Absolutely appalled by the terrible service of this company. We needed a vent replaced in our attic’s HVAC unit so we contacted A1 based on the google reviews and have had the absolute worst experience.
The person who came was in an unmarked truck and no clothing indicating he was with A1. He assessed the job, and then I had him look at our fireplace that is inoperable to see if that was something they could inspect to make it useable. He quoted me $1,200 to fix the vent, and said he would bring back cameras and other equipment to inspect the fireplace.
They then would not get us on the schedule until we made a deposit for the service, and then couldn’t get an appointment for over a week, the earliest being Thanksgiving between 8-11am. They then called and said they couldn’t make that window and it would be closer to 11:30am. They didn’t show up until noon, and the original ”inspector” came back with his buddy that lived down the street, and the did the repairs in 15 minutes. He then completely forgot we had a conversation about the fireplace inspection, and said he would come back with the right equipment and would call back to get us on the schedule for free.
Our HVAC company then came back to finish the maintenance on the unit and said that none of the work was done to code, it was taped together vs needing to be screwed in, they used the wrong gauges, and if we used it as is it would be incredibly unsafe. They said what we paid for vs. what we got was completely off. We called A1 back to speak with someone and have them rectify the work the next afternoon and never heard back. We called again Monday morning and still never heard back from anyone. I’m absolutely furious at the lack the accountability and indecency to contact your customer who is STILL WITHOUT HEAT IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER and every day you don’t respond to us we’re freezing. Do not ever work with this company they’re an absolute scam.

A1 Chimney is the worse. I hired this company to perform an inspection of my fireplace before using for the season. They sent Technician who spent 20 minutes in my home with a golf club like instrument with a brush at the end stuck it in fire place and told me that's it. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Completely unprofessional. Do not do business with them!!!!!!!!!!!
This business has absolutely no respect for prospective customers! Her are the facts... I reached out because of their online reviews and scheduled a Level 2 inspection for Monday, 11/17, between 12–3 PM. Fifteen minutes before the appointment window, I received a call saying it needed to be rescheduled. When I contacted dispatch, they offered a free consultation instead of the original ~$160 fee, so we rescheduled for Friday, 11/21, from 3–5 PM.
Then I received a text today 11/21 from someone named “Dean” stating they were unable to make an 8–11 AM appointment… an appointment that I never booked. Confused, I called dispatch again, and they confirmed my 3–5 PM appointment three different times. I am attaching the call log to show my follow ups with them.
This company showed zero commitment to customer care. Despite telling me they were open until 5 PM, they closed early and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone.
I had to take time off from work twice to accommodate their scheduling, and they still failed to show up or communicate properly. It goes without saying: I would not recommend this company to anyone. Completely unprofessional. Do not do business with them!

Amazing experience with A1 Chimney. The staff was friendly and patient, answering all my questions. The work was clean and detailed. I truly appreciated their honesty and overall professionalism. Great company!

We had our chimney flashing repaired through A1 chimney. It was an amateur job with free hand painting sealant around our old metal flashing. We were refunded our payment for the job not being done to “company standards” but the company never offered to fix it. Now we are stuck with black tar covering our chimney bricks and have to pay another company to sand blast the poorly done job and do it properly. Very disappointed and would not use this company again. Believe the 1 star reviews because they are true. Find another company..

I was so impressed with how professional this team was. They arrived promptly for a chimney inspection and offered a very fair quote for a full chimney cleaning. They found a damaged chimney liner, which they replaced, and they also installed a durable chimney cap. The flue was cleaned of all creosote buildup, and the chimney sweep walked me through the entire process. The fireplace now works perfectly. You can tell they genuinely care about customer satisfaction and safety. This will be my go-to chimney service moving forward!
