I came in at 2am to get food and the young man sitting behind the food counter said we are closed to make food and I’ve gotten food there at the time to get food multiple times at this hour and per quick check policy it’s open 24/7 . The young man was on his phone and seemed like he didn’t want to work .

Rudest employees of any Quick Chek I've ever been in

We stopped here for a quick gas fill up, snacks and bathroom break. NEVER in my life as a woman have I’ve ever been so disgusted at a bathroom. The one stall’s toilet was clogged and there was blood in the middle of the floor. I told the person at the front and he either didn’t care or already knew. I didn’t see him call anyone or make a move to the bathroom at all to check it out. I’m so disgusted.

I tried this quick check on 250 Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls.
WORST Quickcheck experience ever, nobody cares about the customers and the employees have Bad attitude.
I waited for a single Bagel for 24 min in the store as they didn’t see my Order on their Kitchen Screen.
I am waiting and waiting, trying to ask someone about the order status and everyone was trying they best to avoid an eye contact with Me.
I will use a different Quickcheck but NOT THIS ONE !!!

Gas station closes overnight and you won't know until you go inside and ask. Poor service. The attendant kept staring out the window instead of simply saying they were closed.

I just pulled in and everything was opened and the guy said it was closed. Like closed not they ran out of gas or anything but closed...sounds SuS to me while he was all geared upon his uniform. This same guy was here about a week ago and I just left because I sat 15min with me and two other cars..idk what's going on here.

Cranky gas attendant who gets visibly annoyed when you don’t have a physical card as if Apple Pay isn’t standard in 2025. Bathrooms locked up tight at 9:45 PM, so good luck if you need to go. Meanwhile, people are just hanging around the lot smoking and driving like they got their license out of a Cracker Jack box. I only ended up here because Sunoco had inaccurate hours, and honestly, I regret it.

I will never come here to buy food again. I ordered sandwiches, went to pay at the cash register, came back and saw a picture, the cook went out to help a woman with a sandwich order at the terminal, in gloves with which he prepared food, pressed the monitor, which thousands of people touched with their dirty fingers during the day. Then, in those same gloves, he went to prepare food. Excuse me, but does anyone in this country have any brains left? Does the management somehow monitor its employees and hammer basic hygiene requirements into their empty heads? Or will you not do anything until you die of food poisoning?

I had the pleasure of being helped by Glen at the checkout at QuickChek, and I can confidently say he is one of the kindest, most genuine employees I’ve ever encountered. Glen goes above and beyond with every customer — always greeting you with a warm smile, treating you with respect, and making you feel like more than just another transaction.
His dedication to his job is crystal clear. He works quickly and efficiently without ever sacrificing the personal touch. Whether it’s remembering regular customers’ names, offering kind words during a rough day, or helping someone find what they need with patience and care, Glen shows that he truly cares about people and takes pride in what he does. It’s rare to meet someone who radiates such positivity, humility, and professionalism — especially in such a fast-paced environment.
What really stood out was how naturally he made everyone around him feel comfortable. He has this calm, friendly energy that puts people at ease, and it’s obvious he isn’t just doing a job — he’s building a community.
Meanwhile, the experience at the food counter was disappointing. The service took awfully long, with staff seeming overwhelmed and disengaged, even when the line wasn’t particularly long. At one point, a worker walked out mid-shift, clearly angry and complaining loudly about how she doesn’t get paid enough. It made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable.
In sharp contrast, Glen was holding down the front register completely on his own — with a long line of customers, no backup in sight, and not a single complaint. He remained calm, courteous, and efficient the entire time, treating every person with the same kindness and attention as if they were the only one in the store.
QuickChek is incredibly lucky to have someone like Glen on their team. He’s the kind of employee who leads by example and makes your day better just by doing what he does best. A true gem who deserves every bit of recognition.

I don't generally go to convenience stores since they became inconvenient. But this one is near my office so I go there in a pinch. I usually order an Italian sub. They rarely get the order right. Only 1 out of my last 7 or 8 has been correct. If they are busy, you got no shot at them building your sub correctly.

I mean, the food was edible, but it wasn't great, and service was very very slow. (I mean, like, 13 minutes for a breakfast sandwich.) The sandwich itself was OK, but not as good as at other QuickChek locations. There were issues with missing items for the person in front of me, too, which wasn't encouraging. (I couldn't tell if they had lost my order or were being very slow.) Also, they only had one napkin dispenser with any napkins in it. The other three I could find were all empty.
