Great place to get your old furniture stripped. This vendor is reasonable but does not do finishing work i.e. painting and staining. Just paint removal.

I cannot recommend the work of this place enough! We needed to have our kitchen set stripped down to the original wood before we had it refinished by Monika of Furniture Rehab Studio . Monika recommended Dip n' Strip to do do the furniture stripping and we were so happy with the results. The kitchen set looked like it came right out of the factory. Thank you Jim, you did a great job!

They did the work on time and on budget. The product i gave them were extremely old work 150 years work of paint on them, and they got them stripped.

I've been going to these guys since the early 90s and I've done everything from chairs to doors. Prices are reasonable and the quality is top-notch reducing the need for excessive sanding; when they're done light sanding only required. I will keep driving 2 hours to North Jersey from the Catskills because they're the best in the business.

Our house was built in 1930, and we had three doors that had been painted over, which we wanted to recover. I emailed photos to Dip 'n Strip, got a quote, brought them in, and they did a great job, the doors look beautiful (with glass panels and metal hardware). Very satisfied.

My husband was working on a 150+ yr old house with 30 beautiful original corbels that had layers of peeling paint, even the decorative indents and carvings were completely painted over. The clients were sad that the corbels had to be thrown in the dumpster because there was nothing like them anywhere to replace them. On a whim, my husband took them out of the dumpster and had me drop them off to Jim and WOW! They were down to the original bare wood. We had them repainted and they turned out beautiful. Simple process (for us), quickly done and no BS. You bring your item in, he gives you a price and calls you when ready (which was faster than I expected with all the work they needed). Will be using them again for sure.

Over the years from when Mike in the early 90s stripped a couple of chairs for me to more recently an antique front door and now those same chairs going back for another strip this is the single greatest business I've ever reviewed. Fair prices and a stellar result allowing a final finish by me or some other furniture refinisher to go a whole lot easier then doing a chemical strip yourself. Save your health and drop it off to the team at Dip N' Strip.

I've used this place on and off for 20 years. They have a big vat of acid that strips the paint off anything. Bring in your old doors, woodwork...old metal radiator covers...and decades of paint are just melted away and the wood is undamaged. It's not cheap but ridiculously better than trying to strip paint yourself. Better results too. A unique place, I never found any others in the NY/NJ area that does this.

If you have a door or other item you need stripped to bare wood this is your place. Make an appointment if you have a door you need back ASAP and it works out great.

It's a very straightforward transaction, and the owner doesn't complicate things. Very nice and helpful. You drop off your doors or whatever wood pieces you want stripped, he gives you a quote. You get a phone call a few weeks later to pick up and pay cash or check.I've done a fair amount of paint stripping, chemical, heat guns, infrared. If you can get the pieces that need to be stripped to Dip n Strip, It's absolutely worth it.

Put that heat gun away and take your millwork to Dip 'N strip... you can't go wrong. They handled a large mixed lot of casings, a fireplace mantel, molding and doors for a DIY renovation I'm doing. The mill work has come back clean and looking great. The owner was responsive and answered all my questions. It seems they work more with contractors than the general public but they welcomed my business and did a great job! Just want to note that wood with a more open grain (like oak) comes out a little rougher than wood with tight grain (like maple). The latter barely needed sanding while the oak needed a lot of prep before it was ready for finishing.
