I bought a dryer from these people. It was delivered quickly but it doesn't work. Doesn't warm up at all.So I called. They said they'd send out people to check the installation. Those people say the dryer, a GE costing $950, is defective. I call again and they say we can get you a new one in another week. So.... No dryer for a month and Home Depot tells me sorry but this is GE's problem while GE tells me it's Home Depot's.Lesson learned. Don't shop at Home Depot and don't buy GE's crappy appliances.

Was looking to sand deck and was told can only use deck sander which hardly worked. Was also not even recommended to use extra weight for it which is supposed to help. And when contacting another rental company they recommended drum sand in which I was told by depot I couldn't use. Terrible customer service and Unknowledgeable

This morning (5/11/23) I had a great experience with Kate and Carmine at the Hackettstown store! They were very helpful with a small purchase and resolved the issue with kindness and patience! They both deserve the recognition and am sure they treat all customers with the same respect!

I ordered a vanity on February 10, 2022. I was told it was being delivered on February 21st. I even got an email the day before stating it would be delivered on that date. Around 3 pm, I still didn't receive it so I called customer service and was told it is in transit and I will receive it today. When I went in with the tracking number it said it was never received. So I sent a text to customer service and they confirmed it was lost. I spent the whole day waiting for this item. And if I never called in the first place I would still be waiting. Very disappointing.

Don't believe what any of the Home Depot Installation sales reps tell you about their windows/doors "Double Lifetime Warranty." It's simply not true. Labor is not covered beyond 1 year! Look at their contract verbiage below. When I inquired about the discrepancy, this was my reply: "My understanding is the line references our lowest warranty that was available on an American Craftsman window which is 1 year and the others would in essence be an upgrade to it. I can assure you having been with Home Depot in the window installations business for over 8 years now they consistently favor on the side of taking care of the customer including any service concerns and issues." It's b******* because the salespeople will be long gone by the time you file a claim. It's what's in the contract that you sign that matters in the eyes of the law; not a marketing brochure or said in an email. Plygem/Simonton's customer service rep, Mikka, told me that they get lots of complaints from unhappy customers when Home Depot does not honor the warranty. Moreover, they told me HD's (underpaid) subcontractor installers make a lot of mistakes. All confirmed by Simonton's supervisor, Lori Hendershot. The 6500 series window itself is warranted for 20 years and prorated afterwards. This is taken from their contract. Workmanship is only for 1 year! 7. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION ON WARRANTIES: (a) Warranty: Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, Home Depot warrants for 1 year from the completion date that all Services shall (i) be performed with good workmanship and (ii) conform to the requirements of the Agreement. During the warranty period and within a reasonable time after receiving notice from You of a warranty claim, Home Depot may, at its sole option (i) correct or replace each Defect, or (ii) remove each Defect and refund the full purchase price thereof to You; provided, however, that all warranties are voided if (1) anyone other than Home Depot or Service Provider performs work upon or otherwise modifies any materials or Services provided under this Agreement, or (2) You fail to pay Home Depot as provided in this Agreement. (b) Limitation on Warranties: THE WARRANTIES PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT ARE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN PARAGRAPH 7A, IN THE WARRANTY SECTION OF THE AGREEMENT, IF ANY, OR IN THE STATE SUPPLEMENT, IF ANY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE MADE OR GIVEN BY HOME DEPOT OR SERVICE PROVIDER, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY FOR FITNESS OF PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR ANY OTHER ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. HOME DEPOT'S EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE VOIDED FOR ANY DEFECT CAUSED BY ABUSE, MISUSE, NEGLECT, ACTS OF GOD, LACK OF PRESCRIBED OR STANDARD MAINTENANCE, OR IMPROPER CARE/CLEANING. ANY MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTIES PROVIDED FOR GOODS, MATERIALS, OR EQUIPMENT WILL BE PASSED THROUGH BY HOME DEPOT TO YOU, AND YOU AGREE TO LOOK SOLELY TO SUCH MANUFACTURER FOR REMEDY OF ANY DEFECT IN SUCH GOODS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT. HOME DEPOT MAY ASSIST YOU WITH WARRANTY CLAIMS AGAINST MANUFACTURERS.

