Carlos and Alex were incredibly attentive to every detail I asked for and made sure everything ran seamlessly. The food was amazing and plentiful. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. “I hosted my husband’s surprise 40th birthday party at Halo Lounge, and I can't say enough about how incredible the entire experience was! From start to finish, everything was seamless, stress-free, and exceeded all expectations.

Sal, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with—very responsive, friendly, truly accommodating, and so easy to work with. From our first meeting, he walked me through every detail, making the planning process effortless. He stayed in touch throughout, answered all my questions, and ensured everything was set up exactly as I envisioned.

The venue itself is next-level! It has a cool nightclub vibe (can easily transform the space to fit your event type), with a state-of-the-art sound system, an incredible light show, and a massive 32-foot bar that was a huge hit with our guests. The flexible seating and table setups let us customize the space exactly how we desired. Super easy parking.

What really sets Halo apart is how much they offer to simplify event planning. We booked their Starlite DJ, and he was phenomenal—playing all our favorite songs while seamlessly mixing in his own picks to match the crowd’s energy. He kept the vibe high all night and was amazing on the mic! They also offer catering services, backdrops, photo booths, décor add-ons, and much more, making the entire process so much easier!

And let’s talk about the Halo team—absolutely amazing! Our two bartenders were pros, serving up fantastic drinks and handling our crowd of 60 effortlessly. Huge shoutout to Julio—the true MVP of the night! From setup to the very end, he made sure everything ran smoothly, handled any requests with patience and a positive attitude, and went above and beyond to help. Julio, you are the best!

My husband had an unforgettable night, and our guests haven’t stopped raving about how fun the party was and how unique the venue is. If you’re looking for the perfect place to host an incredible event, Halo Lounge is the place! We will definitely be hosting future events at Halo and recommending it to our friends and family. “Great historic theater. The sound at the Dark Star Orchestra event, 11/20/2025, was great. It was very clean and clear. Great crowd, great staff and the band was extremely good once they got warmed up, which didn't take very long. Dark Star Orchestra always delivers professionalism.
Parking is easy enough with both street parking and a parking garage close by. A pretty laid back experience all around.”

“This is the best VFW in the state if you’re looking for a space to rent !! Had my wedding reception here and from step 1 Jesse was nothing but helpful and excited as if I were his own daughter. He made sure the space was able to transform into my dream venue and gave us free rein over what we wanted the place to look like. The building is all freshly renovated and is honestly one of the prettiest VFWs I’ve ever seen. When the day of the wedding came everything went wrong on my end and the day was chaotic. I called to let Jesse know and he immediately had the Worlds best bartender Mike call me and assure that the night would run smoothly. Once we got there the party was on, Mike went above & beyond and my family was raving about him afterwords. VFW Lodi made my wedding day one of the best days of my life. I would recommend them 1000 times over!!!”

“I have 2 separate positive reviews about this place:1) As a drop in play gym, it's phenomenal. If you're local, it's just such a nice low sensory place (not too loud / packed) for kids to come, swing, play with toys, etc, and the staff are always great. It never feels overwhelming, but there are so many things to do!2) We had a birthday party for our kid here recently and it was AMAZING. Like, I truly cannot emphasize just how on top of it Kim (the owner) and her assistant were. In terms of transitioning to different times of the party, setting up food, handling setup and break down, etc. We are already talking about just doing the next birthday here again because it was so easy and frictionless!”

“Long before this theater made national and international news I last visited this cinema almost 30 years ago when I saw Apollo 13 with relatives and enjoyed it. It was kind of run down while the tenplex and triplex down the street were still popular but I enjoyed the film.”
