Karen O. in the Optical department has loose screws! She made a simple contacts purchase seem like confusing puzzle. The lenses were $88.88 per box. In order to qualify for the Bausch & Lomb rebate, I had to purchase a one year supply, a total of 8 boxes. So, 8 x $88.88 = $711.04 without the insurance discount. I asked how much I must pay out-of-pocket after my insurance contribution and presented the rebate info posted on the website. Karen, along with her colleagues, became awfully slow and confused. At first they thought Baush + Lomb would apply a $200 discount on top of the purchase, then they claimed that my insurance would only cover $120 of the $150 available for lenses, due to some kind of insurance code within the Sams Club system. After about 1 hour she finally processed my order, and determined that I owe $561.04 and that I am eligible for a $300 gift card from the manufacturer, not $200 off contacts at the register. As soon as I got home, I immediately contacted my insurance company, demanding an explanation of $30 difference with Sams Club on the phone. Karen informed my insurance agent that it was because of how their system processes bulk orders, total bs! The agent confirmed that it was illegal for a company to charge an arbitrary amount, based on "codes" and insisted that I wait until Sams Club submits a final claim. One week later, it turns out, they charged my insurance for $150, which explains exactly what I paid at the register! You see $711.04-150.00=561.04!!!! I went back to the store to discuss the matter with the GM, but the Optical Dept was closed. The Customer Service booth claimed that their management can't access an itemized invoice, showing the insurance coverage. They claimed it was inaccessible because of the "prescription" even though it had absolutely nothing to do with the prescription. Then they insisted that I talk to the weirdos in the Optical Dept again! This is how pathetic these people are in person. You can spend your money there but if there's ever a problem they will give you the ol' runaround. If you ever purchase anything from the Sams Club Optical joke, make sure you do all the calculations beforehand. It doesn't hurt to bring a geriatric psychiatrist along. Unfortunately, the Samsclub.com system can't process insurance payments immediately yet. I don't know if good ol' Karen thinks its funny. I certainly don't find it entertaining. I am surprised I received my contacts quickly. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE AT SAMS OPTICAL IN FREEHOLD NJ AGAIN!

Sam’s Club in Freehold presents an exemplary model of what a warehouse club should be. As one of the 600 branches, this location upholds the brand’s reputation for expansive retail space and a wide variety of products.Upon entering, you’re greeted by the vastness of the store, with high ceilings that contribute to a sense of openness, preventing any feeling of claustrophobia that smaller, cramped stores might induce. The aisles are wide and meticulously organized, allowing for easy navigation and a comfortable shopping experience, even during peak hours. This layout also facilitates the discovery of new products, making each visit potentially surprising. The store’s cleanliness and orderliness are apparent, with products stacked neatly, and the floors polished to a reflective sheen, showcasing the establishment’s commitment to providing a pleasant shopping environment. The lighting is bright and evenly distributed, ensuring that all products are visible and that shoppers can easily read labels and prices without straining their eyes.

If you enjoy long-hold times and being transferred back-and-forth to different overseas customer service representatives, look no further than your local Freehold Sams Club.

Former employee here, Sam’s club is out of rotisserie chicken. They will tell you that the distributor just didn’t send but the truth is the rotisserie chicken manager left for a ten day vacation and didn’t arrange for anyone to cover for her. Apparently the store manager told corporate the same lie. They lie to you because they don’t respect you.
