My battery died on the coldest night we’ve had in a while. Justin S came out in the cold to check out my car with all of his tester equipment. Turns out I needed a new one. He installed it for me in the bitter cold and all the while was a perfect gentleman. Very courteous and kind young man. I want to recognize him and Auto Zone should be aware of the way he went above and beyond to help me out. So grateful for his knowledge and patience.

Came here because of my car's battery. I was under the impression the dealer had installed a new one when I bought it secondhand in 2020, so I'd drive by your store saying, "Oh, yeah, I should probably get one soon," and promptly forget. This evening, my car wouldn't start in my garage. Pushed it out and got it jumped so I could finally take care of that task I'd been putting off. Cooper was behind the counter and promptly got me a new Duralast Gold with way more cold-cranking amps I'll ever need. I sheepishly asked if he could install it, as I don't have tools and, let's face it, the mechanical acuity to do this quickly. Even though it was steadily raining, Cooper cheerfully walked out to my ride, took out the old battery (manufactured in 2018, so it was a good six-year run) and threw in the new one with cheerful aplomb and expertise. Problem solved! Thanks, Cooper, for going above and beyond. Not all heroes wear capes.

I have been coming to the hackettstown store for years and never have I had this great of service. Allison B helped me this time. She was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. I really can’t say enough good stuff about her. Thank you for helping me get all my parts with no errors or frustration!

this autozone employee, cooper s. was very willing to help me with my head light. he identified the problem and saved money by putting it back into the socket. he explained to me that sometimes the bulb will come unplugged and will shake loose apon a bump or rough terrane. thank you cooper s. VERY good service.

Employees here are very helpful. Every time I have some problem with my car, I come here and they help identify the code with their scanner and always help us choose the parts if the problem is easily fixable. Many times I ended up buying the parts and fixing it by myself. They saved me a lot of money. Thank you.

Could not love this AutoZone more. Laura is the best. She spent so much time with me in the Fall helping to change a taillight. It took forever to pop the light off but she was patient and amazing. The same can be said for my experience today when changing out my battery that was leaking acid. The Cedar Knolls location told me they could not take out the battery bc it was considered a swap. Brought it to Hackettstown and Laura was the one to help again. She is absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend this location enough. Thank you!!