Renting from Home Depot makes more sense than U-Haul. Depending on the distance of course. For 75 minutes you will pay $25 - including all fees. For U-Haul you have to add 0.99¢ per mile and more fees.Rental process is very easy - show your driver's license and proof of insurance and your set. They don't push extra insurance - but it is available.Tip - rent AFTER your purchase is complete and ready to be loaded - process takes about 10 minutes to complete and they count it against the time you're waiting.

This is my third time returning to the store. They told me my account needed to be “renewed” after not being able to make a purchase. Came down with the documentation. A week later. The person behind the counter said they did not have permission to do that. “Come back another day. It will only take a few minutes”. I come back today and they told me I have to do it myself online. She shows me where I need to go online and where I need to input the number. And I said can you just input the numbers now and she said no You have to do it at home. Why would they want me to go so far out of my way when they can do it right there? I’ve been inconvenienced enough already.

Ordered appliances that should have been delivered February 6th now it’s the 18th and yet again another cancellation for delivery and the delivery company they are using is rude and disrespectful on the phone threatening to not deliver them and telling us that we’ll have to pick them up. Says a lot about Home Depot that they partner themselves with people like this. We’re about to just cancel the order if something doesn’t change

Just came back empty-handed again from Hackettstown Home Depot. Went to buy snowblower skids which they, according to their website, had 4 different varieties/brands of and in quantities totaling 50 sets. Guess what? I asked where they were and was led to an end display with a variety of snowblower repair stuff and ONE pair of skid shoes that had a ripped opened package. I asked 3 associates to help. No one could find them. They looked it up on the computer and said "oh, they have no home. They could be anywhere." Wow, the craziest part? This is not the first time this has happened. Whoever the general manager of that store is has a lot of work to do. I'll be going to Lowe's from now on.

Been going to this Home Depot for years. I don't personally believe that masks do anything to prevent Covid, but if the store makes me wear a mask I expect the employees to wear a mask 100% of the time. This specific location has proved to have a minimum of 1 employee per visit ( at least one visit every week since January, it's now October) that I have personally witnessed without their mask on. I had to tell a employee this past Saturday when asked if he could help me to put his mask on since our scumbag governor has mandated it and I'm forced to wear one. The manager needs to be fired ASAP.

Purchased a Samsung fridge online... delivery arrives and the fridge is defective, confirmed by the delivery crew. They take the fridge back and initiate the replacement process. Turns out the fridge is on back order until Aug, I can’t wait that long as my current fridge is leaking. Can I have a refund? No because Home Depot is simply an agent for Samsung and refuses to refund my money until Samsung issues an RDA, which could take 72 hours. It’s now been 2 weeks since I purchased the fridge, I’m still out the $2k I spent on it, and Home Depot is still worth $367 Billion, yet they somehow can’t afford to refund my money and take up the issue with Samsung themselves. Awful service model and Home Depot should be embarrassed at how much they are profiting during a global pandemic while they extort their customers’ money. Shame on you

Interesting question..how can Home Depot improve? Well...first they need to care about customer service which clearly they do not. I placed an order last week for 7 fence panels. Was given a delivery date of today 6/20. Checked order status online this morning and it said the order was on the truck and out for delivery. Went out to run errands, came back 2 hours later and checked the order status online again .and was very cheerfully informed that my order had been ca

Who would have thought that home depot isnt taking simple returns? The excuse was the limitation on the number of people in the store however its Tuesday at 2PM and there is barely anyone here and there isnt a line to go into the store. Not allowing returns due to a limitation of customers in the store is just stupid! I would also add that the customer service person was rude and pointed to an index card that says "no returns" and then just walked away saying nothing further.

I've been to this Home Depot lots of times for around the house needs, but most recently rented a van. For the price of the van for a few hours to move, I saved so much money and was easily able to pick up, drive, and return the van with no extra stress. The staff is always helpful, sometimes the guys can be a little cranky, but most are okay. They have a large selection of house hold needs.
