“MAKE SURE TO READ THIS!!!!
I was very hesitate on booking with Budget when I went on a business trip over the weekend due to the horrible reviews. So I decided to not book and went to the front desk when I arrived. Unfortunately they didn’t have any cars so I ended up booking with hertz. But it doesn’t end there.
For my flight back home, it ended up getting canceled, leaving me stranded at the airport. I was able to find a flight back home from Charlotte so I ended up booking the flight and went quickly to the rental desk. I went straight to the Budget desk because I know they have the lowest rates and I spoke to Austin. I asked him if he had any cars that I can take to the Charlotte airport and he said they had many. He allowed me to book online to get a better rate and even upgraded me at no cost from a coupe to a suv. I was able to get to Charlotte within 70 minutes and to my surprise I was only charged for the hourly rate, instead of the daily rate, a significantly lower cost.
All the negative reviews are due to no cars or no one at the front desk. The airport just moved all the rental agencies to one central location and all of the agencies have a lot more cars. So hopefully those issues have been resolved.
Also word of advice, don’t use a third party company to book your rental. Just book it straight online on the agency’s website. It’s the lowest price and will ensure you will get a car.

“We’ve been renting from Ryder in Moonachie, NJ, for years, and they continue to deliver outstanding service every single time. Any time one of our trucks or trailers is being serviced or unexpectedly down, Ryder is our go-to, and they never disappoint.
On our most recent rental, we picked up a trailer for a two-day rental and later discovered a small roof leak during a sugar pickup. I immediately contacted Ryder and spoke with Maynard, who provided excellent customer care and assured me the issue would be handled promptly. He had Luis, the supervisor, call me right back.
Luis followed up quickly, asked us to return the trailer when we were able, and remained flexible since our driver was still finishing his route into the next week. Once we dropped the trailer off, Ryder promptly processed our reimbursement for the damaged trailer. The shop tech even took it right into the back immediately to be serviced, no delays, no hassle.
This location consistently shows professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care for its customers. Special thanks to Maynard and Luis for their responsiveness and commitment to great service. We will continue to use Ryder Moonachie for our fleet support needs, highly recommended!”
“This place is outstandingly helpful. Some months back I had a rush job to get a hitch and electrical installed for an emergency pick up the next day and they pulled it off in a few hours. It was last minute and I had to run the hitch over so they could get it on in time before closing and they even stayed a little late completing for me. They were so sweet and put in a lot of hard work with little to no notice. So appreciative.”
