I like how they are open on Sundays, and it's a relatively friendly neighborhood bank. I wish they had a coin counter still but you can still give them rolls

When my wife and I initially opened an account at TD Bank with Marlen Mikhail, we had a pleasant experience, and I formed a positive impression of their service. However, a recent unfortunate incident has completely shattered that perception.Due to a misunderstanding regarding my wife's SSN, which had her name misspelled, our account was frozen, and the bank contacted us, giving us a strict 72-hour window to address the issue. It was a challenging time as we were attempting to correct the mistake with Social Security during the COVID-19 pandemic.Unfortunately, the customer service we encountered took a drastic nosedive. Instead of handling the situation professionally and empathetically, Marlen Mikhail, who was once helpful, became dismissive, unresponsive, and appeared to shift blame onto us for the problem, despite being the person who initially verified the documents and assured us they were in order. It seemed as if she was trying to divert blame to protect herself from criticism by her superiors. Ultimately, we were left with no choice but to close our account with this bank.The striking contrast between the initially positive experience and this disheartening encounter has left me deeply disappointed and unsatisfied with TD Bank's customer service.As a result of this distressing experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend TD Bank Hackensack, especially the services provided by Marlen Mikhail, to others. It is evident that their customer service quality deteriorated significantly when faced with a challenging situation.

I overdrew my small business account overnight. I needed to get $1400 into my account AND call the small business 800 number for an exception so that the check would be paid... and it all needed to be done before 10:30AM. It was about 10:10 when I walked through the doors. The line was long and not moving, so I thought about using the ATM but wasn't sure if a cash ATM deposit would be credited to my account in time. I asked a group of people in the desk area if I should do an ATM deposit or do in person deposit in my situation. I was immediately helped. Kimberly told me it is better to do an in-person deposit. She immediately looked up my account. She started the back-end process while telling me to wait in line. When a teller was taking long to get back behind the counter, she implored her to be quick as time was ticking. I made the deposit. Having done the computer work before I ever finished the deposit, Kimberly was just waiting for the deposit to register so she could hit the button to allow the exception. Feeling grateful and relieved, I wanted to write a positive review for this employee that went above and beyond. I asked and received her business card and tucked it into my pocket.So Kimberly knew the back-end processes well enough to advise me to do a teller deposit instead of an ATM deposit (I am a former computer programmer, so I know how different processes hit the database via different routes/times/systems/procedures). She knew about the exception process and did the work herself instead of making me wade though the phone options, wait for a small biz rep, etc. I figured Kimberly deserves to get customer praise so her boss is aware of her competence and efforts. I finally looked at her card. Kimberly Lupica is a Vice President and the Store Manager in Hackensack. As a small business owner I should have known so competent a person would not need to be praised to her boss, she IS the boss. Thank you, Kimberly!!

I just received my saving account card how does customer care when they order my card at this bank Location? They put one last name on my debit card and another last name on my saving card. Horrible customer service I will go back and speak to the manager. After being waiting there like 30 mins at the location, also wait 10 days to received the card this is what I received. So disappointment.

I called TWO DIFFERENT TD Banks about changing ATLEAST my phone # so I can access my account on the app. I was told that even with an expired ID I could still do it. When I arrived to this TD I was told not only I can’t change any information until the ID is renewed, but that the other TD’s I called shouldn’t have told me that. I genuinely don’t understand how I can’t access my account, but I could still withdraw & deposit money freely, the only convenience of TD is that there are many of them around. The service is INCONVENIENT & MIS-INFORMATIVE.

Customer service lady with white hair was not helpful and was very rude. Could not give me a replacement card and told me to go to a different td bank location. Which I went up the street to another td bank location and they were able to give me a replacement card in 3 minutes.

Great staff. Lilibeth (store supervisor) was extremely helpful. She took the extra mile to make it easier for me to open a business account. Very professional.
