Went to the deli 10:30 am the older Caucasian lady was very racist! She was making offensive remarks to another Caucasian customer and they thought it was funny but it’s ok I will never shop there again!!

It's been 22 years since I shopped at the Stop n Shop. They had what we wanted and what we needed, but the ONLY issue i have is the NO BAG... I know live in California, and whatever happens here happens in NJ and NY, respectively, in most regards. Come on. Bags, bags, bags

Stop & Shop is probably struggling, and this store is the perfect portrait of the decline. Dark, damp, messy... the handful of staff they still have are overworked and unfriendly. Only come here if you must.

Went there this week and the checkout lines were incredibly long with only 2 checkouts opened out of 10. 20 minutes on line just to get a dozen eggs and a pack of bacon. Terrible!

I traveled from Wood Ridge to the Stop & Shop in Hackensack, as the location closer to my home is unfortunately going out of business. It's disappointing to see the stark difference in employee performance between locations. The staff at the Hackensack store seemed to have no sense of urgency and appeared indifferent to paying customers.
Even at the customer service desk, I had to wait for Donna, the associate, to acknowledge me. When she finally did, she referred me to the person handling the Flashfood pickup. Unfortunately, that experience was just as bad. After waiting for over 10 minutes for an item I had already paid for, I never received it. I watched the employee help other customers, leaving me to feel like my business didn’t matter. I exceeded my waiting time and ultimately left without my purchase.
Thanks to this frustrating experience, I’ve decided I will no longer be shopping at any Stop & Shop location. Customer service is essential, and this visit highlighted a complete lack of care for loyal customers.

My husband and I have been shopping here for years and years and probably are in this store up to 5 times a week. Lately (probably within the last 3 months or so) the quality of the fresh and refrigerated/ frozen foods has gone down hill. Their raw and ready to eat food spoil almost immediately. My last trip I bought a family pack of ground beef went to use it the next day it was Grey returned to the store and they changed it out went home with a pink healthy pack used half and the next day it was grayish brown. Ice cream is frostbitten after opening meaning it was melted and refrozen. Bought firm tomatoes 2 days later mush, cold cuts last 2 days tops. Don't even get me started on my dairy milk which I have resorted to buying in quart because they never make it to the date Now before you say I am not storing properly or my bad refrigeration. Foods from elsewhere are a non issue and I am serv safe certified and work for one of the largest food service companies in the world so I live and breath foods labels dates and time/temp. The store either puts stuff back discarded by customes elsewhere in the store after sitting out of its refrigeration too long or they need a refrigeration overhaul. Either way the store manager needs to look into this.

The sales people are pleasant but the prices at Stop n Shop continue to rise. Walmart & Target are lowering prices to help customers inflation. I will only buy limited products at their stores and will give the bulk of my business to stores who are trying to help their customers not squeeze them dry. They should be ashamed of themselves…
