Do not select this store for Order Pickup! I have been waiting for close to 40 minutes to pickup an order with 3 items. Went inside to see the Order Pickup line wraps around the store. One person behind the desk and one person filling carts to take to the cars outside (though he has now been held up helping crowd control the masses in the store). Horrible experience. Never again!

I am in Target at 8:00 pm experiencing some of the worst customer service ever! There is one check out lane open with clerks milling around chatting with one another. There seem to be no adults or supervision present. Everyone does not want to use self-check out!! I'll probably not come back any time soon.

Stopped in this Target location looking for a specific home scent. The store is very clean, and organized despite undergoing renovation or construction. When I got to the department, I could not find the item. Definitely did not want to go to a Walmart. Asked a store employee for assistance. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and helped me find the item. Check out is self checkout which was great. Very impressed with how easy it was to find what you need, pay, and leave, with out any issues. Very pleasant experience.

The lines are always terrible but that is an accepted given. Today we went to get the kids shoes and jackets. Both sections were like warzones in total disarray. I gave up and abandoned the wife to sort thru the mess. I wandered over to the toy section and it was more of the same. All chaos and disorder. What is up with this location? They had plenty of workers but they were all wandering around like walking dead zombies not really doing anything. Even when we paid and were leaving, 2 Target moops, yakking it up and blocking the egress. Hello! mcfly! get the f out of the walk way you baba ganoosh. Target - Missed by a long shot. Out!

The grocery section of the Hackensack Target is poorly run and, unsurprisingly, always seems rather devoid of shoppers. Today, I decided to give it another chance since I live near it. I started out in the paper goods section. Nothing I wanted had a price, so I didn't buy anything in that section. Moving on, I found somewhat better pricing in other sections, but still had a problem finding prices for some products. The clerks in the grocery department seemed motivated to just rush stock onto shelves. I asked a polite question of one or two, but got mostly rushed, unhelpful and distant answers. The response as to whether there was a price scanner where I could check prices was so vague about it being somewhere else in the Target that I abandoned the idea. I came to assume this department simply has bad management which rides the backs of the employees to quickly shovel merchandise onto shelves to the detriment of all else (which helps explain the missing price stickers). Because it wasn't very busy at the time, I good-naturedly mentioned to the checkout clerk my issue with the lack of pricing. In an attempt to be helpful, he pulled out his smartphone and said one could scan products for prices with the Target app. He scanned one of my items. It didn't work. I said thank you anyway, while thinking to myself that I would never use it since apps on phones are (a) primarily a way for a company to scoop up your data and sell it to others, and (b) another way for hackers to get one's data (Target has had a serious problem with this in the past). Luckily, there are ample grocery stores in the area to shop at with better shelf pricing, better selection, and similar or better pricing -- and the staff is FAR more helpful. (The Shop Rite in Rochelle Park -- just up Passaic St. from Hackensack -- is awesome in terms of selection and pricing...) Btw, I am an average consumer and unconnected to either store mentioned in this review.

PROS: One of the biggest targets in the area this store has everything. A Starbucks, inventory, it's clean, and loads of parking for a stand-alone store. CONS: Most of the workers make it seem like they never want to be there. Whether its the floor people, the customer service reps, or even the cashiers. I don't know if management is hard on them or overworks them, but they have to be nicer. OVERALL: I would still come here despite the employee issue. It's a little out of my way but they do have the best selection

Very unhappy. Called multiple targets to find a game, and was told Hackensack was the only one available. Item was not available for purchase online to pick up, so I was told I could put an item on hold. I called Hackensack Target ,and explained I live about an hour away, but really wanted the game since they only had 3 left, and could not purchase it online. They told me no problem, they had it, and would put It on hold. I gave them my name, and asked if I needed to do anything else they said no. Come today, I go to pickup my item on hold, and no one knows what I am talking about. A bunch of teenagers working, who were extremely unhelpful, and unwilling to help figure out the situation. They told me they do not know, they have not seen the game in a while, and should go look myself on the shelves. Extremely unprofessional, and horrible customer service. Extremely disappointed with Target, will never go through here again.

Can't say I shop at Target often, but I made an online purchase for pickup at this store. Online pickup is being done at the back of the store by the fitting rooms! You stand in line and a store associate walks from the front pickup area to the back of the store where you are to get your pickup information. Then they walk back to the front of the store to get your purchase, then walk to the back again to give you your items! Can't imagine how many steps the workers walk per day! Seems to be a less than efficient system but surprisingly i was out pretty quickly. Kelsey helped me out and she had a great attitude! An okay experience @

It's a huge Target, very neat and clear, always great with inventory. I mostly shop my toddler daughter's baby products and clothiers from here. Plenty of counters/self-check out lanes are available, never had to wait for too long. It does get busy sometimes during weekend rush hours. Target offers 5% discount to their Red card members, for both credit and debit card holders, an extra incentive for me to shop here.

Called 10+ times to find info on a product was left on hold with no answer. I arrive at the store several employees in each department. Very frustrating to drive over 45 minutes to just find the item out of stock.

Average Target store in Hackensack. Prices high and selection spotty. We shop here because they're open. Wish shopping would be back to normal! If you can wait a few days then order online.

THE SERVICEI RECIEVED IN THE ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT WAS DISGUSTING!!!! Iwas there earlier today, just after my shift at work as an essential worker in a local hospital. I was there for dishwasher fluid and a surge protector. I looked down the isle where the surge protectors normally were but they werent there. I asked an employee who was very nice and he told me to check by electronics where the tvs were, so I did. When I got there, however, there was an employee (white male slicked back hair a little on the heavier side) in a black shirt that said tech on it, who was overwhelmed by the number of customers there. He asking VERY aggressively where Jamal was and that he was supposed to be "outta here". So I see him with Jamal and ask excuse me, where are the surge protectors (expecting either one of them to respond) and he says back wall. So I said ok thank you sir, he didnt hear me and asked what I said I repeated myself and said thank you again and chuckled. He then got NASTY and said "why are you laughing? I see nothing funny,." I walked over picked up my item and upon leaving he was sitting on a bench inside the store in front of the register I was checking out at. I know what its like to have rough days, especially during these time. I deal with peoples lives and would NEVER treat anyone or speak to anyone in the manner in which he spoke to me. He needs to be given a course in customer care at the bare minimum. Im hoping this wasnt a racial issue, if so he needs to find a new line of work. I used to love that store but cannot see myself going back if he is still there

A quick update, the aisles for some toys and supplies were suffering from low inventory and needed restocking. At the front the Pizza Hut store wasn't staffed for 10 minutes and the soda machine was broken. They need to improve operations here.
