I took my mother for blood work yesterday , and the lady who called us for the order in the system, who was also withdrawing blood, after finish with us in the computer, she was ignoring us, going patient to patients that were just gotten sitting after us, i even had to ask a young lady very (She was polity) to please withdraw blood from my mother, she told us of course, just let me finish with this patient. While she was walking cross the hallway, I saw the other lady that was ignoring us, walked toward her, I could heard her telling the young lady THAT SHE WAS MAKING US WAIT< AND STARTED TO LAUGHT. (she did not see me when i get close to the wall)How could she? I said nothing, yesterday because I need the blood work done, and had not other time for my tide schedule, my mom did not feel well that day, she felt tired, dizzy, and weak, when we got home her sugar was low, (she is also diabetic) Imagine everything that could go wrong just because of that waiting for no reason, this is a must of blood work to be done for my mother, for her kidney failure. Where is the empathy, the humanity, THE PROFESSIONALISM? Everything because I asked in the front desk why a lady that got there after me was been called before us, they explained why and i accepted and wait., but i guess they did not.

Made an appt for 1:15 and checked in and waited in the car like the instructions said. After an hour of no text I went in to find out they don’t have my appointment and my name isn’t on the list. Despite giving confirmation number. The processed to make me wait with all the walkins for a whole other hour.

I went to Labcorp at this Hackensack location on Pleasantview Ave on Friday, Nov 8, 2024, to get blood drawn and the tech went too far with the needle and hit a nerve. I immediately had shooting pain, like pins and needles, going from around my elbow down to my fingertips. I immediately and involuntarily jumped from the pain as this has never happened to me before even though I've had blood drawn countless times over the years. I am 49 years of age.
The tech looked very young, like he could have been in high school. I didn't think to ask for a supervisor at the time because I wasn't even aware that this could happen. I have been living with shooting pain since then and now I'm getting scared.
I tried calling the Labcorp Hackensack phone number, and there is no way to get to a human to speak with. Even if you choose that you are a physician or health care provider, no matter what you choose in the phone menu, it leads to nowhere, back to the main menu, or promptly hangs up on you. My frustration is through the roof.
BE VERY CAREFUL going here and make sure to let them know to go slow. The needle the tech used was WAY too big for my giant vein that was clearly visible and easy to draw blood from. Next time, I would let them know to only push the needle in a fraction of the length that I saw stick me with. I'm concerned about the tech's level of experience. I can only hope my pain subsides and now I have to see my doctor to make sure this can be resolved.

This establishment is a joke. I have been waiting over 30 minutes for MEDICAL LAB WORK due to having severe illnesses and those who came after me got seen before me because they had a “drug test”. Imagine prioritizing drug tests over someone’s medically necessary lab tests requested by a physician. On top of the negligent service, the front desk is rude and unhelpful. I am disgusted by this location.

I went to the facility for a routine blood test, and although I've never had issues with blood draws before, this time was different. The technician instructed me to keep my fist clenched tightly while he drew 5 to 6 tubes of blood. When I asked if I could relax my fist, he told me to keep it tight, and then later allowed me to briefly release and tighten it again.
I've never experienced this before, and as a result, I’ve had pain and noticeable swelling in my left arm for two days, particularly around the area where the blood was drawn. While the technician was courteous, I felt he might have been rushing the procedure due to a busy schedule, which could have contributed to my discomfort.
In previous visits, I’ve always had good experiences with the staff, but it seems there might be new personnel. After researching and consulting with other medical professionals, I learned that keeping the fist clenched tightly can stress the vein and potentially cause harm, such as hematoma or even blood clots.
I always stay well-hydrated, and my blood draws have consistently gone smoothly in the past. I suggest reviewing the procedure to ensure that such practices are avoided in the future. Once the needle is in, the blood flows easily without the need for a tight fist. I visited on a Tuesday, and my arm is still sore and swollen by Thursday. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This LabCorp should put a US Flag in the window to signal that a certain demographic is not welcome. They will ignore you, degrade you, stick you aggressively as if you are not a human being with feelings. I have tier one insurance and they treated me as if I were an unhoused person off the street. Phlebotomy is stressful and to treated badly by a healthcare worker makes the experience traumatic and devastating. I do not wish that experience on anyone.

Worst services . We came for a blood test and came to drop off urine sample the next day . The sample got all the labels and patient information on it . They told us to do a check in again !!!! Then we waited for 45 minutes for a drop off !!!!!!! I don’t know how there system work , but it’s very obsolete !!! . They took the insurance information again !!!!! lol it’s was mentioned in the doctors perception to have blood and urine test , and lab had the info entered in the system . Why they do the same thing again . THEY need smart and educated people to build a better system !!!! Go somewhere else who have better system
