I sent my mom here to open an account for my grandma after another bank told them (and spending over an hour there) that Puerto Rico was a foreign country and they needed special documents that had to be notarized to open an account and deposit money with a check from Puerto Rico. (Newsflash, PR is a US territory) TDBank opened the account quickly and deposited the check with no issues at all. Thank you TD for being a great help and making it so easy for my mom and grandma. “Very pleasant experience here in the middle of the current pandemic. Needed to pull a bunch of money from an IRA into short term liquidation. The staff couldn't have been anymore congenial or helpful. I'll be moving to Livingston shortly and am planning to pull literally everything out of their piss poor TD location and placing it here. Parking won't be as plentiful but it's worth it to have a staff that actually knows what the hell they're doing.”

“I opened my first account at Glen Rock Savings Bank (whose current headquarters are at 175 Rock Road in Glen Rock, NJ) when I was just a boy--some 60 years ago. In six decades with this bank (which has also served my parents, my siblings and their children), I've never had a problem of any sort. (And that's extremely rare in life; the consistently good service that they provide should not be taken for granted.) It's a model of what a bank should be. The people here are unfailingly kind, courteous, professional, and friendly (in a nice, small-town sort of way). They know who I am. They're smart and flexible. And can offer good advice when needed. The bank has grown a bit since I was a boy, with branches in two other towns (Hawthorne and West Orange), but it retains its appealing neighborhood feel, and its independence as a successful local business. (It has not been gobbled up by some larger bank.) I do business with various banks. But this is, by far, my favorite--very well-run. And they deal with people well. I'll always keep an account here.”

The tellers and customer service representatives seemed to be nice enough but not as fast moving as I would have liked.
