So I grew up in this town. In my youth this place was called noonies by the locals. Back in the 60s Joe noonie hand cut all the sandwiches, burgers and steak sandwiches from the butcher shop in the back of the market. It has since been through several hands. I had breakfast there the other morning and resisted my now ancient history. The old locals still refer to Neptune market as "noonies". Force of habit. I did not have a sandwich this time but will with the next visit. I did enjoy a couple of eggs and a lot of memories. Change is inevitable and I wish the newest care takers success.

Enter as Strangers…Leave as Friends is the sign posted in the Neptune Market. My husband, son and I walked in 17 years ago as Strangers but as we leave the island every year after our traditional “Last Supper” we feel like family. The market continues to offer high quality produce, meat, snacks and appetizing but you must make it a point to sit down at the counter for breakfast (pork roll, egg, and cheese) lunch (the Nooney Burger is THE BEST BURGER on the island) or dinner where Joe and the team will honor any request. Joe, Amy and the entire crew serve magical food with a smile and always make you feel special. Yes during rush hours at the height of the season it can be crowded but there’s a reason for the crowd and/or the wait…it’s worth it.

Neptune Market has been our go to for 20+ years. IMO it’s only gotten better and better. Amy just made me the absolute BEST Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. You may have a longer wait than what you want but it’s always worth it. Oh, and they have a good produce and meat selection too! I don’t know what we’d do without the ‘Tune!

I stopped in for a Pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich before fishing. It was excellent!

Been visiting this place for 30+ years and it keeps getting better and better! These folks not only fly the best food from their griddle, grill and sandwich station, but they do it with a smile and welcoming attitude even when under pressure. I've never seen 2 dozen eggs, cheese steaks, burgers, dogs and hoagies going at once and they never lose a beat! Thanks for keeping a great place in LBI history alive!! Will see you soon!

Great spot, sit at the counter, and you'll be watching them cook your burger right in front of you with all those great swells. They have much more, including a takeout counter for tuna, an amazing macaroni salad, potatoe salad, and plenty more to list. Thanks.

This place is an HC staple. We have loved coming here for years, the owners are nice with high quality food and a good selection when you're in a pinch. We know we will be paying "on island" prices when we go here and have made our peace with it.What I haven't made peace with is the experience at the cash wrap. They now charge an extra credit card usage fee, yet don't disclose this fee in advance to customers anywhere in the store. If you do pay cash, they have decided that some coins are not valid and round up or down however they choose. I recently ordered from the deli expecting to pay what was advertised on the digital board, the kid told me that price was wrong and it cost more now with a shoulder shrug.Correct pricing signage, advance fee disclosure (or hey, build it into your pricing), and idk, giving people proper change when they pay cash- these are things that would bring Neptune back to a 5-star experience.

HC resident and last visit to Neptune. Kids run the counter and don’t know what they’re doing. Good luck if someone answers the phone. Order was wrong and it took a long time to straightened out. Requested they cancel my order and the kids did not know how to do a refund. Very dysfunctional and not worth the frustrating experience. Taking my business elsewhere.

This was our first time at the Neptune Market and my family was highly impressed. I was surprised that there was a full service grill here so it's really like two places in one: a grocery store and a breakfast/lunch grill. We sat at the counter and ordered our food with chef Joe who offered many recommendations and said we weren't limited to ordering from the menu. The food was perfectly prepared and my young kids said it was the best food they ate all week so we went back two days later for more! The staff clearly pays attention to details since the place was impeccably clean. The market side has everything you need from a miniature grocery store and it was well organized and well stocked. The Neptune Market will now become a routine stop for breakfast or lunch when my family of 5 goes to the island.

We recently stayed on LBI for spring break with our three kids ages 3-10. We went to many restaurants that week, but we all agreed Neptune Market was the best! The kids begged to go back a second time that week. Joe and Amy did incredible work to cook us a fantastic lunch during both visits. The atmosphere was friendly and a great place to be! Can't wait to go back in the near future.

This is the best little market around! It's my go to place if I'm missing an ingredient or just need something really fresh!! Their inventory is deceiving in such a cute little store. They even let me borrow their lemon zester one day! Super staff....

Cool little market on the way to the Barnegate lighthouse. Grill with bar service has all of the breakfast staples (try the porkroll). Small attached grocery store is great if you need anything

Love the convenient nature of the store that also makes great hot food. It’s one of the few restaurants that stay open months after the end of summer.

Family owned, family run and if you don’t “see it” out front, ask, they’ll have it in the back for their culinary menu. They have an expansive inventory for such a small place! The crowd will alway be the best indicator how popular they are!!
