“Had a lovely appointment with Alyson. As a mother of the groom, I went with the mother of the bride for a double appointment. Alyson was great--she listened to our preferences, pulled lots of options, and helped us try on many dresses. Can't wait for the dresses we chose to arrive!”

“Everyone at sew elegant was so kind! The only reason I’m removing a star is because of the price. I initially was quoted $1100 for taking in the waist ($500) and the hem ($600) for one dress, and another $600 for hemming a second dress. I decided I did not want to get any hemming done on both dresses, and just wanted my waist taken in for one dress. Suddenly, the price jumped from $500 to $750 since I was just getting the waist taken in. I asked for a cash discount and ended up paying $700 in cash to get just the waist taken in (not including the hem) for one dress - which was much pricier than expected. I’m thinking that it’s just NYC pricing and maybe I should have done more research beforehand. Just something to note for brides planning on visiting this tailor. Everyone is so kind and professional though. Also love how the dress turned out! Cannot wait for my big day :)”

From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. “Belfiore was the one and only bridal dress shop I went to. I love that when you schedule an appointment, the whole boutique is private to just you + your guests. The shop is adorable, and Angela could not be any nicer! She really made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. I did not plan on buying a dress that day, but Angela helped me find the dress that I ended up buying. After trying on several dresses, she helped me eliminate what I did not want. She knew what would look flattering on me, was very honest, and helped pick out a dress that I normally wouldn’t have picked out. I was obsessed with my dress from the moment I tried it on! “My experience at this bridal shop can only be described as magical, and Jamie, my stylist, truly felt like my fairy godmother. I had expected wedding dress shopping to be a long and stressful process, but they made it wonderfully easy. Jamie was incredibly patient. When I narrowed my options down to two dresses, she encouraged me to alternate between them multiple times to ensure I felt confident in my decision. The other ladies in the store also chimed in with their professional and supportive opinions, which I appreciated immensely.
After I tried on numerous dresses in a particular style, Jamie pulled out a dress completely out of left field as a palette cleanser. The speed at which I fell in love with her choice was shocking—she knew what I would adore, even before I did. Jamie’s expertise was evident—she had even designed one of my friend’s favorite dresses!

“I had the best experience here! The moment I met Hae Kyung, I knew right away, she was the person I wanted to work with.

She took care of hair & make up for myself, the groom, my aunt, six bridesmaids, and last minute my sister in law too! (10 people!). She was very understanding and patient with my indecisiveness. I ended up renting two dresses and accessories from her. She even tailored my 3rd dress, my aunt's dress, and bridesmaids' dresses as well. We also did the pae baek ceremony. Everything was so easy with them. She was so detail oriented and gave such good advice on everything! ?

I remember on the day of my wedding, I had to direct the photographers, the dj, my bridal assistant who was nowhere to be found for half the day, etc... but Hae Kyung was the one person I could rely on. And she worked well with the venue staff as well, to figure out the sound and set up for the pae baek ceremony. I did not have to do anything.

She and one of her staff traveled over 2 hours, all the way from palisades park, to somerset, NJ, in the middle of the freezing winter! My bridesmaids and I were running late because the roads were flooded, so I really appreciated her for arriving early and waiting for us. I will never forget her kindness and professionalism on this day. ?

“When I began my wedding dress search, I knew I wanted a calm, stress-free experience. The first place I went dress shopping was at Rana’s, and it could not have been a more perfect experience. She truly has such a calming, peaceful demeanor, that translates into her boutique. It was so special to be the only guests in the shop, which made the experience so personal. She started us off by allowing me to pick my own dresses to try on (not many stores allow this!). After silently watching me try on a few dresses, she gently asked if she could pick out one for me to try on. And wow, did she know what she was doing!! The dress she chose for me was beyond perfect and suited me like no other. It was amazing because it was not a style I had ever imagined for myself. She had such wisdom and knowledge. Her tailoring skills are incredible. The dress I purchased was a few sizes too big for me, and she was able to tailor the dress without losing any of its features. It fit me perfectly. I got married in England, and was worried about the logistics of my fitting and transporting the dress. Rana was so flexible in scheduling my fittings and was so detail oriented during the process. She did the most incredible job and I left each appointment feeling more and more excited. When I picked up my dress, she even packed my dress in my suitcase so the dress would be perfectly secure during my travels (and it was!). Every moment of this experience at Rana’s was such a delight, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing in my experience. She is so calm, kind, understanding, and truly listens to you.
