This branch is run exceptionally well.Miss Margarita is one of the most amazing bank employees I have ever met. She is always extremely helpful, kind and responsive. I also enjoy working with miss Angels the manager of this branch. She is also very kind and helpful. Overall I am impressed with how amazing this bank is and how personable everyone here is. I would highly recommend opening an account and if you have any questions or need assistance always ask for Margarita because she is simply the most amazing bank rep I have ever met.Thank you for always being there for me.

I've dealt with Columbia Bank since 2013 and felt they were a good bank. However, I don't know if they've changed management or they expanded too fast, but during the last few years they have changed for the worst. Their "High Yield" checking accounts have stayed ridiculously low, while other banks have increased their rates. The last 2 times I've called Customer Service, they actually lied to me!! I was supposed to get an escrow refund. When I complained about the delay, the first rep told me I would be getting the check on Nov 1st. The 2nd rep said I was "on the 2nd batch of checks being sent out". When I complained to her, she put me on hold for a long time and her nasty supervisor got on the phone and proceeded to tell me I would NOT be getting a refund because the Escrow Statement sent to me had an error. I've received no letter informing me of such error, nor have I received a letter of apology. I suggest you bank someplace else.

After having a multitude of issues over the course of the years, today I am switching banks. After years of hassles with respect to simply cashing my paycheck, I go in today and cash my check at the ATM, which then spits out a receipt that says “error, please contact your financial institution.” After going inside, the teller proceeds to tell me that I “dropped” my money and didn’t deposit anything. Still here awaiting their response. An actual joke and frankly could very well be a violation of the Depository Institutions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980 pursuant to SuDoc Class Number: SAE 2.111

I have dealt with Columbia for about 5 years. My experience with them has been strictly in the area of home mortgage. You could not ask for a better experience. When visiting this particular branch I can only say that they are gracious and helpful. Anyone who I have had to rely on has come through without fail.

This bank is by far the worst I've ever dealt with. I dealt with incompetence, worst customer service, and unprofessional staff. I always kept cool when I would deposit a check and it wouldn't clear for a full week when I already had money sitting in there. There phone app is always down. Times I've been inside in the past there are people complaining..Not to mention when I just went to go close out my account, one of the female workers with short blonde hair said "thank god". Then had a child who is younger than me, tell me to make sure I move my direct deposits to the other bank I may be using. While the woman with blonde hair stood by and watched. As though I haven't been working and paying bills way before he even started working. I've never been treated so rudely in my life. Especially for someone who never complained about how horrible they were.. I simply took my business to a different bank. I would not suggest anyone banking here. Saving you the trouble.

I just visited this Columbia bank. I was very happy with the team they have over there. They helped me with my situation especially Brandon, Margarita, and Branch Manager Angela Mattina. They resolve the problem !!!!. I really recommend this bank to everyone, very friendly staff, very clean bank. A+++++

Since I was switched to Columbia bank from Atlantic Stewardship it hasn't been a good experience. The ATM in Hawthorne, doesn't work often (with no note on it that its down). I don't even try to use that ATM anymore. I have had my debit card declined multiple times even though there are plenty of funds available. Can't wait to switch. Definitely not the same personalized service I used to receive with Atlantic Stewardship. I can't wait to change banks.

Went into Columbia bank to cash a Columbia bank check. The kid looks at the check then decided he needed to call the person who wrote the check to "make sure it was ok" that I cashed the check. He then is whispering in the phone to the person right in front of me like a was a criminal. My husband wrote the check. It's his account. Never heard of such a thing as I have gone to other banks to cash checks that were given to me and never had a issue. There's a reason this place has one star. And my husband will be switching banks as we do this frequently and this behavior is ridiculous.

Buyer beware! NO ONE in this branch knows their products. Be very leery about what they tell you. Double and triple check to make sure information is accurate. I would NEVER use this branch to set up new accounts or to have them answer questions about existing accounts. Have never contacted any other branch, but one of them has to be better than Hawthorne. My suggestion would be to verify what Hawthorne tells you with their corporate location. Really sad that these people are earning a salary and can't answer a simple question accurately. The prerequisite to work there must be don't pay attention to your customer, do what you want to do and tell customers anything you want to tell them.
