Crystal springs resort stay for me was ok. Going into this birthday weekend for my sister we had a small group and we booked the biggest two bedroom suite they offer. I was ready with that price tag to be impressed. To have had a luxury experience and honestly missed the bar.The spa was lovley. They did a very nice massage and it was clean and relaxing. But there was a mixup with checkout. The attendant checked me out as someone else. When she realized (an honest mistake) she needed a manager to get involved so she told me to head on my way and she would call me and let me know what the resolution was. The call never came i followed up at checkout with the front desk. Mistakes happen but follow up shouldnt come from the customer again at this price point. The pool was another bust. It was nice and the food options were good but not a chair in sight and this wasnt a kids off from school holiday weekend. We were waiting for our room to be ready as we had wine cellar reservations downstairs and checked with the front desk a few times but got a cold and somewhat snarky responce of would you like to upgrade your room and be in sooner when we were already in a very very nice roomIt was ready just a few minutes before the alloted 4pm checkin. The wine tasting was amazing. Susan is worth the hour. She was engaging and informative and loved her job. You could tell. Dinner at crystal tavern again fine. Food was good service was good. Nothing knocked my socks off for the price and experience i was expecting. Then we did a champagne challet and our server Nicole...AWESOME! so friendly helpful attentive. We had a blast. Again food was just ok .Checkout was as most reviews have been saying filled with fees we didnt expect. That truly put the biggest bad taste in our mouths. Those massive resort fees and multiple taxes should be disclosed up front.Overall it wasnt a bad experience we had a nice weekend. But for the price point i was expecting better service , and transparency around total costs.

Horrible customer service. Will never return to this hotel. Booked a room package and was called weeks later being told I was unable to use the package booked even though was told by their customer service it was applicable and the website allowed me to book the package and was told that would be looked into. Any decent customer service would have honored the reservation

Absolutely terrible spent 1,000 dollars for a busted out dated 2 bedroom suite only to bring it to there attention and say oh well we can’t do anything about it. Worst service do not waste your money or time coming to this trash resort.

So I have to start by saying it was a nice place to go for a short weekend trip to celebrate my wifes birthday . I must say and be fair that overall the entire place was in very nice shape, grounds were well kept, food was good ,service staff and other guest that were there made for a overall pleasurable experience ,pool was clean and the spa services were the quality you would expect from a 4 star type hotel . We did enjoy ourselves and had a nice time .So the problem we had was the value for what we paid and what we received overall . I picked a nice room 1 bedroom Junior suite which was almost $1,100 @ night but for that kinda money the room was just OK at best . The shower door was busted but was to their credit was immediately fixed with in a half hour by the attentive staff but for a grand a night I have to be honest I have come to expect nicer for that room rate .....It wasn't bad and I wouldn't bother to mention the below if it was even $500-700 @ night but it wasn't it was Grand. Iam not super picky but i think its fair to say wall paper shouldn't have patches ,the fireplace shouldn't look like a Bic lighter barely light and the ceiling fixture was installed by a drunk college kid and didn't match the rest of the decor.Again it's hard to be positive then negative right after but the cost almost makes you evaluate it all even though we had a good time. I get that everyone charges a resort fee but for $67 bucks why do you then Nickle and Dime you for basically anything and everything additional is ridiculous ...Isnt that kinda thing that a made up RESORT FEE should cover ?So basically for $1,100 @ night you get a room and access to a pool ?The advertising is definitely misleading as well if you asked me ....Come to our evening entertainment ! Its a great show but its $79. Per Person on top of the almost $1,100 @ night ....Maybe if you get the cheapest room or your not staying on site and want to go to the show fine charge a fee but I mean come on another $180 for a couple to get the chance to buy a drink and not go to bed right after dinner seems Again like it's a cause "we can fee" theme here.We had spa treatments and Yes you expect them to be expensive and that's OK but then they have to add a 10% service charge on top of that too ? So a couples massage is $180 each plus tax plus tip OK but then to charge us $18 each on top of that to simply spend money in your place is flat out gouging the customer and I don't care if everyone does it its not right .I know I have gone on long enough and in my defence i am absolutely not a cheap consumer but as we walked out my wife and myself said it was a very nice place and a overall good time but at almost $3,000 for two people for two nights for a nice room ,spa treatments and a few meals it would have felt like it should have been priced at $1,800 -$2,000.... and at that price point we would have felt way more value and likely to come back

