All clerks in this Hackensack office are terrible, they don't know anything about their job I went to change my address, filled the forms, the clerk said that I have to wait between 3 or 4 days to get my mail in the new address. It passed more than a month and I still don't getting my mail. I went back a couple times so the other ones said I should wait or go to talk to my carrier. I can't just go and wait for many hours for him until he shows up. Then another one said I shouldn't go there, I should go to south Hackensack Office to speak to the delivery supervisor. Something there, they said that the sistem whipped off my request so I should do it on line and wait, I asked what else to do then they said just wait and what is terrible in both offices is what they said " even the bosses don't tell us what to do, what ever we do it's just by experience". How can I know if they don't know how to help me. Some ones said "you need a validacion code on your old address", some other said " you need the validation code on your new address" and other one said "not always need it" and what is worse they closed my case because via phone message they suggested that I should talk to my senders and ask to redirected my mail. It's terrible!! I need my mailnow!! They don't care at all about all those issues they are causing me and the USPS should trained there people before they work as a clerks. I feel sorry for us the costumers and I feel angry for all those clerks and for this bureaucracy that causes me many days going back and forth trying to get my mail. Terrible, terrible service ???

One of the mail carriers has decided to dump all of the tenants’ mail into one big carton and just leave it there. Nothing was distributed into anybody’s mailbox. This is highly illegal and unprofessional. The building I’m referring to is on Anderson street, Hackensack.

If you're looking for a guide as how NOT to run a business, look no further than the Post Office in Hackensack, NJ.I needed to send some important papers to a business in Hackensack. I mailed them out from Rockland County, NY at a little before 10:00 AM on Wednesday morning. Since I was using Express one-day mail the fee was $28.75, with delivery guaranteed (or money back) on Thursday. I had also requested that a signature be obtained, which was included in the price. The package was delivered two days later on Friday at a little before 11:00 AM. That means that the 25 mile trip took 49 hours to get delivered. The icing on the cake was that there was a note on the USPS tracking web site that my signature request had been waived. When I contacted the post office I was told that I was not entitled to a refund since a delivery attempt was made at 5 minutes to six on Thursday. I call BS on that; some lazy delivery person was just covering his/her butt. That is further believable since they went to no effort to get a signature. Thanks for nothing, Post Office 07601.

I was happy to have been able to reserve a post office box online before I moved here early in the year. Finalizing my application for a po box in person was easy, without any hassles. When I do need to use desk services at this post office, I arrive shortly after the office opens (admittedly, there has been one time they opened late and I waited, but for no more than 10 minutes), and I've never experienced a long wait. Given the current stifling nature of the post office national administration (i.e., Post Master General) and other policies that do not allow for the best operation of the service as a whole, this post office is doing as best they can, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. I'm most grateful for the professional service I've received so far here. Also, both inner doors are functional now.

The lady attending on the left side is rude. I just ask about my previous shipment and She let me talking alone. Poor service.

I drop off mail to this location every day. Ali & Margie are courteous, helpful and friendly.the outside of the facility is embarrassing for the USPS, garbage, overgrown weeds, containers of rotten food left by the dregs of society on the stairs for 2 sometimes 3 weeks. does this facility not have a maintenance crew?

I was having trouble finding stamps for my wedding invitations and Ali and rest of the staff went above and beyond! They called local offices and had stamps put on hold until I arrived. It was incredibly helpful and truly appreciated.

I had a very professional and courteous transaction today at this Post Office with the Clerk, Ali Melat. This post office could truly improve their customer service if they hired more Clerks with a positive attitude like Ali. He went above and beyond his duties to ensure customer satisfaction. Thank you Ali.

Terrible service and rude people working here. The lady Melat had 6 people waiting on the line before they opened up another register. Then after I waited 20 minutes she walked away to help someone else while she was helping me and told me I’m not as important because I’m not paying $1000 for some priority mail subscription. I cannot make it up. This lady literally told me I’m not as important. She should seriously be fired how rude she was. I NEVER review but this service was EXCEPTIONALLY terrible. Are these our tax dollars at work? I’m not surprised,

Ali, Margie, and Melat are the sweetest most helpful workers here! They always help me with anything I need. I come here often and it’s nice to see a familiar face when I have to ship something! Thank you for making it super easy to ship out anything!
