I’ve been going here for years now. The staff is so sweet and kind. Dr Horn is truly one of the best! My dog Paisley is never afraid to go to the vet. She loves seeing everyone and they take such good care of her. I also bring my bunny here, they are great with him as well! Dr Horn really knows his stuff.

We have been going to VCC for over 20 years. Dr. Horn and the crew have always given our fur babies the best care and they have great bedside manners and explain everything to us in a simple and factual manner.

I've been taking my cats to Dr. Horn for over ten years. He's a funny guy but extremely professional, and always takes the time to explain any health issues and treatment options. He calls personally with test results or to answer questions. The office is clean, and the reception staff are friendly, prompt, and always genuinely excited to see your pet again. Dr. Horn got my diabetic cat to age 21, and made time for a newborn kitten in distress despite being very busy (that kitten is 2 now!). He is honest and clear, and makes you feel more secure taking care of pets that need extra care.

We used to have good experiences coming here, but shortly into the 2020s, there was a huge staff turnover and everything became a hassle. No requested callbacks, no gentle handling by people who are familiar with your animal, and bad bookkeeping. We ended up moving states before finding a new vet.

I’ve been taking my chinchilla here for teeth trimmings every 10-12 weeks since 2020. I previously took him to Northstar but it was three times the money. Two days ago I took my chinchilla to Mt Laurel Animal Hospital where I learned that his condition (dental disease) was way worse than I knew. He needed way more aggressive dental procedures than he had been getting. The exotics doctor (double board certified) could tell his eye was being affected by his teeth roots without an xray/CT. We had been at this vet office for a teeth trimming two weeks prior. I’m really upset that this could have been caught sooner if I had known.

Dr Horn is brilliant. The first cat he took care of lived to nearly 22 with advanced kidney disease. The second cat we put in his care, whose name was Milly (he called her Milly Vanilly) was wasting away at the agec of 12 - she weighed just 7 lbs. he correctly diagnosed IBD and put her on a decreasing regimen of steroids. She lived to 17 when she died of a heart attack. Dr Horn has heard a murmur in her yearly physical exam and warned me of the danger, but the cardiologist incorrectly diagnosed it as a functional heart murmur and did not put her on medication. We just brought a third cat, Rosie, to him that had started out as a permanent foster but I had decided to adopt her. The veterinarian who had seen her at the shelter had been unable to diagnose why she was wheezing so much. Dr Horn patiently went through all her records and squished her poop between his fingers. I had told the shelter that she had very strange poop (grey and very smelly even for a cat). He explained how they could be related and gave me great instructions how to test for the first possibility. His first guess was right and now she has stops ed wheezing and has normal poop. My sister has also taken her cats to him and noted his diagnostic skills. I love Dr Horn!

I had been using this Dr. Horn to treat my animals for 15years. I have had 4 animals he has taken care of. He has always handled all of my animals (of varying species) with care, and was extremely thorough in their treatment. The vet techs are the same. They have always been so kind and caring to my animals, especially the ones who are nervous about going to the vet.The receptionists are a different story. Over the last 15 years there has been 1 receptionist who was professional and kind. All of the others have been horrid. One receptionist, made rude comments after one of my animals passed away unexpectedly. The most recent receptionist, when I was trying to make a sick visit for my dog, I explained to her multiple times that I am unable to take off from work due to my profession. For over an hour she kept putting me on hold, checking her computer, coming back to the phone and offering up the exact same appointment time. I ended up taking my dog to an emergency hospital. Then when I called a few weeks later about a follow up appointment, which the hospital suggested, the receptionist refused to book an appointment for me since the hospital requested the records so she assumed my dog doesn't use this office anymore. I now have to find a new vet, because of how unprofessional and rude the receptionist is. I am extremely disappointed by this.

I have been using Dr Horn for at least 30 years. I travel over 1/2 hour to take my dogs to him because I trust him. All my dogs have loved him and get excited to go there! I highly recommend going to Veterinary Care Center

Service of excellence. The vet takes his time to explain everything to you in detail. He is friendly, trustworthy and very professional. He himself calls you to give you the results of some laboratory. I am very happy that my puppy Snoopy is your patient.
