“Wonderful, caring people work there and upon arrival my dog got loose from his collar but the staff was right there to get him inside thank God. Also when I picked him up, they were kind enough to walk him to the car for me. Plus they were available for all follow-up calls too. Very highly recommended them and I appreciated all their help.”

“We’ve been taking our dogs to LSAH for years now, ever since my first dog Rosie was a puppy 14 years ago, and Rosie is still going strong. We’ve always had good experiences with LS, but especially loved Dr Y, and now we see Dr Regan, Dr Stacy, and Dr Scott and they are all amazing. We recently saw Dr Haupt and she was great too.
I’m only clicking the “overpriced” button despite being happy with their vet services bc all vets are overpriced these days and the prices for a regular exam HAVE gone up at LS considerably. That said, I believe in most cases, you get what you pay for, and I feel that my dogs have gotten excellent care from LSAH.”
“The Vet was extremely friendly. She answered all my questions and concerns. She took the time to listen. Although I have a snippy dog, the staff handled him with gentleness and kindness. I was recommended this Vet came recommended by a dear friend. Needless to say she was right about how friendly the staff is.”

“If I could give one million stars, I would. This place was truly a godsend. My dog suffers from random ear infections and we recently moved to the area. We were tired of commuting to our old vet, so we searched for something local and came across this office. The reviews immediately stood out and they absolutely did not disappoint.
The doctor and the entire staff were amazing. My dog is usually anxious and ready to run out the door, but this time he genuinely did not want to leave. Between the treats, the calm energy, and how kind and patient everyone was, they made him feel completely comfortable. They also got us in for a same day appointment, which meant so much.
I truly love this place and feel confident knowing my dog is in great hands here. I am so happy we found our new vet and Buddy is too ??”
“When we brought our pups home
We knew someday we would sadly need to say goodbye. Unfortunately, that time came sooner than we could’ve expected for my beautiful Harley girl. From the onset of symptoms to the day we said goodbye the doctors and all the staff were there to answer questions and lend guidance. Our calls were always returned, questions answered, and love for my girl given. We recently brought our boy in for a checkup and the comforting words from everyone meant more than they will ever know. I completley trust my babies in their care. We may not like to hear bad news but it’s taken better when it comes from someone who loves your pet as well. Thank you for being so wonderful during a difficult time”
“They do a great job taking care of my girl. My only issue is occasional conflicting information. Example. She was just in for her annual exam. I was told a stool sample wasn't necessary, yet the vet asked for one during the visit.”

“This was our first visit, and it turned out to be one of the hardest days after our cat was diagnosed with cancer. Dr Montekio was incredibly compassionate, gentle, and kind throughout the entire appointment. She took the time to explain everything clearly and answered our questions with patience. Even while delivering such difficult news, she made us feel supported and not rushed. I’m deeply grateful for the entire office's empathy and professionalism, and I’m thankful we found a vet who truly cares during moments that matter most.”

