“What a fantastic move I had thanks to the guys at Strongmile Movers!! Joe, the owner, sent a three-man team to help with my move from one apartment to another a few streets over in Highland Park… and he could not have sent three harder-working men for the job! Casper, Devin, and David showed up with GREAT attitudes and immediately set me at ease with their friendliness and professionalism. As a single woman trying to move a 2 bedroom apartment by herself, I needed all the help I could get, and I felt like I was in great hands with these three! The guys made sure I was comfortable and relaxed during the move (they literally set up a chair in the shade and requested that I sit and take a load off!! I didn’t lift a finger!) while they did all the heavy lifting. They went the extra mile at every opportunity: they wrapped my couch, TV, and other fragile items with care before loading, and patiently conferred with me at the new apartment to figure out the best furniture layout for each room. Joe even stopped by personally to chat with me and check in to make sure the move was starting off smoothly, which was an extra boost of confidence that I was in good hands. I could say so much more about how this team made my move the easiest I’ve ever had in over a decade renting and relocating, but suffice to say you get EXACTLY what you pay for when you hire Strongmile: peace of mind, quality customer service, and fantastic work ethic. I will be recommending Strongmile to everyone I know in the area!!”

“I reserved a truck at the South Plainfield location, and Jason, who assisted me, was so pleasant and extremely accommodating. It was a busy day for him there. I waited for him to assist a couple of other clients who were before me. As courtesy for waiting, he applied an additional 25% discount on the rental. Not for nothing, after comparing prices of rentals with other competitors, Penske seemed to be the one who offered a deal. I highly recommend Penske. Jason was attentive and sweet.”
“Friendly, informative reps at the store i rented it from in Newport news VA. Also, reps on the phone calls I made responding to couple texts from uhaul office also great customer service. Great added offers. I felt much better talking to all I spoke to regarding the rental. I was nervous about truck breaking down or such on the one way from Newport News VA to Plainfield NJ, they all made me feel better and not worry. I was so relieved that the one way 10' rental was a newer model and low mileage. Truck was enough for what I needed to move. Thanks so much”

“Extremely happy with the car (really nice Nissan Altima), the staff (very friendly, courteous, accommodating, and I'm sorry I forgot your name), the location (walking distance from just about anywhere in Metuchen) and the rates (very reasonable), and I'd definitely recommend!
Just a couple of very minor caveats, nothing that would cost them a star:
1. Online reservation process is a little quirky. Pickup time had to be 10 AM or earlier, otherwise nothing was available. There was no problem with me picking up the car later than 10 when I asked, though.
2. You MUST have your own auto insurance with collision coverage, regardless of whether or not you select CDW.

“This location is very convenient to where I live and offered the exact equipment I needed to rent. Our van was clean, there was even one blanket inside for us to use and the dolly we rented was heavy-duty and in perfect condition. The person who attended us was very nice and we would rent from this location again in the future.”
“I have to say, this is a business place, not a drama factory like the other company. In the las couople of months I have had to rent a vehicle a couple of times, both were a disaster with the other company, making a reservation, getting there and ending up walking back to my place. At Avis, not even five minutes after arriving I am on the road with my rental, it says something.”

The customer service I received from the two young ladies that helped me was great. They were both pleasant and professional. I would come back to rent from this location, but I do suggest bringing on staff that concentrates on cleaning and sanitizing the trucks before renting then out to the next customer.”

“This location is a Budget/Avis rental location. They do truck, van and car rentals. Staff here are helpful and knowledgeable. Most rentals these days are done online so usually you’re just coming in to pick up the vehicle and sign some paperwork. Make sure to check double check hours of operation online to ensure this location is open. We’ve rented multiple vehicles from this location and never had any issues, well except for their electric class vehicle (Volvo polestar) is really just not up to par as other electric models such as Tesla or Ford models even. Worth a trip but save time at the counter by booking online first!!!”
