I don't recommend this Midas location. I have been there twice for my 2019 Toyota Camry. Last year, I went once because one of the tires was slowly leaking air. They checked it and said it's safely patchable and they did the job and it worked okay since then. Straightforward job that any car service should be able to provide.
I visited them again a couple weeks ago because my AC was not doing very well with this hot summer. It was definitely working but slow and low efficiency (like 30-40%) but it was not dead and no leaking noise or anything like that. I asked them to check it and see if it needs a recharge.. etc. I did leave the car there and went to the nearby grocery store with my wife. I then receive a call from there front desk guy saying we inspected your AC and it looks like it uses a fancy freon and quoted me $500 to recharge it (About a month before that, I got a quote $180 from the dealer to recharge), so definitely I said no and I passed. Looking back at this, I wonder if my response might have made him unhappy? I pick up my car and I realize later there is a very obvious hissing/shrieking sound that goes away if I turned my AC off. Definitely a sound of leaking freon/or basically they have not sealed the system well when they inspected it (non-intentionally or intentionally who knows!!). Also, the big blow is that my AC now went from okay-ish/not great/about 40% efficiency to 0% efficiency and literally blows hot air even after giving it sometime. So I might as well just roll down my windows, and they basically they ruined it completely. I go back later and same front desk guy, who sort of act like he does not remember seeing me but after looking the car up, he does say "well we only did visual inspection and I can not know if you did something to your AC after you left us." Really, like I would drain my own AC myself? He refused to take responsibility for the damage they did and said it out flat that if I wanted them to take another look at the damage they have done, they will now charge me a flat fee for inspection. He was dismissive and somewhat rude. Abysmal customer service. I should have just stuck with my dealer, so lesson learned.
Do not go to this MIDAS location on 35 .

I have been coming to Midas in Hazlet for years and would recommend and refer anyone here. They are courteous and will explain the work that is needed and let you know when certain services can wait, which is much appreciated. Steve and his employees are wonderful!

2 years ago they did work on my car, they changed the water pump on my explorer, it ended up being a headache, the work left an oil leak, I filed a complaint at the shop, according to the mechanics here, they fixed the problem twice, last month I took the car in one more time to fix the leak, again they told me the job was done, the week before I put my car on a lift and realized all they did is clean the parts stained with oil, they did not change the packaging or solve the problem, again it has an oil leak, I do not recommend the Hazlet store to anyone, avoid it if you can.

Dropped off my car for a 9:30 appointment, and it got looked at almost instantly. I originally had it in for an oil change, AC check (it was blowing out hot air) and to check a leak on one of my tires. Ended up getting two new tires with install, a serpentine belt replacement, an oil change, a frion recharge, and a leak test that I still have to go back to complete. I spoke with Steve during the process, and he was very informative and helpful. The car is running better now. I was very satisfied with my experience here, and will definitely be coming back for any future car issues.

I went in last week to get an oil change on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler.
There was promotion going on for $20 off.
This promotion also came with rotating the tires. I got the oil change. Then he pulled my car out. When I asked about the tires getting rotated he said I didn’t ask ?!??
It says all over that it comes with that. I also did not get any fluids topped off, air in the tires, nor did he check the filter.
I got there at 5pm, sign says they close at 6pm. The guy behind the counter said they’re closing at 5:30 and he had to get it done for me.
This is the very last time I step foot in this shop! I was blown away at the way I was handled!

5 years ago I had my exhaust system replaced by Midas in Hazlet NJ. What a great experience! So when I was having brake issues, other than researching the cost of replacement, my choice was this same Midas Facility for that replacement. Very professional and friendly! My brakes were replaced before the time I was told, but to drive away confident, in my choice of a facility for my brakes, is the ultimate feeling!!!! Thank you again guys, I highly recommend your Midas Facility located on Hwy 35 South Hazlet NJ.
