Steph's Macarons
150 Main St, HackensackStephanie has the most delicious macarons ever. They are always consistently amazing and every flavor we have tried is really good. My favorite is the cookies & cream and my husband really likes the cinnamon toast crunch ones. The designs she does are very cute. I highly recommend you order from her. Although be warned once you eat her macarons you will never be able to enjoy from anywhere else.

PHUHROO @Hackensack | Vietnamese restaurant, pho, Korean fusion restaurant, Asian foods
116 Anderson St, Hackensack5/5 Stars
If you’re looking for fantastic pho in Hackensack, this is it. The food tasted great, and while the presentation isn't fancy, it’s neat and appetizing. The restaurant itself is compact but cozy, with enough seating to comfortable enjoy your meal. The absolute highlight was the service—incredibly amazing and very, very friendly. It's the kind of welcoming local spot you wish you saw on every corner. Definite 5 stars!

Tavern 61
61 River St, HackensackWe recently moved to Hackensack and decided to give Traven 61 a try, and we're so glad we did! From our very first visit, the entire staff made us feel welcome. The owner is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about the customers.
A special shoutout to the amazing bartenders—Daniela, Karen, and Rosemary. They are always welcoming, attentive, and make every visit enjoyable. Their great service keeps us coming back!

Villa de Colombia
12 Mercer St, HackensackI go here regularly for the delicious, high quality food and efficient service. The ambiance is OK, but it's often colder than I'd like. While the food may come out hot, it cools off quickly because of the lower temperature, but I make do. If you're in Hackensack looking for good food at reasonable prices, Villa de Colombia is worth a visit.

Cubbys BBQ
249 S River St, HackensackI moved out of NJ 13 years ago. I make it back once a year for a short visit with family. When I have the time, there's only one restaurant I MUST hit- Cubby's BBQ in Hackensack. Best ribs ever! My absolute favorite, however, is the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich with mozzarella cheese and jalapeños. Heaven!

Pawsitively Furever Dog Rescue
40 Burlews Ct Building 4, HackensackI reached out to this rescue during one of the hardest moments my wife and I have ever faced—trying to responsibly rehome our senior dog because we can no longer afford mounting medical bills. Instead of compassion or guidance, we were met with judgment and shame.
One of the representatives told us, “You wouldn’t give up your children.” That comment was not only inappropriate, but deeply hurtful. This person does not know us, our circumstances, or the years of love, care, time, and money we have given our dog. Comparing a family’s financial hardship and a medical reality to abandoning a child is cruel and unprofessional.
People reach out to rescues because they are struggling and want to do the right thing for their animal—not to be shamed when they are already emotionally wrecked. If this is how this organization treats families in crisis, I would strongly caution others before seeking help here.
Compassion should be the foundation of rescue work. Unfortunately, we did not experience that here.
