My dog, Dory, has been to different groomers. She has never looked better. She has always been nervous when being groomed. But the VIP service she received was just what she needed. Our search for the perfect groomer for Dory is over! Thanks. We will be back!

They do a great job. We have a golden border collie mix and his hair grows fast and gets matted. They are great with him.

I understand one of the new owners is a Veteran but that doesn't give him the right to abuse/neglect these animals.

Please warn other consumers about this dog grooming establishment. This groomer is negligent in the care and concern for the publics pets. In May of 2023 I took my 2 Golden Retreivers to be groomed. I informed ****, the owner that as soon as the older dog was finished she should call me, which she did. When I arrived to pick up my dog, the other owner, *********************, was blow drying a small dog on a table. He had ear pods in his ears, and instead of looking at the dog he was grooming, he was watching his phone with his head completely turned away from the dog. The small dog inadvertently stepped off the table and was hanging from the oversized collar. The dog wriggled and struggled from this loose restraint and fell to the ground. I screamed and yelled at ***** this entire time, but because he has ear pods in and the loud dryer was on he did not hear me at first. Finally he hear my screaming, turned off the dryer, picked up the small dog, who was shaking, and put it in a crate. He turned to me and said, he is fine He then walk over to the half wall which separated me from him and said calmly, who are you here for? I saidAre you kidding me? After what I just saw, I want both my dogs and I will never return here. At that point the other owner **** came from the back and simply said accidents happen. I explained to her that ***** was watching his phone, not the dog he was grooming, and the dog might be injured since it fell from the table. She just stood there and said, I can see that you are upset, so I will not charge you for the groom on your dog. I said, please give me both my dogs, and I left.

Warning! Do not bring your dog here! We had been using this business for years when Lori owned it. My dogs always loved going to see Lori, and she treated my dogs like her own. The new owners are not to be trusted I will never bring my dogs there again. They called me to go pick up my dog. When I walked in the husband was drying a small dog on a table being held by a collar around its neck. The dog stepped off the table and was being hung by the collar while the man groomer had his head turned away from the dog watching his phone which was propped up. I yelled, but he did not hear me, and then the small dog fell to the ground. I then yelled louder, and he then turned, saw the dog on the ground, picked it up and put it in a crate. He then came over to me like nothing happened. At that point the woman came out and I explained what happened. She simply stated that accidents happen, and she understood why I was upset. If you are being paid to do a job, that is what you should be doing, not watching your phone with no attention being directed at someones beloved pet. I had brought 2 dogs to be groomed, and at that point I just said give me both my dogs. She did not charge me, but I can never trust that they would care for dogs properly.

Don't take your dogs here. They abuse them. One poor dog almost hung himself because the owner was on his phone instead of wstching the dog and left the dog on the drying table and the dog fell off leaving the dog hanging by its collar.

Warning! Do not bring your dog to scrub a dub doggie on Main Street in Hackettstown. We had been using this business for years when Lori owned it. My dogs always loved going to see Lori, and she treated my dogs like her own. The new owners are not to be trusted! I will never bring my dogs there again. They called me to go pick up my dog. When I walked in the husband was drying a small dog on a table being held by a collar around its neck. The dog stepped off the table and was being hung by the collar while the man groomer had his head turned away from the dog watching his phone which was propped up. She simply stated that accidents happen, and that she understood why I was upset. If you are being paid to do a job, that is what you should be doing, not watching your phone with no attention being directed at someones beloved pet. I wonder if they called the owner of that dog and explained what happened. I had brought 2 dogs to be groomed, and at that point I just said give me both my dogs. She did not charge me, but I can never trust that they would care for dogs properly.

Very bad experience. They cut our poodle under his ear, never bothered to tell us, which is inexcusable and one week later, he has a scab on his ear that is almost two inches large. Needless to say, we will not ever return to Scrub a Dub Doggie.
