“The Best Meats! I live on Long Island, NY and am so glad I found Haltemann’s at the Reading Terminal Market. When I visited my nephew in Philadelphia.My sister and I would buy all our meats to take back home. And by the way it’s was for at least 3-4 months worth. When my nephew moved from Philadelphia, I was so upset but found out I can order online! Yessss! All their meat is high quality, tender and flavorful! I miss the butcher and girls at Reading Terminal Market so a big shout out to them! But I still get the best meat I’ve had in decades online! Also, my family and friends buy from them now too!”
“I ate a meatball hoagie from here in like 2011 that I still think about. I have never before or since found one that slapped that hard - could not believe those out-of-the-warming-pot meatballs and fresh sliced prov could make that magic but it did.Also tried my friend’s sandwich which was the Italian (as advertised, a true classic - hard to find them like that anywhere but the old delis now) but I was so lost in the sauce of the meatballs that it didn’t matter.Also, the guy behind the counter? So helpful, so kind, so clearly proud of the place and the product.”

Visited this place a year or so ago with my partner’s family and again last week and it was still just as good… so much freshly cut meat, thinly sliced salad, oil, mayo and the bread just tops it off! Can’t get enough, wish they were in the UK!

“Was going to another butcher in Vineland but had a bad experience there so decided to try Trim Rite. Well, that was two months ago and we've been going back every other week. The staff is great and the prices are too.They have a nice selection of meat packages and will substitute if you ask them and it's reasonable. This place is old school with a modern flair. I highly recommend buying meat here instead of the supermarket.”

“So the other day, I found myself in a totally innocuous conversation, with just some dude I run into every Sunday, and interact for approx 1.5 mins..conversation was about how difficult it is to find turkey legs and thigh bones this time of year (I know, kinda weird conversation to have, don't judge), other than what you get on a whole turkey, which tend to be on the smaller size, turns out to be the owner of Giunta Butcher shop in Reading Terminal Market, and he has these delivered to my house...just like Oprah kinda used to say " you get to have a turkey roulade, everybody gets to have turkey roulade this year"...these things are massive, and the price, what some people look for in reviews, insanely reasonable, couldn't be more happier!!”

“First time at this store and my review of the breakfast sausage is a 5 out of 5. I got 2 pounds of the pork and 2 pounds of the beef breakfast sausage. I got home from work and had to try a few. My 12 year old son who is a picky eater loved both versions. I also got 3 pounds of the slab bacon/pork belly. Just from the appearance I am very happy and can’t wait to try it tomorrow for breakfast. I will follow up with that review tomorrow.”
“During sightseeing Reading market, I saw someone ordering like a regular would do. Then my instinct told me that it’s been frequented by locals. I took my chances and got Kielbasa, breakfast sausages, and took this regular guy’s recommendation for provolone Italian sausages. I cooked them home, and they tasted like dream! Next time in Philly, I’ll go back.”

“Was finally in the area and went for "the fungool" sandwich that I heard so much about. However, was told that they no longer make it and only had cold items. Ended up getting a cold roast beef hoagie. I was disappointed that they didn't have what we had originally wanted. However, the bread and roast beef were great, which made up for it.”
