Like a step back in time. Old world recipes like your grandmother used to bake! Excellent rye bread, danishes and poppyseed strudel. My family has been shopping here for generations. In fact, my grandmother lived on Jewel Street and did shop here when she wasn't in her own kitchen baking. She really liked the crumbcake!

Old world bakery, serving up fantastic jelly donuts. Highly recommend the glazed traditional jelly vs powder or mixed fruit jelly. Traditional seemed to have so much more filling. Nice crisp bite on the outside, definitely freshly made. Next time will need to get a sheet pan crumb cake, seemed like there were 4 different choices.

Small bakery very, nice people. Polish They sell Chrushiski, Walnut and Poppy Seed Roll all year. Polish cream cheese cookies like my aunt use to make. Cakes and Pacskis. I want to try their homemade potato salad, kielbasa, coleslaw and macaroni salad one day. Cash only or check. Bring your own bag. I got a maple walnut cake for a going away party. $14. Chrushiski are boxes of $7.00 each. Home made. Kielbasa and nut rolls and cookies etc are all weighed by the lb. Kielbasa $7.00 a lb.

I absolutely love the poppyseed streudel. And I special order the Christmas Czech bread called hoska every December. The hoska reminds me of the way my Aunt Anna used to make it. It just would not feel like Christmas without waking up to a slice of hoska on a Christmas morning. And their poppysedd pastry is great too.

Very nice small bakery and good prices! Their flavors very much reminds me of grandma's/mama's home cooking. I had the cheesecake bites and a mixed berry donut ?
