I wanted to thank Vitamin Shoppe's employee, Chris, who helped me extensively yesterday (2023 - Sept. 23). Employees like Chris make it more likely that I will shop in person at Freehold's Vitamin Shoppe instead of online.Because of the wealth of information these personalized interactions provide beyond the online marketing and advertising, employees like Chris make it more valuable to me to be able to shop in person. I am grateful that VS is located near my home and local supermarket to ask nuanced questions of staff that would otherwise go unanswered if were I to exclusively shop online.I am grateful for the specific effort Chris put in to match my search in a complicated industry. He gave me enough space to explore other areas of the store and make additional purchases while also staying within earshot to answer additional questions.As I compared various ingredients in your vitamins, Chris helped me find the best combination of items to include the correct formulation of ingredients I was looking for--while also ensuring there was no redundancy in my nutrition. Chris made sure I would not end up taking too much of any one ingredient to inadvertently cause me mineral toxicity, which is invaluable to me.Chris also went above and beyond by looking up several ingredients that were unfamiliar to me (without me asking) and explaining how they were used in the body. My phone was dead, so his extra effort to make sure I got exactly what I wanted was extremely valuable to me.

I was in the store tonight you guys should watch the camera's and see how many customers you lost Is your workers to night Warren paying attention to no customers but one that was having a conversation with 1 And the other one wanted to play with his phone I always have a problem when I go to Freehold store .You know what I'll stick to Eatontown store they're betterOh and here's today's date in case you do want to look at the Camera 01/18/23

Unfortunately I do not have a very good review for this particular store. Customer Service is extremely lacking and I feel that a diversity training class is way overdue.My husband and I went into the store to look for a particular item and I had to physical go over to the customer sales associate to ask them if they had a particular item in stock. I asked the sales associate if they were able to look in the stockroom to see if it was available. The sales associate went over to sales manager and asked him. The manager didn’t bother to even to talk to me and looked like he did not even want to be bothered! My husband was at the door and I think they thought we were going to rob them!!! I am appalled at your customer service Vitamin Shoppe. Totally disgraceful!

I will never step foot in this vitamin shop location again! I came to pick up some vitamins for someone I am caring for. To make sure I picked up the correct ones I had the empty bottles of the items I needed to purchase with me, while in the store. After locating everything I needed- without any help from the staff- I then proceeded to the register to pay for the items. I placed the empty bottles in my bag & was going to give the cashier my credit card to pay. Before getting the credit card out my bag he proceeded to ask to scan the items i placed in my bag. I politely explained to him that the bottles were empty & I used to them to make sure I picked up the correct items for someone that I am caring for. We then had a stand off. I asked if he was accusing me of stealing, as he would not proceed with the transaction until I showed him the bottles. I begrudgingly pulled the EMPTY bottles out my bag & said to the cashier do you REALLY think I would steal items while standing right in front of you?!? He picked up each bottle to make sure they were all empty. Then tried to passive aggressively pivot by offering to help throw the empty bottles out for me. This associate not only needs training but should consider finding another job. His accusations were 100% incorrect & he did not even apologize.

Staff is great, been going here for 10 years. They recently fired the manager who is probably the most knowledgeable person there, so I will be going to Marlboro for now on.

Came to the location at 3:50pm and it was locked… employees are inside and the hours are supposed to be 10am-6pm.
