I always enjoy my visits to Sanook Thai. The food is absolutely wonderful, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. It's a restaurant where you can talk and not noisy like a lot of restaurants. The outdoor patio is lovely in warm months. The back dining room is nice if you have a small group...perhaps up to 10. I definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant.Vegetarian options: Most dishes have the option for tofu as the protein choice

We enjoyed a delicious meal in a lovely setting. We were hosting out of town friends for the weekend and they were very impressed with this restaurant. Our guests asked me to choose different dishes to show them a variety of Thai dishes as I am half Thai and have some knowledge of typical Thai dishes that my family in Thailand or my Thai friends would make. The waitress was very kind and helpful. She showed her attentiveness by checking in with us on a regular basis, clearing plates out of our way and filling up our glasses of water. The outdoor patio was serene and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and were proud to show our guests a wonderful restaurant in a sweet town.

No, just no! This place was so disappointing and there is much better Thai food in the area. It seems like they serve any kind of food because clientele doesn't know better. I sent my food back. A $25 plate of a tiny overcooked salmon with no sear and two steamed broccoli or florets. My husband's plate was lacking so much in flavor. Also who puts tomato quarters in drunken noodles?Like I said they serve anything. I should have known red flag when the place was empty on a Friday night in Haddonfield.

Since this restaurants felt the need to leave an unpleasant response to my wife's review. I'll go ahead and clear things up.This is absolutely not our first time at a Thai place as we have had PLENTY of delicious Thai food around here and in Philadelphia. To call us out as amateurs because she asked for bread is quite tasteless. She didn't even mention bread in her review. What she specifically asked for was roti, which is often served at Thai restaurants. The waiter did not understand her request for ROTI so she simplified it as bread. Is she wrong for asking for roti?No we didn't like our dish but we only spoke about the dishes in our review, which was all truth. Unfortunately you didn't like our review but it speaks VOLUMES about your business to leave any response other than something empathic and making an effort to resolve the issue. Also, we absolutely didn't leave a tip. Why, because we did not feel like we were provided with quality service and did not enjoy our dining experience. We also asked the waiter for his recommendation about about the salmon before ordering it and clearly were unpleased with his recommendation. Ultimately it is up to our discretion if we want to tip. We typically tip 20% or over but unfortunately there were many things about our experience that we didn't find pleasant and decided not to share in our review until now. Why? Because you decided to call us out about bread and a tip. Very unprofessional.I can keep going about the things we didn't like at your restaurant or you can let it go and learn that when a customer isnt pleased you do your best to address the issue for us and customers in the future. We appreciate you removing the one meal off then bill. But quite frankly none of it was good! You're lucky I don't drop a list of 5 better places in the area that people SHOULD go to. Now let it go, have a nice evening.

A little pricey but great food. We generally get takeout and it is always fresh and flavorful. When they say spicy, believe them.

Not bad, but not great either. Prices are reasonable and selection is good. One server for the entire restaurant made service clinical. The red curry was good. Green curry tastes too much like raw galanga. Noodles were good. The fried cabbage was a missed opportunity. Good for vegetarians.

After a four-hour drive from NY to Haddonfield with no lunch, it was time for the drivers to rest and eat. Where to go? We were famished. Good food and easy parking. No not Collingswood but Haddonfield. We decided to try Sanook’s Thai restaurant. My knowledge of Thai cuisine is limited but my dining partner said not to worry. Since it was a quiet, warm Sunday evening, we decided to try the restaurant’s pleasant, outdoor dining room which is located at the rear of the restaurant. As we sipped our wine and perused the menu—I needed full explanations. My Best Beau jumped right in and ordered spring rolls and Chicken Satay for appetizers. For the main course, I ordered the soft-shell crabs with mango; he ordered Chicken Larb and Choo-Chee Scallops. Needless to say, I took some home. As for the food, the larb was a mystery but the other orders were more than satisfactory. Although offered dessert we thought we'd save ourselves for the Gelato shop a few blocks away.

The food was good and arrived in a timely manner. The chicken wraps were just okay (chicken was dry), the cucumber salad was great. I highly recommend both the calamari appetizer and the soft shell crab entree - both were excellent. The crab Thai fried rice was really good, but the crab seemed like an afterthought, and was pretty flavorless. The green tea ice cream was a nice finish to the meal. They also have a lovely back patio, which is pictures, but we didn't use.

I love the food at Sanook. My personal favorite is the Drunken Noodles. Service can be a bit slow so plan some extra time. Their back patio is great on nice nights with great ambience.
