I cannot say enough good things about the learning tree preschool!! They take amazing care of my child, and truly put the health and wellness of the children first. The staff are absolutely amazing, kind, wonderful, and they really care about the growth and development of the children that attend. I am so happy I found The Learning Tree

Do not send your child here. My oldest attended years ago and back then it was a decent school. I recently decided to send my youngest there and it has been a terrible experience since we started. The door is always unlocked and often unoccupied where anyone can walk right in. In this day in age security measures should be top priority for any school but clearly not for TLT. The turnover for teachers is high, he's been there less than a year and has had 3 different teachers so far. Communication of concerns simply is ignored in their app, but then they say we care about your concerns. How if you have ignored my communicated concerns for days? After years of dealing with covid their policy is still not clear. One day they say you can bring your kid and test on-site, then they say you have to have a pcr which takes 2 days for results. Ensuring our kids are not exposed and healthy is always important but having a clear policy is as well. Working families don't always have easy backups for daycare and that should be taken into consideration. Lastly, during black history month the director cornered the two black moms asking for insight on how to run a black history program. It was so weird, uncomfortable and disingenuous. I would absolutely not recommend this school. I definitely would not recommend black and brown children to go to this school.

My daughter went to Learning Tree from 6 weeks until kindergarten and I have nothing but fabulous things to say! The family owned school is MUCH more than a “day care” they actually teach them and truly prepare them for kindergarten. My daughter was the only one in her class who was able to read sight words , write her name , etc in her class!!! The constant communication is what really made leaving her easy! The photo updates & ability to text throughout the day was the best part!! They have extremely high end security systems in place ie: cameras, intercom systems, locked doors etc. I couldn’t recommend a better pre school for anyone else’s kids.

The Learning Tree is by far THE BEST preschool in town and in the surrounding area as well. We know families that come from other towns to send their children here. When I talk to other parents from other schools, I am often shocked to find their children do not get the same personalized attention as mine have gotten. We are spoiled but now know the treasure that we have found here.Both of my kids have gone through TLT and they have practically raised them and loved and cared for them as if they were their own. The class sizes are small, and the curriculum is well aligned and will prepare them well for kindergarten (my daughter went to kindergarten as a reader along with a bunch of her pre-k classmates). Both of my children learned all of their milestones here, including potty training!I was shocked and appalled to read a negative review below and I can say the situation described is not only poorly punctuated, but it cannot be further from the truth, and is most certainly the writing of a bitter and irresponsible individual projecting their own parental insecurities and deficiencies as a provider on an easy target: a small business with a google profile. Mike and Diane are wonderful, caring, hard workers who care more about their preschool kids and families than about money. Of course, at the end of the day, they have a business to run and if they are going to keep the lights on and raise other people's children, people need to pay tuition! Also, let the record show that Diane does not smoke! They are highly professional people who have worked with newborns and young children for years and years. They have deep routes in Hawthorne and, especially if you are a new and young family living here, will help you become a part of the community.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the Learning tree preschool. Mike and Diane, owners of The Learning Tree, are wonderful people and business owners. They have every family and child's best interest at hand and at the heart of what they do on a daily basis.My son has had a great first school experience here and continues to do so. The staff loves him, are so patient with him, and have his best interest at hand always. Learning environment, communication with parents and caring and compassion are top notch! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a daycare/preschool!

Never again there was a kid sick and my daughter got sick she was out for almost three weeks the staff or the owner of the place mike didn't even bother to find out if my daughter was ok she was almost admitted at the hospital when she was seeing by her pediatrician they let her go back to the daycare they fed my daughter only one bottle of milk throughout the 9 hours she was there and they stated she was crying and supposedly having diarrhea again so call mike he stated he doesnt know anything about the situation so i said how you have no communication with your sttaff he didnt answer so his like you owe $500 dollars so mind you my daughter hasnt been in for almost a month not even a call now you worry about is your money insted of the kids there and he lie about that we owed that amount wish is $250 that was going to pay but not treat my kid like that and even lie they are very unprofessional never again...ooh the lady diane always smell like cigarettes you take care of newborns shame shame
