“As first-time parents, choosing a daycare felt like one of the biggest decisions we’ve ever made, and enrolling our son at Primrose Center City was the best choice we could have made.

He started in the infants classroom, and from day one the teachers, administrators, and even the owner (who is incredibly hands-on, present almost every day, and somehow knows every child and parent by name!) made the transition completely seamless. As new parents, that level of care and attention meant everything to us. We truly never worry during the day because we know he is safe, supported, and so loved.

As a dual-career household, having that trust also gives us the mental space to stay focused at work during the day, which is invaluable. The school’s hours are incredibly helpful for working parents, and the fact that they provide meals and snacks removes so much of the daily mental and physical load of planning and prepping food. They even offer quarterly Parents’ Night Out events, which gives my husband and me a built-in date night (even if that sometimes just means takeout and catching up on chores at home!).

Now that he’s moved into the young toddler classroom, we’ve been just as impressed. The transition was thoughtfully handled over time. They gradually introduced him to his new teachers, classroom, and schedule, which made the change feel easy and natural for him (and for us!). It’s been amazing to see how much he’s grown there already. His independence has blossomed, and his communication skills (especially using sign language) have developed so much thanks to the intentional support from his teachers.

We recommend Primrose wholeheartedly to any parent looking for a nurturing, structured, and loving environment for their child. Honestly, even if we move to the suburbs someday, we would absolutely drive in just to keep him here. And if we have another child, there’s no question that they’ll be enrolled at Primrose too.”

Not only do they have a dietary program that is filled with nutritious, culturally diverse foods, but the teachers there are like handing your child off to a second family. “I was so worried about putting my 6 month-old son in daycare. I toured multiple spots in the area and we ended up selecting Olde City Day School based on affordability and proximity to my husband’s office. We are so happy we did. Our son has now been at OCDS for 8 months, and in that time we have had only positive experiences. He never cries at drop-off, he smiles and claps when he sees his teachers, and as parents I’ve loved every interaction I’ve had with the staff. I actually began listing individual people from OCDS that we love for this review, and then I realized that I was listing everyone. Gloria and all of the teachers are wonderful and treat our son like family, and the rest of our family too. They’re flexible with schedules and life in general, and I look forward to picking him up and chatting with the teachers each day. They have a camera available if you want to check-in throughout the day, and the photos and updates they send of his adventures in school through their app are wonderful. My son is just over a year now, but even as a tiny infant he had music class, drawing, painting, a Valentine’s exchange, water play, an Easter Egg Hunt, and last week they even had a yoga instructor come in to interact with the kids. The photos of all of it are so cute and I can’t express how happy we are with our decision to enroll him in OCDS. I am posting this review because when we were looking for a daycare option, our only hesitation with OCDS were some ancient reviews that weren’t super positive. Here’s a current review of this special place in hopes that other families will find OCDS and enroll their kids confidently, knowing that they will be safe and happy. We love OCDS.”

“I usually don’t do long reviews but here we go: When I tell yall I LOVE & AM BEYOND THANKFUL for COPSA!!! After touring other daycare providers with my 2 toddlers they did not bond nor show any interest and comfort with other schools (I don’t just out my kids anywhere). I happened to stumble on this daycare upon my extensive search and spoke with Ms. KayKay first who was very informative and welcoming. On the day of the interview and meeting, my 2 kids bonded instantly with Ms. KayKay. Then they met Mrs. Angie (owner/director) who immediately began to learn and embrace my kids. My daughter just turned 1 and was placed with Ms. Hope and when I say she is a BLESSING from above I mean that. My son was placed with Ms. Nellie who embraced him with tough love but gave him what he needed. As time went on he had 2 other teachers who all LOVED on him and made him feel comfortable. My daughter is now 2 and has the most attached bond with Ms. Hope and Ms. Kaykay. This daycare gets to know your children, pray for your children, encourage and uplift them in ways that other educational institutions don’t provide. My kids literally come home learning new words almost daily and is fluent with the Spanish Alphabet and learning ASL as well. They also learn through STEM and real life play experience. There is now as second location and the atmosphere is of a children’s play museum while implementing indoor physical activities for kids, math, science and English. The levels of learning are continuing to climb as months go on. For many personal and educational purposes I am BEYOND thankful for the team and Mrs. Angie at COPSA! Also, Mrs. Angie’s husband/co-owner Mr. Tiger is amazing with my kids. They light up like Christmas lights when they see Mr. Tiger. Now and days that is hard to find in a black man who is a leader and is an excellent role model for the black kids there. His patience is unmatched. I can literally drop my kids off and not have a worry about what’s happening especially when I get daily communication and pictures through their app during the day. Very thankful”

“The learning train academy has been the greatest daycare for our son since he was 3 months old (now 2). The love and affection they show each child is unmatched. The owner and all of the staff are super supportive of each child and their own individual learning needs! My son walks in each morning and runs to his instructors with hugs! Having him start his early education there was the best decision! And we can’t wait to send number two there in a few months!”
