This company was sold in 2021. Previous owner bent over backward to help customers.Current owner doesn't know what he is doing. I called the company when alarm went off (because I pay an annual maintenance fee) and they did not come out, saying they saw no problem.Today, I discovered the two big tanks were full because the pump stopped working because electrical control burned out. If they had come out like I pay them to, they could have found that.I had to pay plumber to discover it and pumping company and Tristate also sent me a huge bill. And now new owner said I never called them when alarm went off. Please save yourself a lot of money and headaches and don't deal with these people.

I am sharing my experiences as a last resort to unresolved issues with this company. I have been a customer with a yearly maintenance plan since 2016. Last year, when I received my maintenance bill it had increased by $100. I called and was told by the new owner, Ras, that this was the first increase in 12 years. I shared that my issue was not with the increase but merely that customers were not made aware of the increase. Most recently, when work needed to be completed on the septic system, we were very communicative with the owner directly and other staff about the job as it was based on needs identified in a septic inspection. On the day the work was being done, I was contacted by a panicked staff member stating that the technicians were unaware of the scope of the job. We had several emails directly with the owner and additional phone conversations with other staff to confirm the work that was to be completed. As a result, we were billed nearly $1,000 over the estimated amount. I have contacted the owner once again to share my dissatisfaction and express my opinion that Tri-State’s business practices are underhanded; however, the owner, Ras, disagrees. I have made him aware that I would be sharing my experiences online, and his response is, “That’s your prerogative.” I will never work with this company again, and I would caution you to avoid them as well. I am never opposed to paying a fair price for jobs that are completed or working with contractors who are honest and dependable. Tri-State is not on of those companies.

I am deeply sorry for this company. As a new customer there, they treated me very badly. First they measured my septic tank sludge wrong (when I placed the order for the company to pump out the sludge, it turned out there wasn't even anything to pump out). Second, after calling them back (spoke with Debi) she dismissed the whole situation. Long story short, now I have a bill for over $300 for an incorrectly checked septic tank. I really understand that we're all human and everyone can make a mistake, but a manager should know better about how to handle situations like this, which clearly she does not. Save yourself some money and call someone else for service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!
