Wish I went with Lowes but, instead made the mistake of wanting to support a smaller business. The quality of the rug we had installed and the padding is the worst possible quality for the high price we paid. The quality carpet I would have had, had I went with Lowes would have lasted a lifetime. I’ll be lucky if this rug holds up 5yrs (that’s being generous) The carpet was installed terribly and there are multiple visible lines in the carpet that have not gone away in months after having it installed. The installer even said the carpet was cut wrong initially. The owner was very rude when communicating. Overall regret even changing the original carpet because the old carpet was premium quality, now I’m stuck with carpet that feels like walking on a hardwood floor. Lesson learned and won’t ever go here or recommended anyone to purchase a carpet from here unless they want poor quality and rude customer service.

Very unprofessional company in every aspect. Person laying out the carpet does not communicate with his installers on how it’s laid out. I had to send home the initial installer because he said it was all wrong. There are lines or seams noticeable everywhere. We paid for ‘premium’ padding and got the thinnest cheapest padding ever. It feels like you’re walking on the wood. Owner is arrogant and does not have any customer service skills. Do not use.

Not sure about other people’s experiences, but we’ve been in town for over 30 years, and Carpet Exchange has been in town since the 70s. It’s a family owned business, and my experience was nothing but amazing.I went in on a random Saturday to see what they had in stock. I have 2 bedrooms that needed new carpet/rug, and I originally went in with the intention of just getting a carpet scrap converted to a rug. Ms. Sandra was amazing. She helped explain the process, and walked me through their extensive inventory on site. She also helped provide some expert advice to ensure the color/feel of the carpet was what I was looking for and worked for the wall color. I know nothing about warm and cool tones, but she helped me get to a perfect shade. Price was perfectly within market standard.She did inform me that I’ll need to speak with her son on the option of rug binding vs carpet installation. Her son CJ called me Tuesday first thing, and was actually able to share the pros and cons of both, and wasn’t pushy about the more costly option. He actually was able to have his crew come same day to install. ?As for his crew, they were professional and were mindful to take their shoes off before entering the house. They were in and out in under 2 hours for 1 room.I just went back today to select carpeting for the 2nd room, and to my luck Ms. Sandra was there. She again took her time to find me the best option of color/feel for the carpet. She is so down to earth, and a genuine lady. They’ve been in town for a very long time.Honestly not sure about other people’s experiences, but my experience with the family has been nothing but top notch. I won’t go anywhere else now for my carpeting needs. Support local, support small business. You really get that “family” touch.

I don't know about last review but I have used carpet exchange personally and professionally for the last 25 yrs as a decorator and they have gone above and beyond and always been extremely satisfied with their family run business , I highly recommend them to anyone looking for instock in their warehouse and special orders !! They're the best!!

For the carpet, it looks great after I vacuumed. That said, working with these people is a costly endeavor! We had to talk to the wife, the son and the father multiple times about each detail. An example: I say texting me is best and they tell me they do t like text. So there are calls- son calls then the mother calls to follow up. Exhausting!!!Here’s the kicker: the carpenters installers show up with no vacuum. They do not put down drop clothes for the parts they walk through so debris is everywhere. When I ask- he tells me the vacuum is broken and basically that he doesn’t do clean up. I am livid and let Sandra know. She interrupts me to apologize. When I say I see options: she gets another crew to clean or I do it, she repeatedly tells me she can have the guy who doesn’t want to clean up, try and clean up. So hours later, I am cleaning up and annoyed.

Absolutely the worse experience ever !! I felt rushed when picking up what I liked with totally unnecessary comments from the older guy ( not helping but making comments that a customer would never expect to hear from a salesman who wants to sell) I felt so uncomfortable already and the only thing that I wanted was not to buy there but leave the store.

Worst experiences ever. This company is the worst resident in town with the worst attitude. The guy and his wife that own it are elderly and have zero care for the township their company resides in. The son talks and threatens people in the neighborhood behind him like a mobster. I've seen staff go into the woods with machetes to chop trees with zero permits or care that they are clogging the drainage on their property. I can't wait for this business to dry up and be gone. Scummy people running it.

Worst customer service. Lies lies lies. Do not shop here!!! Installed remnant pieces in my home. Promised delivery and installation in two weeks and then couldn’t find part of my order then said they did not want to do business with me anymore! Go anywhere but here.

Worst customer service ever don’t ever buy anything from this place ,How is it possible to buy a carpet and bring it home and see how it looks it’s one thing to see a difference in the store and then bring it home don’t ever go here this lady is crazy
