I was just there in the owner was so kind and so helpful! I wasn't sure if I could get there today but he was kind enough to put aside a product for me , but I was too excited I had to go get it today LOL as I was speaking with the owner and looking around I saw at least 5 to 7 pieces I would love to have in my apartment. I would have bought them on the spot but we're currently remodeling a few rooms and I want to make sure the color palette we have down before I go back in there. trust me this place is amazing everybody! It is a need to go place in Hawthorne! people of all ages will love it. There is absolutely something there for everybody! this is officially my new favorite spot in Hawthorne.

This store is very unique. Full of color, unique gifts and art. I love the furniture and the cool T-shirt's. The owner is also very nice. Ask about his custom work. Don't hesitate to visit!!!!

I love this funky little store and it has something for everyone. Original graffiti art can be customized on pretty much anything (by the owner himself) and works by local artists are displayed throughout the store. Handmade jewelry, Knick knacks, records, clothing, home decor, furniture, candles (graffiti scented!) and much more. This place is like a treasure chest of unique items - and you can't find them on amazon! When we came for the opening my husband purchased a smaller art piece for his man cave and I will be back to buy an original Sade t-shirt for my sister when it nears her birthday. Tons of hip hop references from my youth are throughout, nostalgic for us older millennials but works by young artists keep it fresh for those who don't remember rap before Biggie died. If you don't find what you are looking for, ask the owner (Sam) and I'm sure he will make/find it for you. Shop local New Jersey!

Hawthorne contains a plethora of hidden gems, but Sam at Shop Local is most definitely the rarest gem of them all. The uniqueness of his shop and the kindness of his personality are the icing on the cake when needing to scratch the creativity itch. In an age of Etsy having literally under the sun, it's nice to have a real life local artist who covers everything and anything. Don't try to understand it, just seriously go.

I've already bought tons of things here. Haha. Sam thinks outside the box. You can go check out his wide array of work. They'll personalize anything you can come up with, basically. He also has a huge variety of diff artists displayed, apparel, home decor, jewelry and my personal fave, the graffiti candle, etc. It's always a laid back, fun environment and you can't help but make a new friend in Sam while you stand and admire all the cool stuff. Def swing by and see for yourself, it's awesome!

Had the pleasure to meet up with Sam at his new studio today! WOW is all I have to say. The studio is beautiful with all types of art genres represented. Though I am an artist myself I was blown away by Sam's talent and passion for the arts. He is currently designing my staff T-shirts and making a custom wall piece for my studio. This place will not disappoint you, especially if you are looking for local artistic creations that are spectacular! Definitely worth visiting and supporting a local business
