LOVE this store! This is a hidden gem if you are a yarn lover for your crafts. I went here to use a gift certificate. Betty was very helpful at helping me pick yarn to make socks. There is a great variety of yarn texture and colors. If you weave your own yarn, they have the supplies to do so. They do offer classes also. I 2 skeins of yarn and a pom pom for a hat I'm making for a great price. The prices are very reasonable. I plan on going back to buy more yarn and support this small business. Located in Frenchtown, I would recommend parking in the lot across the street next to the gas station. Street parking can be tricky especially on the weekend. Ater your visit, there are many other great shops & restaurants on Main St in Frenchtown

The Spinnery is my all-time favorite "small business"! Betty is a wonderful teacher--so talented in fiber arts and the best and most patient teacher I've ever met. I've taken courses in basic spinning, art spinning, rigid heddle weaving, 4 heddle weaving, natural dyeing techniques--and have enjoyed every second of every class! And her store is stocked with the most luscious fibers, too... I can't recommend The Spinnery enough! You've got to check it out--then you'll be "hooked"!!!

The Spinnery is located in Frenchtown, NJ. I have discovered this store by accident, strolling on Frenchtown's main street in my day off. From outside seemed like a boutique, and when I stepped in, I literally felt like Alice in Wonderland.Betty - the owner of this boutique- is an "artist" in every sense of the word. Lovely, warm personality, creative mind, a fountain of knowledge, and welcoming, she will patiently guide you through the "rabbit hole" of her "kingdom."At The Spinnery, you can find the most beautiful yarn, best quality, the trend, and also ready knitted items. To describe the fluffy quality, and colors, would be really impossible. You have to see with your own eyes! The prices are marked fairly according to the quality, and also Betty is ready to help with a discount, if it's possible.Since my first visit to The Spinnery I have returned here again, and will continue to come back to this store. I have purchased wonderful yarns, and Betty has even been my guide in town. All together, the owner of The Spinnery has offered me a pleasant and unique experience visiting Frenchtown. For this reason I want to give credit where credit is due, share my experience with the potential customers, and pass my accolades to Betty.

Pleasant local yarn store. Small but yet set up in a way that makes it feel so much bigger. I walked through the entire store a few times and still saw things I hadn't the times before. The owner is very nice, and extremely helpful. Not a big variety of knitting needles, but I was able to find what I needed. The shop has classes. For a hand dyer or weaver, lots of items available

Betty’s shop is incredible as is her knowledge of all things involving fiber. Many years ago, Betty taught me to spin wool! I am still spinning and have enjoyed her classes in weaving. Much ofmy spinning supplies including my wheel have come from The Spinnery! An excellent contribution to the shops of Frenchtown!

I visited The Spinnery for some advice as a new spinner and to get some supplies. It is a beautiful, cozy little shop and the owner was incredibly affirming and helpful. I bought some Icelandic top and other tools. She had everything I wanted or needed and gave me great advice I was able to use as soon as I got hime. I *love* the fiber I got and can’t wait to return!

I haven't visited personally, but I had a spinning wheel problem that I couldn't solve. Even on a day that must have been busy with visitors the time was gladly given to my call and my problem was solved. I was granted patience, calmness, and professionalism. I have found that any establishment that provides such service over a phone call provides that exact same service in person. I would definitely recommend for spinning wheel questions.

This store is amazing. There's yarn, handmade scarves and other items, fluff for spinning, hand carders, sock blockers, dye...It's a fiber lover's dream. The classes here are stellar too. I took a 4 day workshop and learned how to spin on a spindle, on a wheel, how to card wool, and how to blend different colors. Worth every penny.
