleed the air out so you actually get a full tank of LP.Where those LP exchange places never seem full or last.

Avoid this place at all costs. The help is unprofessional and not very knowledgeable about their door products. We ordered a door and the salesperson that helped us never called to let us know the door came in. We were waiting over 8 weeks!We called several times and never received a return call. We were told they would let us know when the hardware was brought in from the other store. Never received a call. When I called again, Brian , stated, "Didn't anyone call you to say the door was in. I've been on the truck doing deliveries and Stefano was told to call you." When we went in to make a final payment, Stefano told us that he didn't call because we were Brian's client! When the door was delivered, we didn't like the huge knot in the door. Brian agreed that it didn't look right. After a few days, I contacted the store again and the manager, Michael did nothing but yell at me. The store might be good for stock items, but don't put your trust in them for any special orders. The store picked up the door and refunded our money. We didn't want a refund, just wanted the knot fixed! The salesman from the company told us he could have easily used some epoxy to fill in the large gap. Unfortunately, there is no supervision of these guys that work there and nor does management care! We called the Tinton Falls store (where owner is, we were told) and got no results.

Bought things from Builders General in the past and the experience was okay. Their prices seemed better than most places;however, I will never purchase anything from them in the future. I would rather pay more and know that the place is professional and will treat people with respect. They ordered a door for me and they never followed up on anything. Brian had said that the price might be more because prices went up ( which i didn't believe), and he would call me to let me know. I called two times and spoke to people in the office that said they would call back and never did. Brian was going to bring in hardware for the door in a couple of days and never did either! I called several times to see if the door came in( leaving messages) with people in the office and never received a return call. Finally, after several calls I reached Brian and his reply to me was, " Didn't Stefan call you.? I was on the truck all week and asked him to call you." When we went in to pay I mentioned this conversation to Stefan, and his response was that we were Brian's customer. Lack of respect and concern for customers with an attitude, like they don't need your business. When we got delivery of the door and did not like something on the door Brian handled it fine, but Michael the manager (we think) started yelling and screaming at me on the phone,like a lunatic! There is no accountability at this place. The workers look-up to this manager as their mentor. That's why the guys working there are as disrespectful to their customers as their manager is. Brian treated us nice, but unfortunately, he is on the truck doing deliveries and has very little influence, when it comes to handling a problem. We were given back our money, which wasn't the resolution we wanted. The sales rep from the door company told us they could have rectified the problem easily; however, they took the door back and I will never give them any business. Go to an establishment that is professional and treats their customers with respect. We tried contacting the owner at Little Silver, and never received a call back! When I called freehold again, to speak to Brian, I got this Michael that just screamed at me and told me that he wasn't going to listen to anything I had to say!!!!!!!!! I , as a consumer will not support an operation that allows these things to go on and the boss does not care. His employees, obviously have no accountability to anyone! The Freehold location, as told by an employee, is a distribution center and deals with people of the trade. I was told that if I went to one of the other locations, I would have been treated differently. HOW SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received their number from Andersen. Called twice looking to make an appointment. Left voicemail twice for two different people. No one ever bothered to get back to me to actually schedule the appointment. Sounds like Builders General has more business than they can handle and are not interested in actually getting customers.
