10/17/25 - Kevin is a superior technician and takes a personal interest in each job. Every time I took my 3 year old Nissan Frontier to the dealer for an oil & filter change it would drip oil on my driveway for days afterward - the last time the dealer changed the oil it really never stopped leaving spots. I brought it to Kevin and it never left a drop. Kevin also offered some great tips on tire pressure and other areas of maintenance.
8/20/25 - Kingpin Custom came highly recommended to me by a friend. I called Kevin since I had a brake vibration problem on a 2023 Frontier with only 23,000 miles. After 2 visits to the dealer where they replaced the brake fluid then the rear brakes the vibration was still very noticeable. Kevin performed a number of diagnostic tests and determined it was coming from the front brakes even though it could not be felt through the steering wheel under normal conditions. Kevin replaced the front brakes at a fraction of the cost the dealer charged me for the rear brakes. I’m very happy to have found someone so knowledgeable and honest to service my vehicles.

Kevin found the problem in a few hours. 2 other shops in the area kept telling me I needed to replace the entire camshaft after trying numerous other replacements. Someone suggested Kingpin, left the car with Kevin, he hooked it up to the computer, took it for a drive. Told me what he thought it was from his experience. Did the work for a few hundred not a few thousand that the entire cam would cost. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic I have met in many years, have been recommending him since.

Small business owner who takes a personal approach to repair. He's a straight-shooter and can resolve an issue quickly. You'll have options for your repair, and someone who will be creative for your older vehicles in order to keep them on the road. Mine has over 200,000 miles, so paying for unnecessary labor at a dealership is out of the question. Kingpin offers you solutions, gives you honest responses and will care for your vehicle like it's their own.

Kevin is a funny guy, showed me what my problem was and fixed it up pretty good. Price was more than reasonable for his time, guy really knows what he’s doing and cares for his customer. big ups Kevin.

Kevin was beyond helpful fair and honest. He helped my family through a very stressful time after our family daily driver had a check engine light and suspension problems. He was honest about pricing and straight forward. Also enjoys explaining to you what is wrong with it without being condescending in anyway. Will always bring my business to to KINGPIN CUSTOMS!!!

We've been searching for 3 years for a mechanic for our 2 '79 Trans Ams and finally found Kevin. We met with him and brought the first car to him within the week. He listened to our needs, and looked the car over and repaired the whole brake system, fixed the rattling exhaust, oil change, balanced all wheels and a few other things. These cars are very personal to me and I am so thankful kevin was able to take on the job. Very friendly service from a real mechanic at a reasonable price. Thanks so much Kevin and I look forward to bringing my blue trans am for the work it needs.

I can't recommend this shop enough!!! I have been feeling like I would never get my VW beetle fixed right. After taking my car to other auto shops, including the dealership where I purchased, I was starting to give up hope and was even thinking about selling (but I love my bug!!) I would take the car in and end up with something else broken and the repair not done correctly. I was recommended by a friend, and I won't ever take my car anywhere else again! My beetle is running like new! The process was smooth start to finish. I was informed of the price before any work was done, and what was wrong with it was explained to me in detail and explained again after I picked it up. Kevin also took the time to explain how often I should be checking my oil so that the car can last longer.

Brought my cars here for 15 years. Two things I care about-- not getting ripped off and the job to be done CORRECTLY, which is what I get here at "King pin custom". Compared with other repair shops I tried in north jersey in the past, you don't get price gauged here- the parts + labor costs are fair. The main guy, Kevin told me he has been repairing cars (and jets, at one point) for over 30 years, which gives me confidence that he knows what he's doing. He asks for permission before completing the job. Only thing is, you have to put car in front of his garages, so I always ask him exactly where he wants it before I drop it off