“Colonial Animal Hospital was initially recommended to me for acupuncture after I decided to go a conservative route to treat my doxie’s IVDD. While my vet was not thrilled and so sure she would not recover without surgery, Dr. Vokral was onboard with trying acupuncture and was detailed in explaining it all. The staff there are all warm and welcoming and will not meet a better group to share in the little victories along the way. I’m happy to share that my girl does have a wobble walk down and would not trust anyone else with girl on this journey, as I’m sure it’s still some journey ahead. You will not find a better place and group to treat your pets.”
“I’ve had nothing but great experiences with everyone at this vet office. The veterinarians and vet techs are consistently empathetic, caring, and incredibly kind to my animals, all of whom were understandably scared to be there.
We had multiple emergency situations, including a cat with kidney disease and a dog with Addison’s disease, and the team was truly exceptional in how they handled everything. They took the time to guide us through each situation, explain our options, and support us every step of the way, which made a stressful time much more manageable.
They are on the pricier side, but considering the level of care, compassion, and expertise they provide, it is absolutely worth it for the wellbeing of my furry loved ones. I’m very grateful for this team.”
“They're always able to get you in when you need an appointment right away. Their staff is very friendly. The only thing I do not like is that you cannot go in the room with your pet. If that would ever change I would give them five stars for sure I think anyway the vets always seem nice but I'm used to being in the room with my dogs”
“When we moved I started going to a closer vet because my dog was prone to carsickness. But when she had a more serious problem, I chose to take her to the best--Dr. Heins and his team of compassionate techs. In retrospect, I wish we'd never stopped. Dr. Heins' deep love and respect for animals is abundantly clear. Thank you for many years of quality care!”
“Seamus - our 11 year old Beagle mix - has been a patient of Holmdel Veterinary Clinic for over a decade. (We also have Hopper - our crazy kitty who we adopted from one of HVC's veterinary assistants.)
Seamus just had his senior check up today. Unfortunately, Dr. Sturla found an issue that require's a specialist's care, so I'm a bit nervous and anxious about putting my sweet boy in the care of someone I don't know. I just hope everything goes well. Seamus is FAMILY. My husband and I need our sweet old sugar-faced puppy to live a long, happy, healthy life.
One thing I can say with complete confidence is that Dr. Sturla and his entire team truly care about their patients. My dog hates vet visits, but the staff at HVC are always so calm and gentle with him. I appreciate that they try to make the experience as stress-free as possible. (For both of us.) I'm an annoying "dog mom" who worries about every little lump and bump - but the staff at Holmdel Veterinary Clinic is always patient and accommodating. They take the time to answer every question and address all of my concerns. I never feel rushed or ignored. I am so grateful I found a veterinary clinic with such great staff! Everyone at HVC is always so welcoming and they make a such a fuss over Seamus. (He's such a little rock star!) It melts my heart to see how much they care. The people at HVC are true animal lovers. I knew I'd found a kind, compassionate vet the time I caught a glimpse of Dr. Sturla kissing my boy on the head. It was a small, sweet gesture, but it meant so much to me. It's definitely something I'll always remember.

“I don't think I have ever written a review but I need to. I love this man. I've been using him for the last few years and I can't say enough good things. His new assistant is also wonderful. Not having to take my sick 15 year old cat on a stressful car ride is worth every penny. And his prices are amazing in my opinion. You won't pay for unnecessary things either. He is kind,truthful and down to earth. Please keep in mind that it may take time to get an initial appointment. He is not an emergency vet. He is very up front about this.”
“Always a good experience here… I’ve had two very emotional euthanasias at this office and they couldn’t have been more professional. Was at the office yesterday with my loving but obnoxiously strong dog for a boo boo and Dr Drozd was thorough and to the point. And understood my old pups needs. I’m still lol over “he’s strong for an old fart” bc he is! Less than 24 hours later my strong maniac is showing off his boo boo to me and how much better it is already. It’s got to be tough dealing with animals who are scared and try to defend themselves out of instinct when being restrained for treatment and they do it fabulously. Big thank you from us and Rome”

“Absolutely love this office! Started bringing both my dogs here in May 2022 after moving back to NJ from college. Dr.Scott is a wonderful man who always goes above and beyond in caring for your pet, as well as provides digestible information to help you make informed decisions about your pets health. This morning, my dog was not acting right and little silver was my first call. They got us in within the hour to see Dr.Izzo, another wonderful vet at this office. He did a very thorough exam of my dog and explained to me every step of the way. It was a wonderful experience and gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such great hands. The tech, I believe her name was Katie?, also took the time to make sure she entered the ordered tests as cheaply as possible (while they were very busy), which I really appreciated. She was also so wonderful during intake and the exam. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet that allows you to be present during an exam, provides you with all the information you need to keep your pet happy and healthy, as well as staffed with individuals who truly care about your pet...they're the best!!!”

I bought my cat in for an emergency visit on a Sunday and didn't have to wait too long to see a Dr. Unfortunately I found out some bad news and ended up having to say goodbye to my Franky, but the Dr was very compassionate and let me spend as much time as I needed with him. It was a sad day but they were great about it.”