CS is an impressive location. Visited the bar and toured the amazing wine cellar. Food and staff were excellent. The public areas are something special if you have an appreciation for architecture. Look forward to my next

Annoying hidden fees and cost offsets; common doorway between our room and a total stranger next door. Not a good experience.Rooms: Room decor: ok. . Nothing to write home about.Half the bathroom in the main qtrs and the other half behind a closed door. Disjointed.Common doorway with complete stranger and loud children: very annoying...

This hotel is not worth the price tag. I am currently sitting in my room listening the people in the adjacent room screaming on top of their lungs. There must be 10 people in that room or they just sound like that. When i went to the reception desk they said they cannot do anything before 11.00 pm. We came here to relax, which is very difficult when your room sounds like a playgarden. I came here to write a review and realized I should have read the reviews before I booked. Hotel is old and outdated. Hallways are dark and endless. Trust me you will spend half your time walking through these hallways. It feels like an asylum. Now I am dreading to go up to check out tomorrow with so many people talking about upcharges.

Been staying here for the last few years as a short getaway. The last two times this one included we are staying in a room that has an adjoining room door. Literally it’s like having strangers in your room. You can hear everything they do. Paying a small fortune with absolutely no peace and quiet is unacceptable. This may be our last time! People are disgusting! It’s not the place but do to the lack of sound proofing they make it hard to want to come back and deal with these other guests.

Really enjoyed my stay at Crystal Springs. The grounds were breathtaking, and even more immaculate with fresh fallen snow across the hills. Great views all around. We loved the dinner at Latour - and they were incredibly accommodating being that we didn’t adhere to their dress code memo. Their sommelier was fantastic and was incredibly knowledgeable. The only regret was not doing an earlier dinner to enjoy the views. Only complaint is that there are some additional fees associated with dining here - including a 3.5% credit card fee and an extra 10% service fee (which apparently is not gratuity).Biosphere inspired us to build a greenhouse with a pool. Loved that it felt authentic. I only wish they had a separate adults only area, as there was limited seating due to the number of families. The spa services felt a lot more luxurious than I anticipated and I thought the foot soak at the end was a great touch. The massage was good, but thought it was odd that I didn’t get a choice in the type of massage (it was automatically Swedish) or the type of pressure (therapist never asked). All in all, this resort is very close to being a 5-star stay, but there’s just an overall lack of attention to detail and proactiveness: there were snow prints in our room from the people who iced our balcony, the elevator signs are a bit unclear (and attempts to be in alphabetical order) and also at a speed that induces nausea, the lobby entrance is actually unclear and someone told us “we won’t miss it”, but the space was incredibly underwhelming. It’s really small things to nitpick at, but overall I’ll come again, with lower expectations, but still enjoy the gorgeous views.

My fiancee and I recently visited Crystal springs for Valentine's weekend. Our room was very charming equipe with a small livingroom space, kitchenette, fire place and balcony with and amazing view of the mountains. We spent the majority of our trip in the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs ☺️. My only complaint about the pool area is the number of unattended children running around during our second night. We had a blast in the arcade area even played a few of the classic board games offered by the resort. We had breakfast at the Kite restaurant located on the second floor. The service and food was mediocre at best. The hostesses were engolfed in a personally conversation (very loudly I may add) the entire time during breakfast and were not attentive to guests. My fiancee loved her omelette and toast however my chicken ( I ordered chicken and waffles) was a bit fatty and chewy buttttt seasoned very well. For dinner we made reservations for Restaurant Latour. Hands down this restaurant was the highlight of our trip. The food and service was out of this word!! The resort also offers a bunch of activities (both free and cost). We participated in the s'mores fire pit experience and loved it !!. I would like to acknowledge the guest manager Blake for his impeccable customer service !. During our second day we noticed my spouse's credit card was charged a second time for the balance of our trip and Blake was able to rectify the issue in a timely manner and even extended our check out time for the inconvenience. All in all we had a lovely time and will be returning.Rooms: Clean and charming with basic amenities
